West Hill Cemetery

While visiting my father's resting place, I took the time to stand 30 plus flags that had fallen in the veterans section.

Visited old Grayson County ancestors and was glad to find the cemetery so well kept. Thanks to those who keep the grounds up. Lots of local history with the Vaden Family.

I am very proud of my home town cemetery. That may sound strange to say, but it is also said that if you want to get to know the heart of a town, go walk through the lanes of its cemetery. Ours is well organized, beautifully kempt, and full of gorgeous statues and memorials of all ages, reflecting great familial love through the generations. It is full of the sounds of nature and offers a spirit of peace to anyone astute to their surroundings. Most of two generations of my family are there resting in the beautiful natural environs. I have spent many reflective moments there with them through the seasons.

I give it 5 stars because this is where my Mom, Grandpa, oldest brother, 3 cousins, and several close friends are resting in peace. The staff always keep the cemetary clean, and during times when I haven't been able to, the staff place flowers through out the graveyard.

A great friend rest in peace there clean cemetery

So i bought a plot for my dad to be buried with his family, and they moved him into a group of mixed people away from his family. I was never informed of this until my friend went out after we buried him to put flowers and she alerted me that he was not in the plot i purchased! So, if my friend wouldnt have went out there after the service was over, i would have been talking to nothing or to somebody else thinking it was my father?!?! They have my info in the computer, my question is, why did nobody call me about this?
