I took my daughter shopping here for the first time and we absolutely loved this store. Very friendly gentleman and assisted us with everything. We will definitely be shopping here more often.

The man was very nice at the counter and was very courteous! The prices are great and the clothes are trendy, I will definitely be back!

You have to check them out! The cutest clothing for teens and younger women. And the prices you cannot beat! Super trendy, and helping a local owner.

Everything is final sale, no returns. The changing room was "down" so didnt get to try on clothes. Nice variety of clothes, more so body con dresses and formal dress wear though.

The 1st time I went to this store one of the Asian ladies was working. She was nice and helpful. She let me try on the dresses but wouldn’t let my mom or my 5 year old son in the dressing room area. I thought that was weird but no big deal. I bought a couple dresses and actually love them.
Fast forward to yesterday about 2 years later and I encountered the man. I had seen stories on Facebook about him so I was prepared. Let me tell you everything you have heard about him is true. He is the worst. Told me “no try on” and I said ok I will go next door try it on and bring it back if it doesn’t fit. He said “store credit or exchange only”. I told him that was ridiculous and he could keep his dress. He waited until I was almost out of the store to start talking loud but I couldn’t understand him. I have read all these comments and can not believe this man is still in business.

If only I could give ZERO stars… WORST SERVICE EVER. I bought a shirt and was told I couldn’t try it on (which I completely understand). Went home to try it on and saw there was a stain inside of the shirt. Returned the next day to exchange the shirt for a clean one. He accused me of purposely staining the shirt and that their merchandise always comes in good and clean condition. Then, he further added he’s seen me and my sister before trying to get free clothes (which is a lie because I usually go shopping alone or with my husband). Throughout this entire exchange, he’s throwing around insults and calling me a liar.

So, he proceeded to call the police and I told him to because I was not in the wrong. A few minutes later, SIX mall security people show up. We explain the situation and decided to file a complaint against the store. The two officers who worked with me were polite and even told me they wish every year for that store to not re-new their lease. Also, the store normally receives complaints. Anyway, save yourself the energy and time and DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY BUSINESS.

let me tell you awful experience. The man who works there was openly taking pictures of me and my friend a bunch of pictures. we did not show any suspicious activity or any type of sign that we were stealing. I wanted to try on a shirt so I took off my jacket and was trying to put it on over top of my other shirt. He went up to us rudely and said don’t try it on , on the floor.most stores you can do this, so I said sorry is there a fitting room. He said no. And kept following us around and continued to take pictures. We left immediately. As someone who works in retail this is no way is this professional at all. I do not understand how that man works there still.

This is the worst store i have ever shop. I do not recommend it to anyone. Do NOT shop here! This Asian man is so rude and he don’t let you return anything and the worst thing he would take a picture of you and the clothes you are returning. This man needs to be evicted from the mall!!!!! And if you want to try something on he would always say “The fitting room is CLOSED” he doesn’t like people try clothes on and he would stare at you while you shop! And if you don’t have a receipt he not even let you exchange the item. This is the most horrible experience I ever have! I will NEVER come back to this store never again! What a bad reputation this man give to the Asian people! Hope this man don’t make money at his store he doesn’t deserve it!

My boyfriend and I went to this store last night to purchase a dress for New Years Eve. We were told the dressing room was closed and to come back the next day. We decided to travel 30 minutes again to shop for a dress. When we entered the store I ask if the fitting room was open and he said to come back at 2:30. We came back at 2:30, I was able to try on a couple dresses. The man refused to get down the color I wanted on one because he stated I could just try on the one in my hand. He stared at me as if I was to big for the clothes there and I’m a size 4. We were followed the entire time and watched as if we were going to steal something. After about 5 dresses which I could tell were cheaply made I told my boyfriend we would just leave. The old man in the store followed us all the way to the door mumbling something and told us to get out for no reason. My boyfriend ask him to repeat what he said and he started yelling. This has to be my worst shopping experience. These people are so rude and I felt as if he was being a little racist towards us. I would not recommend buying anything from this store. Worst customer service ever!

I just called the Hickory Police Department and made a formal complaint against the store owner. He was very aggressive and rude towards me after I asked him about the dressing room. He yelled at me, put his hand in my face, and told me to leave the store meanwhile I never raised my voice to him once. If you are a young female like I am please do not go into this store. If you are a mother and you have teenage daughters, please do not allow them to shop here.

Not only is the man there very rude, the woman is also. Went to try on dresses from homecoming, and she just glared at me and my mom the entire time we were shopping. When I went to try them on, she got right up in our faces and told us if we don’t buy one we can’t try them on. We just put everything back and left, but that was extremely unprofessional. If you run a shop, especially in the mall, or anywhere, know what your doing and how to interact with customers.

I went in to ask about a purse I saw in the window of their displays and really liked. The man working—who I’ve learned through reading all of these reviews is somehow the manager—simply stared at me coldly after I smiled and greeted him. He acted as if he didn’t want me in the store, so I just left. Don’t think I’ll be returning. :/

The ABSOLUTE WORST customer service experience I have ever had. Me and two of my friends were shopping for homecoming dresses, so we were obviously attracted to the cute displays at this store. We walk in and shop around for a good 10 minutes or so, make about three selections a piece, all while the “manager” (the middle-aged Asian man described in the other reviews) stares us down. After we start looking around for a fitting room, he storms over to us, informs us that the dressing room is closed (with a very snappy tone) and snatches the dresses out of all our hands and walks off. Why on earth would you allow someone to shop for that long without telling them that?? Or take something out of someone’s hands without considering the fact they might buy it without trying it on? This man is detrimental to Modelline’s image and sales. I WILL be filing a complaint with corporate.
