Strachan's Ice Cream & Desserts - Dunedin

Strachan's (Scottish word pronounced Strawns) has the best carrot cake ice cream. Birthday cake, too! Their chocolate-covered goodies are decadent. The downtown Dunedin location gets very noisy inside and the tables beside the front door are crowded. I suggest sitting on the side of the building by the park or walking with your ice cream. The incredible ice cream and prompt service keeps us coming back.

All I can say is look at the photos. This is the best ice cream in the Bay Area, NO WAIT, all of Florida!!!! But don't take my word for it get in your car and go try it for yourself!!!!

The carrot cake ice cream was fabulous, and paired with the caramel apple pie… to die for. Here’s something great: even for a one-scoop serving, they are willing and able to mix flavors!

Very quaint spot for a sweet treat on main street 😉. Great selection of cakes, ice creams, craft sodas, fudge, and more. The Boston milkshake was awesome, the carrot cake out of this world, and great service. They also have nice outdoor seating.

I went to Strachan's and it was a very nice experience. The workers were very nice. It had a comfortable feel. I got "The Boss" and "Pumpkin Cheesecake." And they were delicious. They had many options that I've never seen before at other ice cream shops.

Small ice cream store with homemade waffle cones and ice cream. Perfect for my 3 year old. Reminds me of my own childhood growing up in Bar Harbor.

We tell all of our clients, friends and family about Strauchans. Everyone raves about the carrot cake ice cream, keylime chocolate pops and the fresh waffle cones. It’s one of our favorite indulgences.

The ice cream 🍦 tasted really good and treated us with kindness. They could’ve closed the door on us at closing, but they didn’t want to disappoint my son. It was our first time there, so we took a moment to pick what we wanted. No one complained, but I could tell the young people were ready to enjoy their evening. I had to ring the cowbell and let them know we appreciated it. Man was it good. This will be our regular ice cream shop.

My favorite local ice cream spot! I look forward to my cheat day just to go get ice cream here 😆 all their ice creams and everything they sell are home made. I’ve been to their other locations too and they are all good. My family’s favorite is the Cookie Monster flavors but they are all good. A place to enjoy ice cream with the family any time any day. I always recommend them to my friends and family.

Cute and unique ice cream parlor in downtown Dunedin. Lots of different flavors to choose. I ordered the carrot cake sundae and it was delicious! Nice seating area available outside the store. A must visit if you come to Dunedin.

Lots of different delicious flavors but of course went with the tried and true cookies and cream! Dustin was very helpful!
PS they DO have a kiddie size … it’s under large 😖 tricky tricky I see you marketing.
On the bright side they DO have lids so I took my ice cream home!

Love love love everything there. Ice cream is astoundingly delicious. Can't go there often or I'll get fatter than I already am.

We got 3 cones of various flavors! The ice cream was very creamy and delicious. The place was absolutely packed and we expected a long wait. With the amount of staff and their experience they moved thru the line like it wasn't anything at all. Maybe a 5 minute wait in total.

Whether you are visiting Dunedin or are a resident, you don't want to miss visiting Strachan's! We will often skip desert while dining out and instead stop here and walk-off the meal on the Pinellas Trail or walk down to the marina. The staff are super friendly, the ice cream is all hand made and they also have other desert treats. Everything is top-shelf and the vibe is, clearly, a nice family atmosphere!

Wow! Amazing ice cream! I had the Chocolate Peanut Butter and Chocolate Oreo and both were divine! I highly recommend checking them out!

Fantastic service, we got our ice cream in less than five minutes. The cherry vanilla was excellent, just the right amount of sweetness and extremely creamy, the juicy cherry chunks really bring all of that flavor out. The cannoli flavor was equally as delicious, one of the best ice cream experiences I’ve ever had.

Great place. Tons of flavors. Nice staff. Clean environment. Nice sitting area. Love the smell of the fresh waffle cones. This is a good place to come to and grab a come while walking around downtown area. Price is around $3 to 8 bucks. They also have premade cakes and such on the side.

Stachan has become my regular stop every time I am in Dunedin. Their ice creams are tasty and rich, smooth in texture. Nothing tastes artificial. Plenty of flavor choices. I love their vanilla malt shake, as good as that of Little Anthony in Tucson. The parlor has a cool 1950s vibe. Portions are generous, they don’t skimp on quantity. The employees do their best to serve quickly. Telltale sign of durable success: Strachan is never empty, there’s always families in there.

For me, they have one of the best ice creams we have ever tasted. You’ll find a selection of choices that I have never seen in any other ice cream store. Some of the items we had were Carrot Cake Sundae, a small cup of Cookie Monster ice cream with a chocolate-covered piece of an ice cream cone.
