Collision Center at Gary Crossley

My experience with Gary Crossley Collision Center started off rough. I left a 1 star review due to ...

- Lack of communication
- Lack of engagement
- Poor service from the front office

However, once that was seen and it was surfaced to management - Rodney, the manager of the Collision Center, reached out via his personal cell phone # and has given me almost daily updates and ensured that we were taken care of. Having a family of 7, removal of your main method of getting around can be suuuuper daunting and scary .... and he's been there every step of the way ensuring that we have what we need, we're able to get where we need to go, and is honestly carrying the place on his back.

While we're in our 10th week without our Van (we had it for a few days ... but something went awry, as happens on vehicles sometimes!) .. I'd definitely go back in the event of needing work done, as long as others learn from Rodney and his willingness to go above and beyond, and understand that in a service industry - you serve a customer. He's awesome.

When we get our van back and all is 100% .. I will come back and update this review. It's currently 3/5 because I don't have my van. It'll be 4/5 if it can get to me and run like it used to :)

Took my wife's Edge to Crossley Collision for a deer strike repair. Insurance ended up totalling it out. I wanted to buy it back as it's still a great truck. Crossley told me I needed to pay the estimate balance and they would have to charge me for reassembly. I told them fine but I needed it back the way I brought it to them as it drove fine. I was working a deal for a new Explorer with them, but wanted to wait until they got the Edge back to me. I ended up getting my insurance company to cover the charges and went to get it. Pictures tell it all. I got the truck back with some added scratches to my interior from them throwing the broken, blood and hair covered pieces in the back. First two pictures are of how I took it to them, the rest are how I got it back. Over the past 10 years I've spent 10s of thousands of dollars between Crossleys Parts and Service departments. I've had horrible experiences with both. This was my first and only experience with the Collision Center, and no better luck. Take it from me, it's worth the drive to Thoroughbred or Midway. I ended up buying a new Explorer from Louisburg Ford.

Had an insurance estimate done and the damage was almost $9000. I wanted to get the rest of the miscellaneous scratches and chips fixed that wasn’t insurance related and got a quote for a little over $3000 to pay out of pocket. I told him OK let’s get it done. Then I went to get the work done and they said the first person that gave me the $3300 quote had quit and also missed some chips so my new estimate would be over $5600 out of pocket. Thought it was a ridiculous price considering all they had to buy was a back bumper and the rest was just body work with little chips and such especially since they would already have the paint and body filler out for the $9000 of insurance work they were already doing. But I was ready to get my truck fixed and said fine because I was tired of messing with it I just wanted my truck to look new again. Over a month later got my truck back and there is still scrapes on the driver side door front fender passenger side door so I went and showed the lady and she said it wasn’t on the list. So if you ever take your vehicle here to get fixed, don’t just say you want it to look new again take five rolls of painters tape with you so you can mark every single little knick and scratch on your truck Because just because you’re paying a hefty overpriced price tag for your repairs doesn’t mean they plan on fixing it all. $15,000 later and I got a 3/4 done truck. Probably could’ve got the whole job done for half the price somewhere else including the stuff that was missed
