Beachnutz Causeway Cafe

We have been driving by this place for a couple of years, remarking that we have to try it. Well, last night was windy and rainy, so we decided tonight is the night! "Jenna" greeted us as we came in and we were quickly seated with menu's and our drinks ordered. We decided to split the Greek Salad as an appetizer and then ordered the "Causeway Special" pizza 🍕! It was covered with pepperoni, Italian sausage, onions, green peppers, and mushrooms 🍄!! The crust was Perfect, and Everything was Tasting Great!! We wanted to try some of the ice cream, but just were too stuffed from dinner to order any!! They seem to have a Huge "to go" clientele also !! There are a few sandwiches and other pizza varieties that we would like to try, so we will be back Soon!!!

First time visit and we will certainly be back. This place is awesome and perfectly located near Honeymoon island and Dunedin causeway. The ice cream is home made as is the waffle cones. They have a brick oven for pizza. Outdoor seating has a couple TV's for sports games. They had a DJ/singers while we were there.

They offer a military and emergency services discount but do charge 75 cents to use a credit card regardless of the amount.

This was our first time here and decided it was worth a try. There is limited seating inside but there it's a nice covered outdoor seating with heaters on winter days and overhead fans for warm summer days. There are 8 beers on draft along with limited bottle beers and 3 wines on a tap. Several Gold Peak ice tea selections and fountain Coke products.
We ordered the Margherita (this is how they spell it) Pizza. It has fresh slice Roma tomato, mozzarella cheese and basil on it. It definitely doesn't taste like the chain pizza places. Very light and has a really nice flavor. 3 of us shared a large and had 2 pieces to take home.
Next we tried the home made ice cream. I had a scoop of birthday cake and another of chocolate in a waffle cone. Both we're very delicious and went well together.
The 2 people working were very nice to deal with.
Overall a good place for brick oven style pizza.

We're in the mood for pizza so we came here not knowing what to expect. We run along the bike trails beside this restaurant and it's always busy and they have live music.

We popped in and ordered a child size pizza and then a large sausage pizza. Our server Olivia was awesome. Her interpersonal skills are a great representation of her company.

The owner came to the table to speak to us which was so nice. So refreshing to see somebody who actually cares about his customers and his business.

If you're in the Dunedin area I definitely recommend that you come to this restaurant. The food was excellent and they have a variety of beers and drinks.

They also offer $10 large pizzas during the week.

a perfect place to have ice cream after a day at the beach! their ice cream is home made as is other items on the menu. there’s an open porch for seating or air conditioned seating, whatever suits you. the menu was varied and prices were reasonable. I’ll be back for lunch but today we enjoyed ice cream on the porch. The only drawback was a parent who did not keep control of her child and allowed the child to climb on the railing and run through the furniture on the porch.

Great place!! Stopped for lunch, service was very kind and friendly, I ordered two pepperoni slices and a drink for a very reasonable price, after five minutes my food was ready, and ooo boy they where delicious!!! Just great brick oven NY style pizza! Definitely worth the stop will come back for sure!!

On my way home from Honeymoon island I wanted something sweet. Found this one with domestic gelato/ice cream and dropped by to try it. My fav is paecan+chocolit.
It was crowded (6pm), lots of people were eating pizza so I guess I'm coming again to try it.

This place was excellent. Wonderful service and extrodinary pizza and ice cream. A great place to stop if your in the Honeymoon Island and Dunedin area.

Stopped by for the first time. The owner introduced herself. The ice cream which is made on site was very good. Looked like they had a bunch of staff as well. It was busy despite the heavy downpour of rain. I'm glad they are now open.

Ice cream truly homemade, pizza tasty. Host so sweet. You'll not be disappointed. This is our place for pizza and ice cream in Dunedin, no doubt we will be back.

Great food. Great price. Right on your way back from the park. Awesome meal. Very filling. Outdoor seating too.

Friendly service, clean facility, great limited selections menu options. I had the Veggie Melt. Picture below only shows a half because I had already eaten the other half. It was delicious. I will definitely come back again.

I just want to give a shout-out to the awesome staff here. I was on a 76 mile bike ride yesterday and they treated me like gold when i stopped in for a rest and refreshment.

I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone who worked up an appetite at the beach. This was a perfect little place for me and my mom.

We shared one of the appetizers, and each of us ordered a panini. Everything we were able to try this time was delicious. We plan to go back and try more items on the menu on our next beach trip.

You could tell the staff get along well, and I love that kind of energy. 5 out of 5 for us, thank you~ ♡

Had ice cream with my grandson, he thought it was a great to eat his ice cream out side and watch the cars go by. We will definitely do this again.

Olivia was phenomenal!! She was so nice and was more than willing to go above and beyond for us. She was very thoughtful and gave great recommendations. She also brought out a beautiful dessert for my birthday. She made our experience very enjoyable. In addition, everything was quick, pleasant and efficient. There was no wait to be seated and the food came out quick and tasted great! The live entertainment was awesome as well. Next time we’re in town, we’ll definitely be back!

First time we visited. Love the atmosphere out on the deck was able to have my little dog. Excellent menu ,liked the favorite of salads. Delicious pizza and dessert. Prices are reasonable. Will be back after our beach day again 😎

I’m afraid to write this review. Why you may ask? Because I am afraid of not being able to get in on a Friday night. This place has, without a doubt, the BEST pizza in town. Maybe the best pizza ever! We Brought my mom and she was blown away. We have made our own pizza for years and it’s the closest thing to homemade . Fresh , delicious and not too much sauce like so many other places. Real sausage , not the little balls of mystery meat and carmelized onions. Not the plain blah raw ones. Live music and the coldest draft beer . Try it! Or don’t. More pizza for us😊
