Cool place. Like the atmosphere. Pool tables are always fun and they’ve got two. About time somebody did something good with this place! Drinks are good, but the food is amazing. I got the pork loin and it came with pear on top. It was delicious.

OUTSTANDING!! Highly exceeded our expectations, as well as the past businesses that were in this building. They've made amazing renovations, added a bar, pool room, live music, and the food is actually GOOD!! This place is super clean, even the bathrooms are immaculate. Jessica the bartender/server is super funny and nice, the owner is very personable and will sit and chat with you about how proud he is of Trouble Tap. Definitely our new favorite and will always come back. 💖

Drove through on our way home and found this spot. This place is great! We had the pork rind appetizer which is apparently new on the menu. I was so happy with it and couldn’t stop eating it! Also had something similar to a French dip and a quesadilla. All of it was incredible. And the staff was welcoming and very helpful. Definitely recommend!

Hamburgers were excellent. We had 3 different burgers from the menu accompanied with different sides. "House" chips were as good as I unexpected. Onion rings cooked crispy.
I believe I'll try something different next time as I usually do when I find a good place to eat.

This place is now called Hideaway Restaurant at Lake Chatuge (it's not actually on the lake). Ate here for lunch..

I wasn't expecting much when we came in, based on other experiences we've had at other small-town restaurants. So when the food came, both my wife and I were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food.

The chicken tenders seemed to be freshly handmade with a very light and delicious breading. Meat quality was excellent. Fries were different from any I have ever had--and were enjoyable.

My wife had a hamburger and after her first bite she commented "This is an excellent burger." She even said "these are the best fries I've ever had." Crazy, for a place out "in the middle of nowhere."

A little hidden (perhaps the reason for the name) behind the Citgo gas station.

Would definitely eat there again when in the north Georgia mountains.

We ended up here because the place we went was busy and we are so glad we decided on this place! Our food was amazing. Best fried mushrooms I've ever had, hands down. I had a steak philly that was perfection. The meat was not dried out and there was plenty of it. Husband had the taco salad and it was so big it covered the entire plate. Everything was great, including the service.

Everything at this restaurant was unique. The atmosphere was smooth, quiet and peaceful. The restaurant wasn't packed with guests(probably because of the day and time). The fireplace made it comfortable and romantic. The establishment was clean and it looks like it had just opened. The service was wonderful (Kayla was operating the bar and the dining room). She was so polite, caring and talkative. A huge plus! The menu was a good size and the food was excellent. Only one negative. My wife ordered sweet tea and she said it tasted like the water came from her 🐠 tank. I wasn't impressed by the tea either. Other than that everything was perfect. The have dart boards inside, pool tables, a bar and karaoke. If you're ever in the Hiawassee, Blairsville or Young Harris area you definitely need to 🛑 by this place!

Our server Jessica was amazing. I had the grilled sirloin quesadilla with house chips and it was delicious. The pico that came with it was some of the best I’ve ever had. My husband got the whiskey burger and he said it was great. I highly recommend the fried green beans with both the spicy ranch and lemon aioli! It was overall a very good experience. We’ll definitely be back one night for live music.

Had a late lunch there a couple days ago. Great, friendly service and excellent food. Had the special which was a Smashburger with fries. So delicious, and they give you enough for two meals. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended!

My first visit tonight was simply awesome. So glad I got to sample the fried mozzarella,.and crab tots, so delicious! I had the marinated sirloin french dip, which was also awesome, plus some stellar onion rings. Having Brandi as our server was definitely a major bonus, she was awesome.

My wife and I had dinner there on a Thursday evening. VERY satisfying experience. My career
has involved traveling not only all over the US, but literally all over the world. For 40 years, I
dined in restaurants approximately 4 nights a week - - so I truly know a bit about atmosphere,
food quality, and service. I give a BIG thumbs up here on all counts. We plan to dine here again.

Now called the hideaway and has absolutely no character at all. Food is mediocre and service is slow. Pass on this and there are other places close by that are much better. (Hiawassee Brew and Black Dog Tavern).

My husband and I have visited Trouble Tap twice now, and we will definitely be back again. The atmosphere is great—super clean with a beautiful mountain view from the dance floor! We love the fries, onion rings, wings and quesadillas. This is a must try in Hiawassee!

The food was great and the drinks were on point! Had a great atmosphere.

Very pleasant, staff were attentive. Our burgers were perfect, we are very fussy about how they are cooked. Tables were not to close so it was comfortable.
I recomend them. Drinks were good also.

We almost skipped this place because of the name “Trouble”. But in reality the trouble would be if you didn’t eat here. The restaurant was comfortable, the service was excellent and the food was well prepared and super tasty. This is a very clean and welcoming location with a killer view to kick. As a side note - We arrived not long before closing and they were still so welcoming and gracious that it made this night perfect!

We are return visitors to Hiawassee and will definitely be back to this wonderful place again!

Real good food. Wings were great, just what our area needs. Hallie was a doll, is a great waitress, and did a stellar job! Great margaritas, cold beer and great wings tonight! We'll be going back..

Great atmosphere! The staff is super friendly and the food was amazing! I had the cheezy crab tots and their Burger of the day. Both were delicious! Definitely going again.

Food is excellent! Whiskey burger is the bomb! Don't drink but they have alcohol. Clean good service kareoke and more. Outside seating as well!
