I’ve been coming to this store for a while. It’s been under new management for about 5/6 months and all I can say is THANK GOD!! This store use to be a hang out for all the young kids friends who work there. It has all changed for the better. No more kids hanging out, they’ve gotten rid of some of the nasty staff that use to work there and have brought in new faces. So glad to see the changes this store has been making.

I used to love this location, it was the best. Everyone was friendly. I am not feeling that way anymore, and if my recent experiences had been all I had to go on, this would be a 1 star. I have been coming to this same location for over 6 years, my mother for over 15 years, at least a couple times a week each. Sometimes we go in together, but more likely individually. A few weeks ago, my mother and I went in, and she was told she wasn't allowed in the store. She was accused of taking sandwiches and stuffing them in her purse. 1. She did not do such, 2. the clerk even who told us my mom was not allowed in anymore, knows it wasn't her. I left a message, and have followed-up basically once a week, every week asking what was going on, hoping this mess was cleared up. I left messages with the clerks, even going so far as to leave my phone number. Finally, yesterday, the new manager was in. I am not satisfied, she admitted to me that it wasn't my mom, so I asked to bring my mother in so she could tell my mother, who was humiliated about the situation. I told her I expected her to apologize to my mom, if that was an apology, then it was the worse apology ever. She admitted it wasn't my mom, then proceeds to question my mom on "does she always carry that purse". Yes, my mom always carries a black purse big enough for her wallet, phone and a pull-up or two. So, basically, she "apologized" then accused my mother all over again even though the other purse the other woman was carrying was knit. Lastly, I understand that new managers may fire a lot of existing employees, but from what she said, the only male she didn't fire was the "Hispanic"... um... I have no idea who she considered the "Hispanic" and who wasn't. I wouldn't have placed her as being "Hispanic" without what she said, how she said it, and I heard her speaking Spanish, is that an assumption I am supposed to make? Why should it matter? I must say, both my mother and I were appalled. Do you mean non-Hispanics aren't welcome? You made it clear that you fired the "dark[er] skinned" man (your words, not mine on how to describe him .. by the way, he was really nice and great with the customers). So, is my mother the "old white lady", because you got a long time customer confused with another elderly lady that carries a purse?

A real apology is in order to my mother, and some education to your managers that it's not okay to treat customers this way. Maybe the manager figures oh well, it's only one customer, but it's more than one. If it's bad enough for me and my family to want to not frequent there anymore, then we aren't the only ones who have been made to feel unwelcome.
