Plainfield Veterinary Clinic

My boy Bandit had a damaged CCL & needed TPLO surgery. We were recommended this practice by our vet. They were awesome. Surgery scheduled quickly. Dr Blaso and the team were very understanding and caring to our needs as well as our dog.
Unfortunately he also requires his other leg to be done and this will be scheduled in a couple of months.
Overall very happy with everything.

My fur baby, Lexi gets her hair trimmed every 4-6 weeks. She use to be sedated to be easier to manage…. It was hard on her. Since she has been coming to Plainfield veterinary clinic, she no longer needs to be sedated and she can get a trim and style rather than a buzz…. She is a ten year old mix, Snoodle and just adorable. I would highly recommend anyone who wants to treat their fur baby with live to PVC….

Highest praise for Dr Blaso and the staff at Plainfield Vet. They have cared for our dogs for over eighteen years through routine checkups, minor surgery, emergency visit due to ingested people food, and diagnosing and treating for Cushings disease in our older beagle. Dr Blaso worked hand in hand with us for months ensuring our beloved dog had the right balance of medication. His medical expertise, compassion and empathy are unparalleled. Highly recommend.

Dr. Blasso is the best vet you could ask for. The level of care by him and his staff can not be beat. His knowledge is evident, but most of all, you know he cares.

Dr Lane is an excellent vet who always responds quickly to questions or concerns in regards to my English mastiff who is under her care for bone cancer. She checks in on him even on her days off to stay up to date on his health. The office staff is extremely friendly and receptive. I would highly recommend Dr Lane and the Plainfield Vet Clinic.

Dr. Sarah Lane is the absolute best thing that could of happened to my Benny and I. He came down with aspiration pneumonia after a lumpectomy. He was in the hospital for 4 days. That hospital wanted me to put him down on a Wednesday because he wasn’t responding to the antibiotics. I pulled him out of that hospital the next day and drove him directly to see Dr. Lane. Dr. Lane got him back to good health. Dr. Lane came referred from a friend after Benny was already in the hospital and she helped me the ENTIRE way while he wasn’t even in her care. He is now back to his normal self. I truly believe Benny is alive because of Dr. Lane and I can’t imagine ever seeing another vet. I will never see anyone else and you shouldn’t either!

I'm not exaggerating when I say Dr. Lane and the entire staff of Plainfield Veterinary Clinic saved our cat's life.

Our newly adopted cat, Toby, refused to eat. Dry food, wet food, gravy, treats, chicken, tuna, baby food - nothing stuck. Appetite enhancers weren't effective. Blood tests, urine samples, ultrasound all came back normal. Unfortunately, Toby continued to deteriorate. He got to the point where he was taking his last breaths on his 9th life. It was death's doorstep.

We said our goodbyes and prepared for the worst. We brought him back to the vet for what we feared was the last time.

In a last ditch effort, Dr. Lane suggested she put in a feeding tube. Anesthesia was risky, especially with his poor health, but it was the best chance he had. He survived. And in the weeks since, Toby's become more active, weighs more than his first visit, and even eats real cat food! He's becoming a normal cat.

Throughout the past several weeks, Dr. Lane has frequently stayed after hours, texted us on her days off, and even gave us her personal number in case of an emergency. Multiple times she had us leave him there all day so she could care for him throughout the day. She's made it her mission to save this cat. Without her, Toby would not be here today.

Everyone at Plainfield vet clinic has been incredibly helpful throughout this entire process. They've often fit us into the schedule last minute and have been super accommodating with everything. The front desk, the techs - everyone we interact with, truly care about the animals in their care. And we are so thankful for the effort everyone has put in to save Toby's life.

Long story short, if you're reading this looking for a vet clinic - you found it.

