Biaggi’s Italian restaurant is pleasing. It gives a feel of happiness when you enter the place if you had a previously good food here. Service is very nice and they give breads right when you go like chips given at most of these Mexican restaurants. I liked the ambiance, and it feels good when you are around many people, it’s a very large restaurant. Food 🥘 was very tasty depends on what you order. Mostly they have tomato 🍅 base for most food items although it tastes good.

We went for the first time before an Illini game. They were busy but not packed. Seemed to be family friendly. Our waitress was helpful and prompt. Food was all 10/10. I would go back without being on a timeline so we could eat more and get dessert. My alcoholic drink, large salad and entree were about $35.

8/20/2023 update

Very friendly staff and quite proficient in getting large orders for 8 out. The basil cherry 🍒 drink became a new fav.

5 creme brûlée for the table 😂 it is more like a custard with sugar coat but quite tasty.

The old favs never disappoint and everything is just right not salty which for dinner is so appreciated.

Get the filet , butternut squash, eggplant parm, chicken milan and don’t skip the bruschetta pick 3, all Classico for us x 2.

Do order couple salads 🥗 to eat as entree or share, it is generous and fresh.

The tradition continues as we move in more Illini! 😂

Always a solid meal here in Urbana Champaign.
~From the soft pillowy bread we started with til the Gelato and mini turtle sundae, our selections all tasted pretty good.
~Our fav was the classic bruschetta which we chose double for the appetizers.
~Ravioli x 2 with butternut squash tasting a bit more complex with the sweetness of the squash and the texture of walnuts.
~The spaghetti marinara was standard. The salmon was light and satisfying.
~The mini turtle sundae hit the spot with just the right size. The gelato 🍧 trio was yummy per our teens.
*Overall a go to place when we are visiting.

When OpenTables didn’t have an open spot at 4:45 I called the restaurant, the receptionist was very helpful letting us know to get to the restaurant and we were seated immediately upon our arrival at 5pm.

I've been to this restaurant many times. They are easy to find, and they have plenty of parking. The ambiance is very formal. They give you bread and oil, parmesan, and seasonings to mix as appetizers. My favorite dish is the black pasta fettuccine with lobster. I've never had any problem with their professionalism and service. Their host and servers are always excellent. The price is high here, so get ready to spend money. But the cost is justified.

We had a Galentine's Lunch here and I will definitely be back for Lunch again!! It was great!
The Calamari need to be a bit crispier and the Lemon Cake was too Wett. But our Waitress Faith was awesome!!! I want her everytime!!
The Wedge Salad Bomb!
The Black Pasta Bomb!
Blackberry Lemonade SLAPS!!
The Service Bomb!
It was a great Lunch and I Will definitely be back!!! SOON!!

First time ever in a Biaggi’s on a business trip and coworker suggested we have dinner here. The food was excellent. This was surprising. I went in thinking it would be something like Olive Garden but it’s not. It’s much better.
So don’t be skeptical about this restaurant. The food feels and tastes as if it’s made from scratch.

The only thing I thought was bad was the facility not having sufficient heating. It was maybe 10-20 degrees outside and the facility had a few space heaters that got the temperature to maybe 50-60. So it was a little chilly inside. I get it though - HVAC does break down and sometimes not in the best of times. That is why I decided to give them a full 5 stars regardless of the issues with their facility. Great service as well!

My culinary journey was warm and memorable. Fresh baked bread 🥖 partnered with chefs chicken Florentine soup brought comfort to my soul. Braised short rib ravioli was a first for me and one I look forward to having again. I really appreciate the option to order a small pasta portion. My server was very accommodating. Wine list offered me an exceptional Sangiovese by the glass which is always welcomed .

I brought a group of 6 for a work dinner and it was great. The bacon wrapped dates are my favorite appetizer. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The service was prompt. Good drink selection. All in all a great evening out to dinner.

Update 2/10 took a work group of 4 for dinner. New server but everything was great.

Gluten free menu upon request! The last time I had Chicken Parmesan was when I could eat gluten, so it has been a while. But it hit the spot! The pasta and Alfredo sauce was delicious. Not super impressed with the GF "bread," but the flavor was nice.

