Absolutely outstanding stay! From the moment we walked in, Nick at the front desk greeted us with a friendly and welcoming smile that set the tone for our entire visit. His exceptional hospitality made us feel right at home.

The room was fantastic, with incredibly comfortable beds that ensured a great night's sleep. The property itself exudes historic charm, adding a unique and delightful atmosphere to our stay. The hotel's location is perfect, with many wonderful restaurants just a short walk away, making dining options both convenient and diverse.

We couldn't have asked for a better experience. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a wonderful stay!

Our stay was amazing. The front desk gal was SUPER sweet and helped out a ton w suggestions and ideas for things to do. The GM (Mark) couldn’t have been more positive or awesome.. The room was perfect, the bathroom was beautiful and the staff was warm and inviting. A+

New management has DEFINITELY changed this hotel for the better - it was night and day different than the last time we were there - I’m glad I gave it another try!! You should do the same!! A+

This is an older, historic hotel that feels a bit European in it's layout. I really enjoyed my stay. Staff was very friendly. The toilet has a bidet and heated toilet seat. Talk about luxury!

Linens are soft and the room was very clean.

Breakfast is complimentary and made from scratch. Parking is $9 per day and the surface lot is directly across the street.

The floors and stairs do creak so I'd try for a top level room if possible. Also using a white noise app on your phone at night helps.

There is a restaurant located in the first floor that has good food and a bar.

While they do not have a gym or pool, they offer two free complimentary passes to the recreation center that is just a short walk or drive (and the facility is impressive!).

Had a quick breakfast this morning in the newly opened restaurant! The room is amazing the coffee was perfect and the stack of pancakes were perfect! Mark and his staff were so hospitable and made us feel welcomed. We're looking forward to returning soon. The place is beautiful!!

Seven Gables Inn needs to be thanked for playing a part in what was one of my favorite trips I've taken. Rather than buying a bunch of gifts for my 8 year old son's birthday, I decided to take him to Stl to stay at Seven Gables and go to the Science Center. The trip was a massive success and our stay at Seven Gables was as well. Lil G absolutely loved the room and how special the staff made him feel. The staff upgraded our room after hearing why we were visiting and I'll be grateful forever because of it. See the pics of our room and Lil G enjoying every square inch of it. Thanks again!!!

Beautiful old fashion hotel. Very friendly staff, from the front desk, breakfast attended, housekeeping and bartenders everyone was very kind and went out of their way to make sure I had a great stay. Highly recommend!

This is a quaint hotel in downtown Clayton! It is not impressive from street view, but behind the walls is a well-appointed hotel with recent upgrades.

The hallways on the upper floors are more of a labyrinth—but that just adds to the charm of this place.

Staff is friendly and attentive and treats you like family.

Rooms are adequate and cozy, but well appointed and seem recently upgraded. The best part of this hotel is that the toilets have HEATED TOILET SEATS! We were there during a bit of a cold spell and it was a treat!

The lounge is comfortable and offers drinks and a full menu.

I’d recommend this place to anyone who’s making a stop in the St. Louis area!

This is long overdue, but my family had an awesome experience at Seven for my son and his now wife's rehearsal dinner in September 2023. Kelly and the staff were all so helpful with any request. From the appetizers to the dessert, the food was all delicious. We were able to have the event in the courtyard, which made it even more special. Highly recommend for your special event.

What an amazing stay! Wyatt and Savana by far were the best part of my stay here. Very nice king room - most notably was the shower room and wonderful bed. The only small thing during my stay was there being no cups for coffee in the morning (but they were available around the way, so it wasn’t the end of the world). Highly recommend this as a quaint place to stay in the center of an arguably weird small town. Will definitely be staying here again on my next visit.

We recently had our wedding at Seven Gables Inn, and we were immensely pleased with everything. Kelley was a great coordinator and was flexible in our wedding planning up to the final minute. The whole stuff was courteous, professional, and hard working in ensuring we and our guests had a great time. Every detail was attended to, and they were happy to accommodate specifics we wanted. The venue was phenomenal, with the courtyard being the perfect space for our ceremony. Our out of town guests loved the rooms and convenient location. Thanks to Kelley, Jason, and the whole staff, we had the wedding we dreamed of!

