Rudolphi Wildlife Refuge

Took a drive down to Cass county this evening to Dowagiac to visit the Rudolphi Wildlife Preserve and meandered onto the SMC Roadrunner trails as well. Combined between the two trail systems which are connected there’s over 11 miles of trails that include forest, wetlands, and some river views.the Rudolphi Preserve has an amazing canopy and is a great place to see a variety of shrooms. Loons and Herons as well as various ducks can be seen in the river and ponds. There are a lot of hills here so definitely not for the faint of heart. Kid friendly, dog on leash friendly, not handicap accessible and no facilities. 

Just a small little trail area. It is nice though. Well taken care of, quite, very easy to walk with children, and a nice lake in the middle.

Well maintained trails for walking/hiking. No playground or sports fields.

What an absolute gem! I was driving through town here with my husband on memorial day and we noticed this place nearby. I'm so glad we decided to check it out! The trails were clean, spacious and full of beautiful lush life. We will absolutely be back through again.

Very relaxing. Loved the nature walk although the map is very confusing. The trails are not marked. Good thing it is always like an adventure. Never know where you will end up at or what trail you will come out on. All in all I very much enjoyed it.

I loved the trail!! Very well maintained and has a nice parking lot close to the trail. Really enjoyed the time I spend there.

Absolutely beautiful park just outside the quaint town of Dowagiac. Expansive hiking trails and friendly wildlife. LIBERTARIAN 2020!!!
