Santos Coffee & Bar Uptown

Feeling a bit under the weather, so I decided to grab a hot tea. It was ok, based on the selection available. Pretty cool atmosphere. Would revisit to sit in next time I’m in town. First time in, and maybe it was silly to ask an associate what was next door. She replied “I don’t know.” —I say that too when I get tired of people asking me simple questions. Silly me, considering I have a phone. The Westin hotel sits next door. Got it!

The coffee is an unexpected treat! Not your usual cup of joe. The strawberry crepes were just the right amount of sweet.

Stopped in for a light breakfast while at a conference. Ordered a bagel sandwich and a cafe mocha. The sandwich was perfectly toasted and warm with a light, fresh scrambled egg & fresh sausage. Not heavy, just perfect. Without a doubt, they served the best cafe mocha I have had! I commented on it and was told it's the dark chocolate they use. It was so good, I ordered a second one to go along with one of their blueberry muffins. Cool vibe in the space and super-friendly staff. Great way to start the day! Plus, they have beer and wine all day!

First time here and we love it! It's a nice change from Starbucks. Just tried the harvest smoothie it's delicious!! (Lemongrass, spinach, kale, cucumber, kiwi, Apple). My daughter got a blueberry muffin and she gave it two thumbs up! People are really nice here and the atmosphere is pretty chill.

Love this coffee bar!! While I'm in town for work, this is my go-to! The coffee is amazing. Be sure to check out their local specials. The food is incredible as well. They make it fresh on site. None of the pre packaged stuff. As well as fresh backed muffins too. The staff is friendly and fantastic. The coffee bar is spacious, clean and has a great vibe with big windows as well. Can't recommend Santos enough when in Birmingham and the Up town area.

Great coffee and good service. If you can snag a spot on the couch or chairs over in the corner it’s a very comfortable place to sit. Otherwise you have to sit on wooden or plastic chairs. Not a big deal for most people, but I like a soft place to sit. Limited menu but the items they have are delicious! I will definitely go again when I’m back in Uptown.

This is an amazing and zen place. Probably one of my favorite places in Birmingturkey. The owners are down to earth, friendly, ridiculously talented baristas who truly care about the art of artisinal café, and incredibly knowledgeable about dinosaurs and their chicken descendants. I wish I could move in and be their family forever.

I was in town for work and tried the mango smoothie for breakfast and the spicy and sweet chicken sandwich for lunch. They were both delicious. Definitely a chill relaxing spot. I will certainly return the next time I am in town.

Great service from Addyson and Bradon the drip coffee was fresh and delicious. The atmosphere was warm and just like home. My husband and I enjoyed and recommend to all😊😊☕

Nice little coffee shop adjacent to the Westin hotel. The coffee is great and the service is equally so. It's on the higher end of pricing but what you would expect in an entertainment district.

Super friendly staff, amazing latte, good breakfast selection, comfortable seating with free Wifi and power outlets. Love this place, looking forward to next visit.

Cute little cafe on the corner! Free easy parking just down the road. Not sure why everyone is getting less coffee for the size they order but I ordered a small latte - small latte cup filled to the top as expected! Their pastries looked good, will have to try next time!

My friend and I are doing a tour of all the coffee places in Birmingham and this was our first, it didn’t disappoint! The coffee was quite smooth and mellow while still being flavorful, but by far the highlight was the staff. They were all super nice and conversational which made the vibe cozy instead of pretentious. Great place to sit and chat!

I worked out of this shop for two days and during that time, I tried:
1. Hot chocolate-- First off, let me say, they used milk in the hot chocolate. This may seem like a small detail, but a disturbing number of coffee shops use water in their hot chocolate and that is not okay. Not Santos. Santos put milk in the hot chocolate like they care. I appreciate that. 10/10. Would order again.
2. Cold brew--The cold brew was good and would be great if you are a fast drinker, but it came in one of those clear cups that have no insulation, so if you are like me and leisurely sipping for an hour or so, the ice will melt and the cup will sweat. Not my favorite. 4/10.
3. Cafe Nutella-- This was by far my favorite. I absolutely loved it. Normally, I would have tried more items, but I ended up just getting this drink again because it was that good. 10/10. Would order again.

I'm in love with Addyson. I get coffee here every time I'm uptown because she's amazing. Coffee is fan-freakin tastic. Get a Crossiant!

This place is a whole vibe! I stopped here on a beautiful Sunday while out on the bike. Weather was 51F, but the best part was a warm Nutella latte and the free samples of delicious baked goods ! Definitely, adding this to my list of places to stop and have a cup of coffee

I am visiting Birmingham and Santos Coffee Uptown is just down from my hotel. Have been here multiple times over the past few days and have always had an amazing experience. The food is wonderful (crepes for the win!) and the coffee is delicious. But beyond that, the staff is absolutely exceptional. No matter how busy or slow, you are welcomed warmly and they work to make sure you have the best experience possible. Visit them when in town…you will be so glad you did!

In Birmingham for a conference. Been to Santos a couple of times. Really enjoyed the espresso. One of my favorites. The sparkling water they serve with it is outstanding. The pastry selection is wonderful too.

Caledonia and Addyson were very nice in their service. Wish I could come back, but leaving town.

My family and I are staying at the Westin. We have been to Santos the last two days and they have been nothing short of amazing. The food was delicious and well prepared, and the drinks are equally delicious. I kept ordering the Basil Lavender Latte Iced... Holy smokes, it's so good I keep buying extras. They were busy and only had two people on staff but still made you feel heard and were communicative. They worked very well under pressure. Next time I'm in town I'll definitely be back.

I didn’t get to try any of the food, however the coffee was amazing!! The customer service is out of this world! We went in twice and both times the people working there were really sweet and welcoming! I HIGHLY recommend this place!
