Domestique Coffee - Satellite (Avondale)

Excellent place to grab a coffee in a chill atmosphere. We grabbed some coffees and chocolate cookies, it was all very good. The place was emptier in the early morning and then got quite busy a couple hours later. Though it’s not super quiet, it’s not loud either, and I found it easy to work in a bunch of things while I was there. Staff were nice and service was prompt. The atmosphere was a bit eclectic which frankly made it feel fresh and fun. Oh, and they have video games!! I’d come back!

Coffee shop in the day and bar after 4. I was there around 3 in the afternoon and it was steady and I was able to work. I would go back with family in the day. They have board games galore. TVs with 80s clips playing, retro video games. Even a photo booth. I saw a pinball in the back.

One of my favorite coffee shops in bham. There’s plenty to do as it’s got free video game stations set up all around and a photo booth. I got a nitro cold brew which was really good and smooth. And the other part of the place is a concert venue!

I went recently and the atmosphere was great but the baristas were very rude. I was very turned away by the customer service. Will not be returning.

Delicious coffee, friendly baristas, fun place to meet up with a friend or work on a laptop. Makes work more fun. Decor is so cool. I notice a new detail every visit. Thanking my lucky stars I get to live walking distance to a great café like this.

As I walked into the coffee shop, the scent of freshly brewed coffee hit my nose. It was a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of the city. As I approached the counter, the barista greeted me with a friendly smile and asked for my order. I asked if I could play the arcade games in the corner, and the barista gave me the go-ahead.

The first thing I noticed about the games was their old-school graphics. The pixels were visible, and the colors were muted, but it was all part of the charm. I was excited to start playing and quickly got lost in the game.

But what made the experience truly special was the atmosphere. The shop was cozy, and the other patrons were friendly, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The sound of the other customers chatting mixed with the electronic sounds of the games, creating a unique and exciting soundscape.

To fully immerse myself in the experience, I ordered a cup of coffee to sip as I played. The bitter flavor of the coffee complemented the sweetness of victory as I triumphed over the game's challenges.

As I played, I felt a sense of camaraderie with the other customers who shared my love of the games. The experience was a welcome break from the chaos of the world outside, and I knew that I would return to the coffee shop for more.

A very cool coffee shop I stopped at while traveling through! They had a bunch of old video game consoles to play which I thought was a super cool idea - I wish more coffee shops would do that! The decor was also amazing as were the drinks themselves!

Great coffee - fun environment (tons of classic and new board games (and video games)

They were wonderful, the atmosphere was very laid back and inviting. Would be a great place to grab a coffee and study or work on a paper (many people were). The employees were stellar, and the service was awesome! A friend of mine has a strange diet due to health reasons and she asked about the drinks and opted for water. After she paid he asked her what she was hoping and looking for concerning drinks so that they could better serve people later. I absolutely love that, and so did she because often she feels judged for things of that sort, or feels like a bother, so it meant a lot. We both got a ham and cheese croissant and had them warmed up, and I had an iced coffee. The bread was amazing and the coffee was where I didn't even need sugar or anything. The drink menu was full of options. But the food menu wasn't, (which I didn't mind because that's not the real goal of a coffee shop) however, we went for a early lunch so I don't know about later.

If you don't know, they have board games and old video games lining the walls that you can challenge a friend to while you enjoy your coffee. It was really nice because it kept us engaged and off our phones. They had music playing that was just loud enough that it feels like unless you try, you are in your own space with your group or self and it's really nice. I couldn't hear anyone's video games or anything until I wanted to play myself.

Super interesting place. Board games galore, new and old, as well as old school classics of video games. Coffee is unique, golden milk latte was great, and the decor is so cool. Great trip down memory lane for us 90s babies!

My friend and I stumbled across Domestique on an early morning coffee run. As two experienced coffee drinkers (and a long time barista myself) we were thoroughly impressed. Probably the best cup of drip we’ve had in a long time! Also the latte was great. Highly recommend!! Shoutout to the barista with the sailboat shirt for some great coffee

Great local coffee and daily delivered pastries from nearby bakery. The atmosphere here is almost as good as the drinks and bites.
