Clamshell Beach Resort

While I haven't stayed here personally my mom used to stay as a kid and loved it. Some of the older cabins retain that old charm. The beach front is clean and has plenty of lounging space.

We've used the boat launch here this summer and it's quite deep and wide. It's an easy launch with easy access to the rest of the lake chain.

This is an awesome place to come if your looking for a relaxing place to spend a week. Fishing is amazing! We had fun renting a pontoon and exploring the whole Whitefish Chain of Lakes. I love this resort and everyone working at and staying at are very kind!

We spent a week up north at Clamshell in August and had a blast. First off the cabins are set on the Whitefish Chain, on a small lake that is connected through channels, called Clamshell Lake. It's great being on a smaller lake, with less traffic -- and which is great for paddle sports (kayak/canoe/etc). The lakeside cabin we stayed in (Pinecone) was recently built -- has plenty of space in beds and bathrooms and has a great up north cabin feel. We loved that the resort had plenty of things to offer -- to stay busy, with the lodge (game room/ice cream/coffee, etc), the well groomed beach, fire pits, outdoor pool, boat rentals, free kayaks/canoes, and plenty of yard games.
Overall, we loved the amenities of Clamshell, and how incredibly family friendly the place is -- and will definitely be coming back!

This is a phenomenal place to stay for a family in northern Minnesota. They literally have everything you'd want for a MN vacation. Sandy Beach, beach toys, water trampoline, boat slips, cabins on the lake, large rooms with trundle beds underneath beds, large bathrooms, and an awesome lodge with ice cream, games, and small store! We had an excellent time here.

Thank you for a beautiful week at Clamshell. Jenna, Krista and staff are wonderful. Cabins are terrific and well stocked. The beach is well maintained with plenty of space and relaxing chairs. We enjoyed the pontoons and firepits. Clamshell Beach Resort is in a great location, close to Nisswa and fun shops. Thank you! We will definitely be back.

We are returning for our 7th year at Clamshell. The kids and grandkids love this place. It has everything you need for a great time...beautiful beach with water toys, heated pool, bonfire pits, playgrounds, tennis courts, pontoon rentals. The grandkids talk about it all year. Love this place!

We first rented at Clamshell, then became owners. Our kids and grandkids love to come here year after year as much as we do. Wonderful decor in the cabins, comfortable beds, well appointed kitchens, Wi Fi and more. We love the pools, tennis courts and beach area. The younger grandkids enjoy the playgrounds, whereas going to the lodge for ping pong etc. in the evenings is a hit for the older ones. They also think it is pretty cool to get an ice cream cone and say, "Please put it on Grandaddy's tab." Dave and Lisa Moe: you work so hard to make this a wonderful vacation spot for our family!! Our family had a great time. Great rental home, great resort, tons to do. Internet was spotty but on the mend... not the worst when you trying to get away from work ;)

All around great resort for owners and guests. Has a small resort feel but plenty of amenities. Great access to the best chain of lakes in MN.

A quiet and quaint resort on the shore of a lake, this place is everything. Reasonable rates, quality homes, great views and friendly staff. It's really the only place we stay in, in Central Minnesota

The price for cabin is a little pricey, however there is so much to do, with boating, tubing, swimming, game lodge, open spaces for games and a good beach.

Crystal clear water, large cabins, and plenty of awesome amenities! Great place to go to relax and have some fun!

Had lots of fun here in the past and it was fun to come back again! Fantastic cottage for families with many people!
