Baymont by Wyndham Cedar Rapids

Rented the Jacuzzi Suite on a Sunday night. The guy working the front desk was very polite and friendly. He worked quickly to find an available room for me and my guest. The check-in went smooth. The room was clean and ready for guests. The room was spacious. It had a large king size bed, an oversized reclining sofa chair, the usual stuff like a TV, mini fridge, microwave and coffeepot. The bathroom was nice. Didn't use it lol. The Jacuzzi was very nice. It was extra large and the jets felt great. The room also had large horizontal mirrors around the Jacuzzi which made things interesting. The hotel does not have a pool or hot tub. I did see a business center and I believe a small gym. It also has an ice machine and 2 vending machines. They have a small area for continental breakfast in the mornings. Check-out was fast and easy as well. Over all I believe this place is worth staying at if you don't care about not having a pool. the price I paid for a king Jacuzzi suite was cheaper then what I've paid next door for 1 room with 2 double beds.

This was a surprisingly good deal. Breakfast was actually really good and they even had croissant witches and other breakfast sandwiches as well as regular hot and cold items you would expect but took it a step farther. The rooms were clean and quiet and did not smell like they were covering anything up it was a really nice clean enjoyable stay.

We were highly satisfied with this hotel. Great service for reasonable price. We were surprised by nice breakfast.

Spent three weeks there with my dog laundry shower private room sometimes food help me get up and get help and got out fast I would recommend this place

Excellent cost for value. Clean, but could use a deep cleaning. Shower is hot and towels and sheets clean. Room and parking were secure. The breakfast is suspect.

I wasn't expecting a lot but I was pleasantly surprised with a clean quiet room and a great breakfast with very good coffee!

Very clean room and amazing customer service. Location was perfect for our needs. Manager is extremely friendly and very prompt with anything we were in need of. We will definitely be staying again.

The rooms were okay. The only reason I am giving them a 5 star review is due to the front desk manager! He was FANTASTIC! We sadly didn’t catch him name but he made the stay great was very helpful and friendly

Got the room at a cheap price, and it and the hotel are definitely good for that price. It's not the sort of hotel that's super luxurious and has stuff to do inside (eg, no swimming pool or bar or anything like that), but if you just need a place to stay that's comfortable and has basic amenities, then this is your place! We got a room with a single queen size bed and a bathroom, and the place was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The staff has been very nice and pleasant, and they took care of our questions and requests without a problem. The room itself comes with free cable and internet, and they do offer free breakfast every morning. The location is also very convenient, it's within walking distance of a convenience store and McDonald's, and it's a mere few minutes away from the interstate.

The man working the desk at check-in (Mark) was so friendly and helpful. Our room is clean, fully stocked with coffee, towels, etc... would definitely stay here again when I'm in the area!

I have stayed multiple times over the last 6 months. Here is what I have found (this may be a bit long but I do property assessments for commercial businesses as a living so I am pretty thorough in my reviews of hotels and I do my best to be absolutely accurate and honest). They have been doing some renovations over the past several months and it has paid off. Their customer service has been consistently excellent. I was granted the Diamond upgrade to the room of my choice when it was available (generally a Jacuzzi room), and when not available, was given a different suite. If you are not a Diamond member, it is absolutely worth it to pay extra for the upgrade to a Jacuzzi suite. The tub is a generous size and has plenty of hot water and the jets are amazing. The rooms are updated and we'll decorated. They have an excellent desk set up for doing work with comfortable desk chairs and a lamp base that has outlets and some with USB outlets as well. On EVERY visit, I have found the rooms to be impeccably clean and when I mentioned a minor maintenance issue, it was corrected. The toiletries are good quality and include lotion. They provide sufficient amounts of towels based on room occupancy (i.e. if the room can accommodate 4 people, there are enough towels for them all). The beds are comfortable and linens were clean and in good condition. The hotel itself has a nice lobby with a great little sitting area and wall mounted fireplace as well as a business nook where guests can use the computer or print out something like a boarding pass. The breakfast area is also very well done with tables and booths. The breakfast area was sparkling clean and has a very nice, hot breakfast that really sets the bar for this price point. One morning it was sausage, eggs, and hashbrowns for the hot items and another it was biscuits & gravy and cheesy salsa eggs which were delicious and not over cooked. They also have waffles and the usual assortment of cereal and 'grab n go' items such as hard boiled eggs, microwave burritos or sandwiches, yogurts, pastries, bread, and bagels. When I checked in most recently the desk clerk in the evening was Mark who have my room waiting, the heat turned on and my door open. That is superior customer service. The little things really matter. In the morning it was the general manager who checked me out and I saw him shoveling snow, mopping the lobby, and salting the walks. This to me is the sign of a good manager - spending time on the frontlines instead of just in an office in the back someplace. I felt safe, well cared for, and appreciated as a customer. This hotel has my highest recommendation at this price point and definitely rivals other more expensive locations.

Stayed here after the 8/10/20 derecho storm. We live in Jamaica and had to drive 3 hrs for an appt in Iowa city. NOBODY had any rooms available due to the storm last week and many still without power. But the Baymont in Cedar Rapids found a way to work it out and got us a room despite the giant hole in the roof and north side of the building being extensively damaged. The staff were SO accommodating.

Comfortable room and friendly staff. Several restaurants within walking distance.
