Quality Inn Petoskey-Harbor Springs

I usually avoid budget hotels because so many are just nasty and are run like they might as well be in the slums of Mumbai.

I had to travel to Petroskey, MI to pick up a motorcycle, and when arriving late at night, this place popped up just 2 miles from my morning destination. I read some of the reviews and decided to take a chance.

Wow was I pleasantly surprised!

For a budget hotel, this place was very nice.

My room was large and very clean except for a couple of stains in the carpet. There were no smells at all and the table top and night stand surfaces were all clean and neat. The bathroom was very clean and well stocked with clean towels. There was even a jacuzzi tub which was older but in great shape and it sure eased my aching back.

The front desk staff were very polite and when I asked them, they gave me a recommendation for a local saloon/diner just down the street, where I was able to get an excellent meal of soup and salad before retiring for the evening.

I remember traveling as a child with my parents, when all budget accommodations were nice like this. Unfortunately those days are long gone and most budget hotels are just yuck.

Not this place!

I’m very picky and I would stay here again in a hot minute. That’s saying something.

Convenient location. Its a bit old but well maintained. No smoking indoors. The staff is very helpful. The outdoor patio, lawn and the common areas are outstanding. They also have complimentary bikes. The breakfast was standard bagels, eggs, cereal, waffle, etc. They have free cookies(very good) and coffee

Been staying here for over 30 years as a business traveler. Consistent friendly service, immaculate room cleaning and recent updates have been nice.
Bed and pillow assortment are important to me. The only hotel I stay at where I know my sleeping experience is close to mine at home!
I love having a couple of warm, recently cooked cookies available when I check in. The multiple in-room Jacuzzis are old, but they sure feel good on those cold fall and winter nights.
Going to keep staying here as long as they let me!!

Motel is right on US-31, which makes it easy to get to. Room has a whirlpool which my wife throughly enjoyed. It has a nice couch in addition to a desk.

Nestled literally between Petoskey and Harbor Springs on US-31, tucked behind the Shell station, is the Quality Inn. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Our stay turned into a nice weekend respite. And the amenities were surprisingly awesome - daily cookies, stargazing with a huge telescope, even S'mores over the patio glass gas firepit. The room was upgraded to a King with a whirlpool tub. Lastly, the complimentary breakfast had many options to choose from. So great to have a Golden Malted Waffle maker and batter.

Had a great time and felt so comfortable actually enjoying our stay at this Quality Inn.

Stayed 2 nights and the hotel was great. Location is just outside of town but close to Petoskey Brewing 😉. Check in was easy and quick and they only charge $10 a night for a dog. Breakfast was pretty simple but was totally fine. Beds are comfortable and the room is clean. All the staff has been very friendly too. First time here but we will stay again and would recommend to any of our friends.

The rooms were clean and kept with a good size jet tub. The equipment in the workout room was broken and unusable wich was a disappointment for the price paid for room at $200. The breakfast had many options and was very good. The staff were all extremely friendly and courteous though!

We stayed two nights during our fall color drive. The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly. Inside the room we were very comfortable with the cleaning, the beds were comfortable and the bedding crisp and clean. The hotel was still offering a hot breakfast during COVID. They had bacon, eggs, and a delicious pumpkin spice waffle option. There was a choice of breads, muffins, and cold cereal too. There were a lot of well-behaved dogs staying on the property, they charged a bit extra for dogs.

Friendly hostess at front desk despite getting in super late. Got me on my way in 3 minutes. Clean room. Surprised to find a jacuzzi, which I fired up and nearly fell asleep in to be honest. High water pressure, super hot water. Offered breakfast but had to be back on the road. Huge king bed. Good sized TV I didn't use. Great value for the money.

The hotel sits back from the main road a bit in a quiet wooded area. It's a nice location away from the hustle and bustle of the downtown area. Front desk staff were very friendly. Check-in was quick and easy. The room itself was honestly better than I expected and very clean. It was a fairly good size and we didn't feel cramped compared to other hotels we've stayed at. The bathroom was also large and had a whirlpool soaker tub. Overall, our stay was excellent and we will definitely be staying here again.

They had a really nice fire pit outside all night and smores kits, free bike rentals, complimentary snacks in the lobby throughout the day, great hot breakfast buffet, pets are allowed and they give you a cute little treat bag for them when you check in. The hotel was very clean and the staff were extremely nice and helpful. We will be back!!!

The office with a breakfast room is separated from the hotel proper by a distance of approximately 100 yards, up a small incline. The swimming pool is also in a separate building. It is relatively close to the hotel proper.
The hotel is located on the Lakeshore, the sliding glass doors open to the east, toward Lake Huron.

We had wonderful service, instructions were clear. We travelled with our dog and were only charged $5 a dayfor the pet fee. That is unheard of! We were thrilled!!

Also, the complementary breakfast was good, I felt safe and like it was clean. Food was packaged aside from eggs and meat.

The staff are very friendly and always so helpful. The rooms are clean and there is a great breakfast selection. The best part is my dog is so welcome and loved by all the staff too. Will definitely stay again.

The location was in a good spot. Close enough to town that it wouldn't take long to get there but wasn't so close you had to deal with a lot of traffic. The rooms were very nice, just your average hotel room though. Nothing really stood out to me. Just very basic, two beds, tv, mini fridge, microwave. One thing that was really nice was the photograhpy they had hanging on the walls were really really beautiful. Staff seemed friendly but I didn't really interact with them.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, comfortable bed, jacuzzi tub.
We had two dogs and the room was perfect, close to the door. The deck with a fire pit was great sitting around at night right before turning in.
Excellent place, reasonable price.
I'll be coming back for sure.
