Big Jim's Famous

We had a great time for a large reunion group. About 30 of us. All ordering off the menu. Most of us had drinks from the bar as well. We had wonderful food great service. Prime rib was outstanding. Chicjen alfredo was great. Salads were fresh and tasty. Onion rings were very crisp and yummy. The waitress assisting our table got each check perfect even though we were all standing at the beginning of night while ordering our drinks. Good job Jaimie !!

We had an amazing experience! Despite its location in a small strip mall, and small parking spaces, the interior had a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The noise level was a bit high, but that was to be expected in such a lively and popular venue.
The service was fast, attentive, and professional. The staff made us feel welcome and took care of our every need. The menu was extensive, offering a wide variety of options to satisfy all tastes. The food was simply delicious, with every dish bursting with flavor.
While the presentation and drinks were average, the portion sizes were large, making it an excellent value for the average price of $15-20. I highly recommend Jim's Famous Steaks Tavern & Tap to anyone looking for a delicious meal, great service, and an enjoyable atmosphere. It's definitely worth a visit!

There are lots of choices on the menu to choose from. Pizza, pasta, burgers, and more. I was not disappointed with my choice. Plenty of portion for the money. Only complaint is I had trouble staying awake at work all afternoon after such a great meal!

So, Jim's has new ownership so I was concerned but let me tell you you should go back. When you do, order the nachos. The chips were hand made with air bubbles and everything. I am not a huge fan of chips in general but these were so good I couldn't stop eating them! Menu is smaller and so are the desserts but still worth going back. Should have taken a photo. Sorry.

Came here with my dad to try out a new steak place and was incredible. Katy our waitress was really nice and the food was amazing and definitely recommend it!

We showed up at 8:30pm after the Sunset not knowing your hours for our first time visiting this Restaurant.. Ben our Server was top notch!! everyone was friendly & happy to serve us.. Food was amazing!! Look forward to dining here again.. Promise to come earlier next time!!

We had a great evening. They're were 4 in our party. Our server Jason was phenomenal. Never had to ask for anything. Orders were spot on and food was awesome. Refills were on the table before we could ask. They're wasn't anything that could have been better. Will definitely be back.

I loved the Big Jim’s steak and cheese back when it was on Ulmerton. Now it’s big and fancy with a cozy and friendly vibe. I tried a taco Tuesday special, I know weird choice but I was curious. They were good! Three tacos, there was a pork and slaw, ground beef with lettuce and cheese and a shredded chicken with mango salsa. They have a great big hamburger which is very reasonably priced. Everything I’ve ever eaten here has been good.

The food tasted homemade, awesome food at reasonable prices. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The sports on the TV we watched were off the chain. Never saw professional pillow fighting, kick golf, and beer holding competition.

First time at BIG Jim's for my dad and I ... MY uncle was there too and made the suggestion to us. Started out good.. nice place... 30 plus beers on tap. I couldn't try them because it was lunch and I had a long day ahead (but it will).
Waiter Jason stopped by and got us drinks and was really patient while we waited for my uncle.
He offered appetizers too...
Dad and I had the buffalo chicken sandwiches and uncle had the Ceasar wrap. We all loved the food (especially the sweet potato fries) ...
The service was top notch. Really attentive without being over the top. In fact perfect.
Then offered desert ... WE were full but dad took a rice pudding home ...Jason even gave him instructions how to heat it up at home which was what he did and loved it.
Overall it was a 10 plus rating ...
It couldn't have been better and we can't wait to go back.

Oh and the prices were awesome too.

First time there and won’t be our last!! Place was hoping but the greatest thing was all the employees all worked and flowed so perfect together that you would never know the place was so busy!! Asked our Bartender how long she had worked there… 3 DAYS!! We thought she was going to say years!! Sammy was amazing!! She knew the menu …. Unbelievable service!!! Can’t wait to go back and try some steak!!! Clam chowder was AMAZING!! Tuna was also fresh and very good!!
Hats off to this team including the kitchen staff!!

We love going to this place. The food is always delicious and consistent in its quality. I had Jalapeno Poppers to start, then for my meal I had a bowl of Lobster Bisque and a side Ceasar Salad. The wife had their Roast Beef Sandwich it looked very good and she said it was. To go with my meal I had a tasty Mangrove DIPA from their large Craft Beer selection.

Not gonna lie, the spaghetti and meatball is pretty good. If you couldn't tell by my 4yr olds face, she loves it. Great staff, awesome service and a giant selection of beers on tap. Sports bar feeling with a family friendly environment.

Update: they've since stopped serving red sauces. So no more spaghetti.. hopefully it makes a return.

The best Ruben and Cuban we have had in a long time! Even made a second trip. Haven't told my friend yet but I am telling everyone here lol this is the place for lunch etc.

We ordered a pastrami Reuben and it was one of the best I’ve ever had. The rye was a little crusty and even when I heated it the second day it was nice and crusty. The fries were really good and crispy. The jalapeño poppers were not my usual but they were really good and the chicken sandwich was wonderful

Burgers, wings, onion rings, salads, flat breads…all excellent! Atmosphere is cozy-neighborhood-casual with plenty of tv’s playing sports. Tonight’s server was especially courteous and personable.

Met my cousin & his wife here for lunch on 11/10/2021 while on vacation in St Pete Beach. Pub with a relaxing feel.
Friendly staff.

I choose The Beef and Weck sandwich plate with macaroni & cheese. Large portions & so delicious.

We love Big Jims! Their Philly cheesesteak is the best in the area. The prices are affordable and in today's economy that is important. We love supporting this local business. You have to try the wings!!

Really good Philly cheese steak, best we’ve had in Florida. Server Ben was awesome. Would recommend.

The food was good. Tina was very friendly and on it today. I had the Philly and the wife had the 8 oz buger.
