Hobo's Hobbies Trains & Planes

What a great store. Crossville is fortunate to have this hidden gem. Great staff and a model makers dream that this is right here. I particularly loved the train supply. There is a good selection of plastic models, paints and tools. The train selection is good as well. Cars, engines, track, buildings and all the stuff needed to make a scenic layout like trees, grass, dirt.

Super helpful staff and also some awesome sweet treats! Great selection, my son will be back for more models.

Just shopped at Hobo’s Hobbies. This place is great. Not a huge selection of model train stuff, but enough to get started. Prices are reasonable and the owners are great. They also have sweets, fabric and more.

I showed up on a Wednesday, a day they're closed. Google had their hours wrong. I drove 2 hours to check this place out. I met Kevin's wife. She opened the store just for me. There's plenty of selections as well as a candy shop inside. These folks are going through a tough time. I will definitely make this 2hr one way drive again!!

What an awesome store, the best in the Upper Cumberland! We drove from Baxter to Crossville just to come visit this store. He has an huge variety of inventory for every hobby. Kevin and his wife are great people and very knowledgeable. Can’t wait to visit again!

Although it is two businesses in the same place, it's a great place. While I spoke to the owner about an issue with one of my aircraft, (my wife was busy with his wife who is a supplier of baking supplies and different types of lace, while making wonderful chocolates there also.) He was friendly and helpful. There is a wide variety of items but of course no one can stock everything. Aircraft are becoming more of the focus here but still a impressive array of train 🚆 items. Don't forget static models either. He's got a few very cool 😎 older muscle cars too. If he doesn't have it he can get it. Bring the wife she won't ask if your done yet.

Purchased a new ho scale engine from here and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. The staff is super friendly, and informative. I will be stopping in again next time I'm in town for sure.

Stopped at the hobby shop to browse. The owner is very interested in your hobbies. My husband came home with a new plane!

They were super helpful in finding all the parts that I needed for my son's model!

Minimal train products but good selection and prices. Many other hobby opportunities also available.
