Caveat Coffee

This coffee shop is THE CUTEST, and on top of that they have the best coffee and pastries. I’ve always loved going here while shopping around Homewood and the back patio is super cute. I only recently discovered that there is a whole other seating area downstairs!! My best friend threw a bridal shower for me at Caveat a few weekends ago and it was the perfect venue. Good amounts of seating and after hours there was enough parking! So well decorated too. Can’t say enough good things!

We love this place so much! Their oat milk lattes are the best and I love the atmosphere and the drive thru. Just don’t get the seasonal gingerbread latte (it’s a cup of hot garbage)

Great, quiet atmosphere with surprising amount of seating for a small house (2 floors and ample outdoor seating). Drive through available. Pricing is pretty good for a coffee shop.

This place is extremely cute! It has an awesome chill vibe, and the drinks were great too. The cortado was good with the espresso coming through as understated, but enjoyable. They also have a smooth draft latte that tastes like a dream! It was strange to see a latte come on tap, but definitely something worth trying. Really the only qualm I had was a lack of available seating, but I guess that just means it's popular!

This is my favorite coffee spot in Birmingham. They have great lattes! The draft lattes are my favorite. ☕ The atmosphere is 👌 and the baristas are always so helpful and kind. Highly recommend for studying, meetings, or just a quick pick-me-up.

Cutest local coffee shop! Great and quiet place to work, close to lots of shops. I love getting a coffee and walking around nearby. Gingerbread latte, brown sugar rosemary syrup, and lavender mint syrup are the best. Great atmosphere inside and in the little backyard area as well, and there was even an acoustic guitar performance once. My only complaints are that I wish it stayed open later and the $1.50 up charge for alternative milk is ridiculous.

I’m a coffee lover and especially I like a good quality cappuccino. Every time I travel to new destinations first think I do is to look for coffee places and my eye caught this one on Google Maps so I gave a try.
The coffee shop is cozy and well decorated.
Their cappuccino with oat milk is phenomenal, it has the right temperature and most important is silk as it has to be! Also on my way out of the coffee shop I got the rosemary latte which was absolutely delicious! 10 stars to this coffee shop instead of 5.

Caveat has always had a special place for me. It’s a place where many Samford and UAB students come and study during the day, but I continued to go there and study after I graduated. Great feel here. Just like home ❤

Had a great experience with family in this shop over the holidays. I had a sugar cookie latte that was smooth and tasty. The shop had nice seating areas and the server was nice. We didn't quite understand the ordering process because ordering on the electronic screen didn't bring up all the holiday options so we didn't quite know what to do, but eventually the one worker realized our struggle and took our order. Having an additional worker on a shift would be helpful.

Super chill environment with great coffee. Friendly staff and lots of seating! Free wifi for guests.

The most delicious latte with macadamia nut milk! Great patio and beautiful decor inside. Will be back!

This place rules. I will tell you why:
1. The kids working here are sweet and kind.
2. They have a drive-thru.
3. Unlike a lot of other coffee shops around town, they are OPEN.

Friendly and swift service. Nice ambiance inside. The "draft latte" cold drink was a very tasty espresso cold coffee served from a draft.

Love the atmosphere! Upper and lower floors, and outdoor porch, a soft chairs in the back yard. Lots of seating and the WiFi was good. Parking is limited, but other than that 5/5!

My wife and I came here for the first time on Sunday morning. The atmosphere is nice and relaxing. The staff was kind. I got the mocha latte—one of the best I’ve had in Birmingham. My wife got the iced chai tea latte, and she loved it. There’s plenty of seating inside and out back. We will definitely be coming back.

You won’t find a better atmosphere around when it comes to a coffee shop. The cold brew is quality, the espresso is on point, and the draft latte is definitely something you’ll drive across town for. Every single worker there is incredibly friendly, and more than willing to help if you have any questions about the menu. It’s just consistently a great experience.

My favorite coffee shop in B’ham! Love the draft lattes and the simple tablet-based ordering system. Beautiful shop and friendly atmosphere. Welcoming spaces inside and outside. :) also—super cool that they have a drive through!

One of my favorite coffee shops in the area. Everything that I have had (coffee wise) has been over the moon in taste and quality. They have a limited number of espresso options which is fine noting that their espresso is excellent. It is strong with limited bitterness. It is one of the few coffee shops where I can order a shot of espresso and be satisfied. My favorite drinks are the draft vanilla latte and the macchiato. 10/10 definitely recommend. From the times I have been they do not have any food besides pastries from local places or granola bars, which honestly is fine, but new additions would be cool. The atmosphere is perfect for catching up with friends or dedicating study time. Did I mention the aesthetic is perfect?