We hosted a lively and lovely wedding welcome party at the Inn last evening.
From my first communication with Bruce, the sales manager, I knew the party would be perfect. He was generous with his time and always responded quickly and comprehensively to all my communications. This was very important as I was planning the party remotely. We scheduled an in person meeting and tasting session a couple of weeks before the party…..everything was so great! The space planning, bar setup, and food options were all so well done. On the night of the party, I just needed to show up and enjoy the party. I was so impressed with the room and courtyard setup….it exceeded my very high expectations. Bruce was on site the entire evening. The food was plentiful and delicious. The staff was so accommodating. It truly was the perfect beginning to a wedding weekend. Many thank to the amazing team!!

Such a lovely hotel! The staff was kind and helpful. The room was well appointed and very comfortable. The heated toilet seat was a very nice touch. A little loud at night, but honestly worth it (and easily quieted down by closing the bathroom door or unplugging the seat). The neighborhood is nice and quiet, but some nice little shops right around the corner (including a cute little cafe that becomes a wine bar at night!) 100% would stay here again next time I’m in the area!

This place has charm and charisma. Truly a unique hotel I enjoyed every bit of my stay. Staff is very friendly! The room I stayed in was a superior king and WOW it was so nice! Updated rooms, extremely comfortable beds, I think one review mentioned the pillows YES they are heavenly and there is a heated bidet on all the toilets. Wonderful, showers are all rainfall and the water left my hair super soft. Soap smells excellent and the robes are cozy. Restaurant has an excellent happy hour and the FOOD IS AMAZING OMGSH! WOW! Came out hot and delicious. The vibe is ultra romantic. will definitely be returning with the S/O. 5 stars all around.

We really enjoyed out stay at Seven Gables Inn - it was highly recommended by our son's mother in law for their wedding.
The decor and vibe of the property is peaceful and beautiful. Rooms and accommodations are of very nice quality -
The entire staff is wonderful with shout outs to Wyatt, Dylan (and his pup Watson), Jason (GM) and Bruce (Sales Director), Rochelle (Housekeeping Mgr), Walker (Food & Bev Director) Jamie, Tasha and Hanna. Who am I missing?
Parking is across the street but is convenient enough. We enjoyed several meals at the on site restaurant, Seven as well as buffet breakfast and afternoon champagne.
We felt very welcomed and appreciated with any request promptly accommodated.
It is no wonder there are many positive reviews! This team works well together to provide a very positive guest experience.
We will return and hope to see some of our newfound friends for a cocktail. Hello to Katie, Scotch Bob, Fred, Victor and Jan.

I’m staying at Seven Gables as booked through my job. I didn’t know what to expect since it’s a smaller hotel in such a big area, but the service has been absolutely top notch! I’m disabled and the staff has gone above and beyond to make sure I have accommodation and accessibility, and they’re just some of the kindest people you’ll meet. I’d stay here again for the service alone!

Wonderful European style hotel. Excellent breakfast including an omelette station. The best air conditioning in any hotel I’ve ever stayed. Nearly totally sound proof rooms and an extremely comfortable bed. Lots of nice touches and deco. The staff was outstanding! Parking was some what limited but the location in Clayton was near virtually “everything”. My fav pizza place was less than 1/2 miles. I will be back.

This is clearly a boutique hotel with only 32 rooms in a historic registered building. The rooms have been remodeled and are spacious and well appointed.

I had a double queen room and it was large with chairs, dresser, small refrigerator with refreshment area, hanging clothes area, a floor mirror and lamp, a steamer, and a luggage table. While the bathroom was a little smaller than you would expect with such a spacious a room, it was very adequate and included a walk-in shower with dual heads, a vanity top with smart mirror that included a TV, and a Toto washlet bidet seat. The seat warmer on the Toto was nice, especially considering it was 18° in St. Louis, when I arrived and 12° another night during my stay.

This place is a Marriott but it's heart is clearly wrapped in the family-owned sense of pride of personal service. This place seems to be the perfect venue for meetings, reunions, weddings, or other get togethers for groups under 100.

The restaurant is very good and includes a nice bar with a moderate selection of mainstream and premium offerings. The restaurant pricing is exceptional- considering the quality of the food. Here you can get a 16 oz ribeye cooked to perfection with sides for less than $50. Considering the cost to eat at other restaurants in this town, this is a bargain.

For sure this is not the Marriott Grand with big open lobbies and meeting spaces. Check out the pictures and see how the quaint historic building is different from that regular Marriott offering.

The rooms are very quiet, and it has been easy to sleep here without interruption. This area in Clayton is a close walk to quick stops, bars, diners, coffee shops, and restaurants. In fact, if you are looking for a restaurant other than the hotel, you can start by walking right next door to the coffee shop with lunch and breakfast offerings.

All in all, this is a nice place with rich offerings if not a bit quirky- but in a good way.
