Riverside Tavern

My family is from South Florida and we were in the area for a wedding. We went for dinner tonight, and it was Incredible. The food was so good and the employees that were working were very friendly. If we are ever back on the area we will be going back!

The ladies were both great and lots of fun to visit with. The burgers are awesome! Garbage Burgers and Bacon Cheese Burger were all great! We had fried mushrooms, pickles, corn nuggets & and mozzarella sticks, they were all great too! Can't wait to come back.

Love this place’s food! So good! Service is very nice and everything is clean!! Real close to where we live, my fam and I will definitely be eating here more! Highly recommend this place!!

Hidden gem, home of the best burger in Southwest Michigan! The garbage burger with literally any choice of fried snacks on the side can't go wrong. Cash only, but ATM on site.

Ethan and the lovely lady cook gave me and my friend the very best of hospitality as the only two customers on a Sunday night. Super friendly 10-10 will come again. Great FOOD! Gave us good directions to get back on the highway. Don’t sleep on this great dive bar! Super clean!

Update 2.13.22 The burgers are still all amazing! My favorite is the Bacon Cheeseburger Deluxe (mayo, lettuce, tomato & green olives - add onions ❤)! I'm never disappointed! This evening was special because of the super bowl/ latest blizzard and the pulled pork sandwich paired beautifully with the chocolate covered strawberry brownies...these should be available 24/7!!! 🤩
Great food! Obviously, the burgers are amazing, but everything else is delicious, as well! Good, cold beer & mixed drinks. The murals on 2 walls of a forest with deer and a stream dated 1955 really contribute to the atmosphere and set this place apart from the rest. The story is that the artist was a hobo and a clown "riding the rails" who bartered his artwork for a place to sleep (the owner at the times' shed) and something to eat while he was painting them.

Still the best burgers in Southwest Michigan!!! Prime rib lunch special A M A Z I N G, along with their deep fried dill pickles, cheese curds and corn nuggets. Love Kathy's!

Great burgers!!!! Very fresh ingredients. Good fries, too. I've only had their deluxe cheese burger and fries, so I cannot comment on the rest of their food personally but I here everything is good. Prices are good, too. Its a small town tavern with plenty of local charm. Whenever I'm up that way, instead of fast food, I pull off of exit 4 (I-196) and get me burger and a cold one.

Stopped on our way to a wedding in Holland. Great service and great burgers. Deluxe style with garbage had all the right toppings to complement the burger. Definitely glad we stopped for a late lunch.

Amazing food! Got a bacon burger and expected a freezer patty and that already done heat up microwave bacon. But I got a huge juicy real burger with thick cut bacon it was hard to eat it all, real potato fries, top top shelf in my book I would recommend to anyone!

Super awesome staff and even better food looking for a simple bar burger that doesn't break the bank "thanks inflation" this is the place to be. Simple food at and outstanding quality. 7/5 would recommend

Best homestyle bar food in southwest Michigan. Polite staff super low prices. And if your polite back they will make you a double cheeseburger with bacon and pulled pork and some wicked crispy fries... Love this place.

The Garbage Burger is a mass of meaty deliciousness on a toasted sesame seed bun! Old Style was ice cold served in frozen mugs! Bartenders were fun, attentive, and full of piss and vinegar! Loved it!

This is a really good hole in the wall place. The food was well worth the price. The fried pickles were awesome.
