Residence Inn by Marriott Cedar Rapids South

First, I have to give credit to Katelyn. We had car trouble as we were en route to the hotel. This put a damper on our reservation, especially since we had a tournament to attend the next morning. Katelyn went above and beyond to accommodate us and ensured we had a room available for when we did arrive. The room was a suite and it was the perfect size for us. The room was as expected. The bed was comfy, and the couch with the pull-out bed served its purpose. There was a complete bedding set for the pull-out bed and plenty of pillows to go around. There was a small kitchenette stocked with dishes (we brought disposables, now we know for next time). It had a fridge, microwave, little stove top, and a dishwasher. The bathroom was a nice size. A huge plus; we all slept great after a trying night. The best part was breakfast! So many options to choose from that everyone ate well. We were all happy with our stay.

My family and I had an apartment fire and our Insurance company made us reservations at this hotel. We stayed here for a month. Since the moment I walked in, the customer service was exceptional!

This is a great residence inn. Rooms were comfortable. Rooms were modern. The fire pit outside was a nice touch and kept me warm in the crisp air. The lobby was clean and modern. Easy 10 min drive to the airport. The Uber ride was only 39 dollars. The front desk was unable to reserve the taxi for me which surprised me they wouldn’t do that. Or they didn’t know how.

Very friendly staff. The room is clean and spacious. It's affordable and it more than meets my needs.

After 5 months of living here I can 100% recommend this hotel for your short or long stay accommodations! I’m so proud of all the staff, Ricky, Melissa, Katelynn just to name a few have been nothing but professional, friendly, and accommodating. There had been several instances where I needed a towel or a pot or wine cork opener and they would always deliver in a super friendly way. They made my stay at the Residence Inn feel like home away from home! Another thing… the hotel is SO quiet! I rarely heard people and the customers were all so quiet and polite! If you’re worried about cleanliness, the hotel smells SO clean like I never had to worry about dust or mold! I did bring my own medical grade air purifier because I have bad allergies and was quite impressed with how clean the facility is. The gym is small but it feels awesome to have the whole place to yourself when you get a chance to sneak in the morning or evening for a workout. I love that there’s a water station and unlimited towels! I seriously can’t say enough positive things about this hotel. It seems like a rarity to have such a luxury experience with such a budget friendly price point. 😮‍💨

My family and I stayed here for 40 days after the purchase of a house fell through and we needed to find another home. Due to the length of our stay the team at Residence South was able to work out a great rate for us to rent 2 rooms during this period of time on very short notice. My wife and I have 6 kids with us and though nothing is as good as having the family in our own home, the team at Residence South were so helpful in making our stay as enjoyable as possible. There were a few issues with the rooms from time to time but nothing a simple mechanic or janitorial fix could not resolve. Overall the rooms were adequate and modern. The actual one-bedroom unit has a dedicated oven, though small, that came in handy for the long haul. The number one reason I give this hotel a five-star review is solely due to the staff and the Customer Service experience. From the cleaning crew to the front desk and management team, all have been a joy to work with. My two-year-old son even became fond of Cecilia and knew her by name. They became good buddies over the 40-day period. To this day, now that we are finally in our own home he continues to ask about her. Thank you all for such a pleasant stay during our family's difficult time. I would recommend this hotel to any family that is in need of extended-stay accommodation in the Cedar Rapids area.

Great rooms and friendly staff. The rooms are clean and very sizeable. The pool water is a bit chilly but the outdoor fireplace is a nice touch. This place kinda feels like a second home at this point.

Highly recommend staying here! Service was impeccable, especially from Dominique! He was so courteous, kind and very helpful. 10 out of 10!! Room was very clean. Firepit area outside is very nice.

Friendly service, fantastic suites, decent continental breakfast. They always ask me what floor I prefer and do their best to accommodate. The rooms have their own thermostat, coffee, dishwasher, glass stovetop, ice maker, large fridge, and a walk in shower.
I wish the beds were softer, but I can say I’ve never woken up with back pain after staying in!

My husband and I stayed at this lovely hotel for 1 night. All of the staff were kind and professional. We were able to check in a bit early because of (I'm assuming) the fantastic cleaning crew. Our room was spotless, picture perfect, and felt more like an apartment than the typical hotel room. The only sad part was I was to busy sleeping in to wake up on time for breakfast. All in all, I would highly recommend!

Outstanding customer service, every employee greets you with a genuine smile and goes above and beyond to make sure you feel welcomed. Melissa was wonderful accommodating dietary requests for breakfast and ensured I received my reward points.

Me, my children, and my pets all stayed here for about 2 months while our home underwent repairs. I cannot say enough for the staff - they were amazing. I could go on and on about all the things they did for us - getting us in on short notice, leaving us alone unless we asked for a cleaning, allowed my daughter to use the conference room for her guitar lessons every week, and more! I will always recommend this Residence Inn!

Went here for my daughters 8th birthday party & Cecilia was awesome! Very accommodating & helpful! The room was very nice & clean. Breakfast was hot & fresh! 10/10 recommend!

Great place to stay for short or longer stays with the kitchenettes in room. My kids favorite place when off to hockey tournaments. Staff is exceptionally friendly. All facilities are in great condition. Breakfast offered many choices, continually well stocked, cute mini waffle maker, oatmeal, cereals as well as hot foods. It is the one hotel where I have actually have a good nights sleep on the road.

Great little Marriott hotel. Exceptionally clean, great service, fair prices. Rooms have everything you need including the typical bath amenities plus a decent size kitchen. Our room was bigger than many big-city apartments I've been in. We requested a room away from other patrons because it was our first time traveling with a baby and they were very accommodating. There were a lot of breakfast options in the morning. Waffles, eggs, sausage, cereal, oatmeal, a variety of breads, plus coffee, juice, yogurt. I won't say it was good, but I'm a self proclaimed snob, and even I was able to eat a Greek yogurt and some fruit and feel content.

Bed was very comfortable, nice pillows too. Room was clean and very comfortable. Towels were nice and fluffy. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Parking lot is well lit.Would definitely stay again.

Very nice place!! The building is only a few years old. The rooms were awesome and clean! It has a nice indoor swimming pool, outdoor lounge area with fireplace and outdoor basketball court. On top of all that it had a great breakfast. Best one I've eaten at in a Hotel.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel, staff, manager, amenities, and everything else that they have to offer their patrons. I have never stayed in a “hotel, or residence” like this before. I will be staying with them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great place to stay in a “air bnb style” residence. I know this makes no sense to most people now, but it will once you have stayed here.