I love the outdoor seating, we try to call in advance and make a reservation just for it. Of course, the bread with the parmesan -olive oil is the best, and they even pack some for take-away orders, which is really sweet - especially during COVID - when we thought we would miss out on the warm fresh bread.

We tried the Pepperoni Pizza, the Chicken Parmesan, the Dijon Salmon, and the Rigatoni Bolognese.

Complimentary Bread + Oil - the bread was - mashed potato-based focaccia and herby sourdough with parmasean-enhanced olive oil. We have many a time asked for extra, as everyone at the tables scoops up plenty without any hesitation, and they always provide!
Pepperoni Pizza - it was good, but I wished there were a little bit more pepperoni slices for the price of the pizza.
Chicken Parmesan - was my favorite, to be honest - The chicken was very tender and the sauce was more than enough to scoop onto each bite. And the side of three cheese Rigatoni was a great compliment to the chicken.
Dijon Salmon - the grilled salmon was great, especially with the capellini that was a bit sober with the intensity of flavoring, without overpowering the salmon itself. The dijon was something I didn't expect would go well with the Salmon, but I was quite surprised.
Rigatoni Bolognese - the Bolognese was amazing and to be honest it was my first time eating Rigatoni, which was quite exciting. Even though it was just another shape of pasta, I enjoyed it with the bolognese.

Highly recommend it, especially for the warm bread and oil!!

My wife and I took my mom out for her birthday.
My wife had the Fettuccine Alfredo, which she liked.
My mom had the Garlic Shrimp Oreganata which she loved.
I had the Chicken Parmesan which was good. Personally, I thought the chicken was a bit dry, not unusual to many restaurants and the Rigatini is an odd style of pasta and was too al dente for me. But overall it was good.
We all agreed that it was plenty of food for the money. We have not been back in a long while. So the prices were high back then, and still high today. Three entrees, no drinks but water and bread pudding for my wife and it was $71 and change.

We say great for a once in a while place. Prices would keep us out as regulars. We are definitely not the upper end of diners.
Sorry, forgot pics again!

Enjoy!

My partner and myself came in around one o'clock on a Friday for a late lunch meet up. The restaurant was busy but not packed. We did have a few minutes to wait while they cleared a table. The restaurant was very clean and neat in appearance, the staff well dressed and brisk in their duties.

We were shown to our seat and we put in an appetizer order of calamari. Drinks came shortly thereafter, raspberry tea's, cold and refreshing. Our server returned shortly with the calamari, and took our orders for entrees. Fettuccine with lobster for me and Marsala for her.

Entrees took a little while to be served, but the calamari was piping hot, crunchy and cooked to a perfect texture.

We had not quite finished our appetizer when the pasta dishes arrived. Both entrees were hot, rich, and delicious. Coupled with fresh bread, and a dish of olive oil and parmesan cheese, it made for a filling, savory meal on a very cold winter day. We would definitely recommend, and will return next time through town.

Three of us stopped for dinner on our way thru town. We were so pleasantly surprised. The menu was very descriptive and the dishes just a little out of the ordinary. Jacob, our server, was quite helpful and enthusiastic about the food. Their cocktails were just delicious. Try the Basil Lemin drop cocktail.

Made reservations here for a large party, we were in somewhat of a time crunch trying to get to the Illini game after eating and Jesse and the waitresses we had were top notch and on it! We had great friendly service, good food and made it to the game with time to spare!

I LOVED EVERYTHING!!!! Lobster fettucine, a-maz-ing!! And I like that theres an option to get a smaller portion! The toasted ravioli is soooooo good! As for the bread, I stopped counting how many pieces I ate. The brushetta was also pretty good. But that's without mentioning that the service was spectacular! There were nearly 40 people in my party, and everyone was adequately served, refills and all! Lastly, one of the things we were most surprised and impressed by was the fact that there is no automatic gratuity!! 5 stars all around! I will be back.

Everything was wonderful. We had a reservation, which was a blessing on Homecoming night! Five adults, all served equally well, with delicious meals and wonderful bread and oil on the table at all times! This was my second visit, and will not be my last!
