Anything less than 5 stars would be unjust! The cupcakes are on target. Vanilla or chocolate base. The cupcake is light, fluffy, soft and moist. Pick a flavor of frosting -- you can't go wrong. At first, I thought the frosting would be overly sweet and somewhat oily....I was severely wrong. The frosting, although dense, is perfectly sweet. It's sweet enough to satisfy that "sweet tooth" but not too much that you have to scrape it off. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, especially explaining the different cupcakes and flavors. These cupcakes are legit 💥

The ladies over at SmallCakes did an amazing job working on brining our ideas to light! It matched our theme perfectly with colors and all!!!! We did a marble cake and strawberry buttercream icing and it was delicious! I highly recommend for you to get you cake designed through them! I will be coming back for future birthdays and for my graduation cake from App State! Thank you again for getting this cake done for our sons birthday!

This place has the best Wedding Cake cupcakes I’ve ever had. We drove over an hour today just to get these beauties. The establishment is always so clean and neat, the staff is always nice, and all the desserts are labeled so you know exactly what you’re getting. We tried the icecream today as well and highly recommend!!!

Had the most amazing experience! Super easy to ask for a quote. Reasonable pricing especially for the phenomenal detail work on the cake we ordered. I absolutely loved it. Fresh and gorgeous. Couldn't ask for better. Highly recommend! Just go in for a regular cupcake or cookie or try the macarons. So flaky and good.

I used Smallcakes Hickory to make cakes for my cousins gender reveal and baby shower. Both cakes were beautiful and delicious. The ladies I spoke to at Smallcakes we very friendly and they were able to make the cakes exactly like the pictures I showed them!

We were craving some ice cream and decided to try this place out! We showed up an hour after closing without realizing it but the owner was still there and said she would still serve us! As if that wasn’t enough, they had some cupcakes leftover from the day that they offered us for free. The ice cream was extremely creamy! Highly recommend. The cupcakes were also really moist. 10/10!! Love supporting businesses like this. We will be back!

We got the chocolate cupcake and red, white and blue cupcakes. Both were very good and moist. We also bought pupcakes for our boy Leroy, moments after this photo was taken he demolished his peanut butter pupcake. Thank you for your business 😊

They did a blippi cake for us that was SPOT ON and my son absolutely loved it. The cake was amazing as well in flavor. It was to the T. Even set a pick up date, set up a quote before we agreed and everything. It went great. They also have these cool Cake Push Pops.

Had a stellar experience with Small cakes Hickory. I needed a birthday cake on fairly short notice and their team was able to fit my custom order in and provided a beautiful and delicious cake for our party. Very impressed with the quality and taste of the cake and great customer service!

Not ashamed to admit I have tried MANY of the cupcake flavors (and the ice cream too ;) and I am still surprised every time at how YUMMY they are!! These are THE BEST cupcakes matched only by the warm service and friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend!!

The decorator made my cake even better than I had pictured! She even provided me a sketch of the cake the week of the pickup date. The result was exactly like the sketch, just brought to life! It was perfect. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. P.S. it was also delicious!

Very delicious, best cupcakes and ice cream in the hickory area.

We tried a few different flavors recently and they are amazing. The cake texture is perfect, not too dense, not too spongy, and they have the perfect amount of frosting. My favorite was the Pink Chocolate. We will definitely be back.
