I purchased a brand new textbook still wrapped in plastic. I took excellent care of it and when I returned for the buyback I received the top dollar for it without question.

Good books and good service. Books are cheaper and even we can rent books

Busy depending on the time of year but extremely helpful. The books are much cheaper and its and easy process. Definitely recommend them.

Wish they had more of a selection

I don't often leave negative reviews, but my recent experience at this location has compelled me to do so.

In the past, friends and family alike would sell their used textbooks here, and would often receive fair compensation for their books.

I, too, had originally had a positive experience selling my used course materials and books at Discount Textbooks. But the offers lately have been so low they are not only surprising, they are downright insulting.

Books that can be sold in an online setting are being purchased from students here a TINY fraction of their real value. And I get it. They're a business and have margins to keep.

However, as some recent reviewers have stated, the selection here is getting worse. Is it any wonder why they don't have the selection they used to? It's easy to connect the dots and put two and two together. So why aren't they? Unless they're willing to offer a fair price on incoming used textbooks, their used textbook selection will certainly not improve.

To me, Discount Textbooks is taking advantage of students and being unfair in their pricing and purchasing practices. The bottom line is, you are DEFINITELY better off selling your textbooks elsewhere, and probably better off buying from elsewhere as well.