They are very friendly. Appointments are done easily unlike other clinics. I used to go to a different clinic for my dog, but since Covid-19 came, it was hard to get any Appointments. However , I was able do it with Plainfield vet clinic. I will stay with them

My family has been coming here for years for our dogs, & I just started bringing my cat in. Easily one of the best veterinarian offices I’ve ever been to; they are thorough & caring for your babies like they’re their own!!! I appreciate the support & education they offer (they always tell you why they are doing something instead of leaving you in the dark), as well as telling me all the options available while not being pushy. They are honest about what is necessary. There are hard working & kind people at this office; the staff has always been helpful & caring for me and my little guy! Thank you all here at this vet office for always being transparent & kind!!!

All the staff at Plainfield Veterinary Clinic are outstanding! I would recommend Dr. Blaso and his staff to anyone looking for a compassionate, friendly, and very knowledgeable staff. The lobby and treatment rooms are VERY clean. The staff all seems to have a terrific working relationship, as well. I highly recommend Plainfield Veterinary Clinic.

You know they have this Vet clinics and hospital. I first went to the Animal hospital in Tinley Park By my house. The facility looks absolutely gorgeous from the outside. I called and went in today because my cat has difficulty breathing. I send my daughter in first because I had to find a park. I told her to ask them do they see Cats that's is having difficult breathing. The answer was no because it was a clinic. Plus they was empty no patients They need more vets that see animals in emergency situation like this. I had to drive way to Aurora who was filled packed and had a 4 hour wait no matter what condition the pet is in. Plus they charge you 300 before you can even get your pet seen plus other extra charges. If I had it I would have paid it. Unfortunately I dint have it so I went to Plainfield Il was seen right away. The Dr was fantastic and the price was very cheap and the whole staff was very nice to us and my cast Misty. I highly recommend. I went to the Orland Park Emergency Vet for my cat Dough who had the same symptoms bas Misty and they first tried to charge me 1200 just to get the cat seen. But I talked them down to 600. And they still wouldn't see Dough until I paid in full. They did the same thing as the Dr did in Plainfield gave me a prescription and I had to pay $600 just for that. Then when we got home Dough got sick again they told us to bring Dough back if he started breathing bad again and when we did they turned us away rudely and told us that dough will die that night and urge us to take the cat out of his miserable since I dint have over $2000 to let him m stay over night . I was also told if Dough stayed over night it's a good chance he will die. That was a month ago and so far dough is still with us

My wife and I had to put down our family dog. Not an easy decision, we were a mess and the level of empathy, compassion, and thoughtfulness we got through the process cannot be understated. They felt like a part of our family grieving with us through the process. I cannot thank you enough, shows the level of character and passion the team has for our furry friends.

Great group, a little pricey, but they are our babies, and the doctors and nurses are very friendly and involve you in what they are doing . I would suggest them.

They saved my Baby!! I Love them!! They truly care!!

Paul is one of the best vets we ever had. We moved south and wish we could find a vet like Paul, no luck. We would go to him in a heartbeat. Maybe we can get him to move here. If you need a fantastic vet do your pet a favor and call Paul.

I have been taking my 14 year old dog here for a few months. I unfortunately had to make the decision to put her at peace today, and the team here has always been extremely caring, professional, and accommodating. Today, during the euthanasia, their entire team was compassionate, caring, and treated my dog as if it was their own. The entire process went smoothly and was done with care. Dr. Blasso is a great veterinarian, and gave me a couple of extra weeks with my dog due to his recommendations before it was time to say goodbye. We've had a handful of visits here in the last few months and I've been satisfied every time. Thank you for all that you guys do here. I would highly recommend Dr. Blasso and his team here at the Plainfield veterinarian clinic.

Good veterinary office. I have been there a few times with my dog and 2 cats. Dr. Lane has always been great. You can tell she really cares about the animals. One of my cats is a little crazy and she and her staff have no issues caring for him. I ask for Dr. Lane every time I go there.

I can't say enough about Dr.Sarah Lane & how well she took care of my schnauzer, Shadow. She treated him like family & put him at ease. He was completely calm (for a schnauzer) & absolutely loved her. I intend to keep the clinic & doctor, for many years to come. The whole staff, from the time you walk through the door, til you leave was great. Their prices are affordable too. I intend to try their "in-house" groom next month.
