El Charro Mexican restaurant bar and grill Clifton Texas

The food was amazing and fresh. The rice was good and the meat was seasoned and cooked to perfection. We all ordered something different and ate almost all of it. Huge portions and good prices. We will be coming back!

Best Mexican food in Clifton. The remodel created an excellent atmosphere. I wish more businesses in town would reinvest in modernizing their look and feel.

I'm from Louisiana so keep that in mind as I review. This is the only Mexican restaurant I've been to in Texas but this is EASILY hands down by far the best Mexican food I've ever had. If this is what all Mexican restaurants are like in Texas than louisiana is severely* missing out. The steak, sausage, the RICE the salsa just every part of the meal was incredible. Margaritas were good and strong. The place itself was a bit warm but other than that it's a great place.

The food was great, service was great and you really should try the mango margarita with tajin and chamoy.

The food was ok.....I have had better. Hot sauce not to bad....the queso with meat....they put way to much meat in it. Kinda bland food...not alot of flavor.

Five stars for the tortilla soup! It is excellent every time I get it - full of fresh ingredients and so good!

Talk about some great food that doesnt destroy your budget. I stopped in to check this place out and was very pleased with the outcome. When the waitress brought out my food, I was so pleased to be able to sit there and enjoy the look and aroma of the food I was about to enjoy. And enjoy I did, completely. Great food, good pricing and excellent service. It doesn't get much better tha "El Charro".

The food may not have the best visual appeal, but the taste is splendid! The biscuits are soft and airy, probably the best I’ve tasted, and the chicken steak I ordered was just the right amount of crisp. The food was flavorful and I was not disappointed.

Great stop in Clifton. I had the Al Pastor tacos and there was enough to serve two. Will definitely be back.

Kid behind me was rocking my both alot. My sisters taco salad was all meat very greasy,no lettuce,or tomatoes. Queso was only velveta no Rotella.

Excellent food! Charro beans were great. 4 mini tacos legit with homemade corn tortillas. Generous portions for $. Good service. Definitely recommend if you're passing through the area.

We got some breakfast tacos and barbacoa. We also came back later and ordered some chips and queso and bean and cheese tacos for the kids. The queso is outstanding!

We made our first visit to El Charro last night. We really enjoyed our meals! Marlen was our waitress, but several employees checked on us throughout the meal. Drinks were good and live guacamole was such a treat. It was clean and food was served in a timely manner. We will definitely be repeat customers!

I came in as part of an FFA group that was in the area for LDE competitions. We were a group of almost flirty but we were all seated and helped promptly and the orders came out with great time considering the volume the kitchen was dealing with. The food was certainly nothing to scoff at. The servers were very kind, as well as patient with the more rambunctious behavior of a group of three dozen high schoolers.
