Laid back. Good food company n prices. Husband had the "mo" wow. Double burger and grilled chicken on one sandwich. He said was best sandwich he's had around local. My chicken bacon n provolone was great ! Nice people as well

They have great food and a great selection! You can find something for anyone in the family there, they are limited on seating, but have outdoor tables too.

My husband and I drove 1 hour to get their for all you can eat Crab Legs. I was texting with the owner on our way their asking many questions. She kindly answered all my questions and when we arrived she greeted us and knew it was us. The Crab Legs we're delicious and juicy with a great flavor. I loved the cole slaw too. They brought the crab Legs out in a timely fashion. Thanks Anchor Grill.

Fantastic hole-in-the-wall bar/restaurant! The catfish is among the best I've had. Fried guacamole?! Amazing! Fried pickles are great, and we always get them when we see them. Go here!!

Fried Fish Sandwich - fantastic. Tasted great with fries around 11.00. Food is priced right. Worth the value.

Parking has plenty of room for cars.

Indoor and outdoor seating. Drink specials - I had a PBR, it was iced cold. Easy place to find on illinois Highway 148, between Sesser and Christopher on the west side of the ride.

Additional Review 3/21:

This place is a hole in the wall, a dive...BUT, clean and safe. Ample parking, the rocks are large so if you are wearing heels take care.

The family that owns this joint treat you as if you are family - friendly welcome when you open the door, checked on our table several times (not in an annoying way, enough to feel we were valued customers).

Thursday night is "Hot Peel and Eat" shrimp. Delicious, worth every penny. The cod fish sandwich served hot and crispy. And, as our local tradition of a "Raymond's Tavern" fish sandwich served with pickle, onions, on white bread. Ketchup to your own taste. All was served quickly with a smile.

I love to go to a casual local place like this that is clean and safe.

If you are close to Sesser or Christopher, stop by this place. You will enjoy a fantastic meal. Maybe have a conversation with some friendly locals who are happy you stopped by.

Thanks all for the great time and free balls! The staff are awesome, the whole experience of the Testicle Festival was awesome and worth the two hour drive in the torrential rains! We'll be back!
