Baymont by Wyndham Cookeville

A good place to stay for what you pay! That being said, the rooms are clean, the breakfast is good considering the hotel price point, and the beds are decent and clean. It is an older hotel and you can't really hold that against it. Being on the ground floor our room didn't have carpet, which was weird, but again, can't complain, it's cheap and an old building. The workers are very nice and helpful.

For the price, you can not beat it. The non-smoking room was very clean and had no smoker residue. The free breakfast was good considering the room cost. The staff were pleasant. We will stay there again!

Honestly, if you want a fancy hotel, this isn't it. However, if you want to be COMFORTABLE at a reasonable price... This is it! We were traveling with my almost 80 year old mother. So, we rented a suite for 3 adults and 2 teenage boys. This room had 3 queen beds... Yes, 3 beds, not an uncomfortable pull out couch. The beds are very tall, and my mother had a bit of trouble getting in and out at first, but she worked it out. The beds were amazing and so were the pillows. I'm so used to air conditioners not working well that I actually got cold because we set it lower than we thought we'd need (to compensate). I've never gotten cold in a hotel room before. Also, there was a sink in the room outside of the bathroom. This was great, because you had access to water while the bathroom was occupied (and if you've traveled with 2 teenaged boys, you know it's occupied a lot). The breakfast was a continental breakfast, but there was variety and we got enough to eat. I will stay there again.

I'll be honest, I hadn't heard good reviews from this place in the past. But my experience has been extremely professional, helpful, and fun! I had an exceptional time there. The pool was clean. We were able to get a pavilion there for a very good rate for the entire day. My baby had his birthday party there. The lobby, parking lot, main areas and perimeter of the building were very clean, well kept and the view at the hill is amazing even though there's not much to see besides trees. Wonderful spot at sunset. The day staff lady (manager i think? Dont remember her name) very professional and friendly AND Jordan was so attentive, charming, helpful and talented at handling a full lobby of people and both managed to attend to us without an extended wait time. We were in & out, questions answered, help received and overall just very pleased. Couldnt have had a better experience anywhere else in town. Literally can't say enough good things about this place!!

TL;DR booked a birthday party here at the pool & reserved pavilion! Very clean. Fantastic time! Very affordable! Staff went above and beyond!

They have a huge pool. I loved my room. Beds were comfy. I had a patio facing the pool. I slept past breakfast. The price was very reasonable. I will definitely stay here again.

Whoever works nights, with long fingernails, despite other reviews is extremely courteous in our experience. Although we were unhappy about no mention of a pet policy and having to pay for 9 week old puppies to spend the night (not our service dogs) - it’s policy and she’s just doing her job! She came to me with kindness and it was reciprocated.
The room was HUGE, clean bedding, it’s an older hotel so wear and tear is expected. We’re about half way through a 20 hour trip visiting home from the base we’re stationed at (we were given a military discount THANK YOU) so I can’t speak on much else. We were happy to find it and will be back.

The rooms are MASSIVE. The building is a little run down and some of the tiles on the stairs are broken. They provide breakfast sandwiches and bottled juice, but they run out quickly. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, i’ll definitely be staying here again!

PROS: Very nice employees at this hotel. Bed is super comfy. The breakfast has sausage/cheese biscuits and breakfast pastries. Room itself was very nice. Did not hear neighbors so I was able to sleep undisturbed.

CONS: My bathroom sink could not drain. I reported it upon checking out and I am sure it will get addressed as the employee showed attention and concern about the issue.

Overall…..really nice hotel for a low price of $64

Very quiet place on hill. Complimentary breakfast. Mexican restaurant was awesome next door.

Conveniently located off i-40 with lovely mountain views. Amazing friendly staff! They took great care of us and were warm and friendly. I enjoyed having a door to a balcony. Some fixtures were a bit outdated but it didn't take away from the hotel. Big parking lot with plenty of parking. Breakfast was provided, yummy frozen breakfast sandwiches, coffee, tea, variety of cereal and muffins. Sunrise views are beautiful! Kudos to Jennifer, Nicole and the other lady working!

Will give it to the saft they went above and beyond for me. I had booked a different hotel prior to taken this trip and well they over booked my reservation at the other hotel. I had been driving over 13hrs and was ready for bed I ended up booking this place they just couldn't get me in a room around 8am check in was at 3pm. I had a dog with me as well. They did everything they could to get me in asap. Was able to get in early. Lady up at the front desk truly couldn't thank her enough!!

Had a very nice stay at the Baymont. Everything was nice and clean, the bed was very comfortable and even the pillows were good, even though I took my own. I was very pleased with everything, especially with it being a moderately priced motel. The staff was helpful and friendly and Jenifer was a sweetheart to deal with. When in the area again, I would not hesitate to stay there. My only slight disappointment was the very nice, big pool had just been sealed and repainted and was not open yet.

I actually really like the stay. It's a little rough around the edges but very cozy. The staff was nothing but great and everyone visiting seemed very cool.

Heather at the front desk was nothing short of completely amazing. My room and two friends room were very large a d spacious, pets were free and welcome including cats. A lovely gazebo with a salt water swimming pool. All the rooms have individual patio with seating and a sack breakfast was provided. Fresh hot coffee and tea as well. Don't walk, run and ask for Heather she will take great care of you.

Stayed here the weekend we got married. The rooms are clean but the hotel has some cosmetic issues and needs updating. The breakfast offered isn't that great. It's more quick grab n' go

Room was very clean and nicely put together. Friendly staff. Breakfast was a nice selection. Typically I'm used to paying $$$ For what we got for a $97 AFTER tax. But the $100 deposit was new. Still, I would stay here again. Also, although the road was loud (from the balcony) it was a pretty view.

Absolutely beautiful and serene. It was an older motel but it didn't feel or look like it . The room we had was decorated so nicely the beds were so comfortable... it was truly a nice surprise with it being so quite and it felt as if a we were million miles away from other folks. The motel staff were very friendly and helpful... when I go on vacation, that will be where I go. The table lamps have places to plug in and charge your electrical devices. We had a balcony that was private to us. We had a nice breakfast from their breakfast bar and one of their employees offered and actually helped me carry breakfast to my room as I had difficulty carrying it by myself. It really could not have been any nicer with one exception. If they had a recliner chair in the room for a handicapped or elderly person to sleep in that would make the stay at that Baymont Inn just perfect... thank you Baymont in Cookeville, Tn
