Birmingham Oddities

I’ve been wanting to go here for some time and I finally got to on Saturday. Such a creepy vibe here, but it’s definitely what they’re going for. Surprisingly, also some clothing resale booths and local art as well. I found some I’m absolutely obsessed with and I’m going to email the artist about. Such a verity. Old medical and surgical instruments, to cute Halloween mugs, to authentic human skulls, to festival headdresses. Definitely check this place out!

This place is awesome. It's like a museum and an art gallery had a baby and it grew up to be the weird kid in class...and I so mean that in a good way..they should charge admission. The beautiful soul who was tending the shop was amazing, she was friendly and we had a great conversation. Go support local artists, you might find that one conversation piece perfect for your place.

Very unique. LOTS of local art. Wired and whimsical. More of a young adult crowd place with patches, stickers, and nobilities. Some large collector pieces but not as much as expected. Still is a great place to visit and get local band and underground art info.

This is the most unique store you'll ever see. I've been three times and I still haven't seen everything they have. The staff is amazing, as well.

There are a lot of fascinating pieces here. The environment is great, the staff is amazing. It is also a great shop if you want to support local artists. I will definitely be back!

Always find something that peaks my interest when I drop in. As we were paying, we were told about an erotic art show happening later that night and it was a great time. I accidentally overpaid by 10$ and the cashier ran outside to catch me and return it. Always look forward to popping in and seeing what’s new!

Sadly, they closed permanently. I was there on the second to last day and they were emptying the store. They posted on FB that most of their remaining stuff is at Wantfull Things.

Great selection of unique art, oddities, and specimens. Definitely worth a visit to get a one of a kind piece for your home. Some of the local artists who sell art there also work at the shop, and they're knowledgeable about great places around Birmingham and ongoing events in the area.

One of the coolest places you can go in Birmingham. The guy running the store is chill and you can tell he actually cares about supporting local artist. If you are looking for something strange or cool for your home this is the place for you.

Dived into this shop during a rainstorm on our way to the Margaret for drinks. There's a ton of weird, unique stuff in there. Also cool stuff from local artists & artisans. Go check it out. You'll find something you didn't know you needed.

The people who work there are about as top notch as the pieces you can find there. I was looking for some art for my office and this was the perfect place. I scored some cool prints, photos, and stickers. Great place for the biology and art lover. Super cool bugs. Great time all around.
