I made multiple trips while I was in town for work and I found a ton of stuff to add to my collection.

This place could make me bankrupt, great large selection of records, cds, tapes, and nostalgia. Not to mention a fantastic supply of older but well preserved higher-end sound equipment I will be back many times.

Miss having them in Brandon, still an awesome store for any type music genre and finding things from your favorite bands you didn't even know existed

A good friend introduced me to the Tampa location, and then to the Pinellas location as well (old one off of 49th street) a number of years ago. There was even an old Brandon location I went to a few times, but now I go almost exclusively to the latest Pinellas location. Usually on my lunch breaks while at work. I go in with my running list of whateber CDs I’m looking for and always come away with something! The place just makes me happy.

I can't say enough good things about this place or their other locations. In the past few years I've started re-acquiring physical CDs after listening to the difference between streaming quality and lossless. I keep a list of things I'm looking for (and yes I know you can order things online but sometimes it's the thrill of the hunt) and this place has delivered more than anywhere else I've been when it comes to the "hard to find" things on my list. I had been looking for Seventh Tree by Goldfrapp for AGES and found a copy here just a few months ago. I made the trip from Palm Bay to both Sound Exchange locations purely to keep digging for my wishlist finds. I had been looking for a copy of Strut by Lenny Kravitz for 3 years and this location had it and was very reasonably priced. I literally did a little happy dance! (I apologize to any employees who may have seen that but I was so close to giving up and ordering online after every where I've been having every Lenny Kravitz album than that one that I couldn't contain my excitement with a copy in hand lol) . The prices are extremely reasonable and they have soooo many good albums that would be hard to find offline. In my 3 year journey of cycling through a few different places throughout the state Sound Exchange has become my absolute favorite. It's also worth noting that most places I go that still sell CDs they are RARELY in any sort of organized order. Sound Exchange keeps their inventory very neat and organized compared to their counterparts. If you are looking for that CD, movie, record, whatever it may be from your childhood or teen years, this place is the best place to check first.

**Edit after reading someone else's review about this place only having music for white people...I have a number of rap/hip hop albums on my personal wishlist and can say of the dozens of establishments I've been to throughout the state this place has a much better selection/quantity/variety of rap, hip hop, blues, jazz, latin music, there's a whole international section of things.

Sold our used cds and dvds here. Only very few are deemed worthy of resale. Appreciate the process and the patient staff. Please consider donating any items SE does not buy to your local library

They've got everything you've been looking for and then some...from cds to old fashion and trendy vintage vinyl and everything you can imagine in the way of artists and genres to choose from....spending some time to really absorb the atmosphere and actually make a dent in the search for all your ears are wishing for

What an amazing experience!! I keep coming back to this store over others because it's so inviting and affordable. The workers are really nice and the store has this homely ambience and it never fails to leave me with a smile on my face.

You can spend hours there looking through all the vinyl cds, vintage hi fi equipment, and videos.

I have always so enjoyed having this establishment of musical essentials. The place has so much variety and the staff always more than helpful. I am pleased they moved to a location that allowed them to double their size and encourage all to support this local gem!

I own a vintage stereo with a turntable. I always come to this store to buy records. They have great prices on used records and now they have a lot of new ones. They also have a lot of cd's both new and used. I also like looking at the vintage stereo equipment they sell here. They have great prices on this equipment which I'm convinced sounds better than the new stuff if you're playing records or cd's. They have a technician who cleans/repairs the equipment before they sell it which is crucial if you want to own vintage stereo equipment. The people here are very friendly and knowledgeable and they are always playing good music on their vintage system. I don't know how much longer places like this are going to be around so get it while you can!

They're very handy if you like a specific type of DVD. I have quite a collection thanks to them and for a very reasonable price.
