Room is very clean and comfy inside. Affordable, centrally located and private. Loved the easy check-in, heated floors, and sleeping with the window open. Very peaceful.

My 7 year old daughter and I stayed in room #9 which has a king bed. The hotel is right off the highway but noise was not a factor as it wasn’t too busy. The rooms are recently renovated and are very clean and functional. Nice large bathroom and plenty of storage. Shower is large and has great water pressure and plenty of hot water. Nice table outside so we were able to cook and eat there which was nice. A nice BBQ restaurant is across the street, Bridgeport is a short drive… we spent 2 nights here and did Buckeye Hot Springs which was phenomenal. Only 2 issues are small and possibly only in #9 - there is a door separating 9 & 10 which is obviously great if you want adjoining rooms with someone. But because it’s a door we could hear people in 10 talking as if they were in our room and they were not being loud (they were talking in normal voice levels)… the king bed was a slight issue as I am obviously much larger than my daughter and I felt the bed was leaning slightly and I would slowly slide that direction. Overall we had a fantastic stay and loved the location, very comfortable room!

Cute little room in a nice quiet area. Stayed for two nights and had no issues. Rooms were clean and comfortable. I liked the easy check in (door code texted to me) would absolutely stay here again. I had one issue and the motel went above and beyond to correct the mistake. Great customer service

The owner is so friendly! The place is perfect for a one night stay. Very cute remodeled rooms. A little small for 4 people. But you get what you can get. I would definitely stay here again if I was passing through.

This is a small 11 room classic style Motel built long ago. It was very clean and well kept. The rooms each have a theme. My son (13) and I stayed 1 night and we had room 9 and he even said it was "cool". This room has a patriotic theme with 2 double beds a small bathroom and a tv. When we checked in Chris the owner I'm assuming/office staff/concierge/local guide was very welcoming and nice. The BBQ restaurant directly across the street was very good and is another small mountain town family run restaurant. We enjoyed our stay at the West Walker Motel and would absolutely stay there again if we are traveling through the area. You even get a small bar of locally made soap and a little bag with necessities to make your stay enjoyable.

We randomly stopped in with our kids on a road trip and were so tickled with what a fun place it is. My husband and I just kept smiling and saying how much we liked it! The rooms have different themes, we stayed Americana, it was very clean and we even got a free slice of homemade soap - the standard room toiletries were also nicer than we expect from a motel. It's like what you want to think of an old-fashioned motel being instead of the crime drama tv motels. Very friendly staff and the view is amazing! If we come back to or through the area this is where we're staying and I'm recommending to everyone!

The photos we saw on the Air BnB app were decent. It seemed outdated. We were mostly just looking for a place to sleep because we would be out all weekend. When we arrived I was amazed. Everything seemed to be updated. It was very stylish and modern and very cute. The only thing was that the bathroom door wasn’t even a door it was a sliding door but in our room it wouldn’t stay closed. It was a hassle trying to get it to stay closed when any of us were trying to use the bathroom. But aside from that it was a really nice motel. I’d definitely stay there again:)

The perfect size and perfect touch of home. Very clean, cute and accommodating!
I have a soft spot for old Americana, especially when they keep and maintain the old neon. The rooms have real keys, and a unique personal touch (not that copy/paste stuff you get in those other hotels)

This was such a delightful stay! My friend and I decided to go hiking up in mammoth and didn’t want to come home, so we found this place and were absolutely thrilled with our choice. We stayed in the PCT suite and it was decorated super cute. The location is right off the highway and there is not much to do very close, but if you have the time, the drive to the hot springs or up to the closest lake is well worth it. There is a beautiful river near by that is worth checking out as well. Our suite had a huge shower and every thing was rector remodeled. The bed was huge and the room includes a flat screen with roku connection to stream whatever you want, microwave and mini fridge too! The grounds are kept by a wonderful lady named Kathy who owns the cutest dog. The grounds feature beautiful flowers and trees that make sitting out on the patio worth the view. Honestly really happy with our stay, as it did surpass my expectations. I think the only thing that would have made this place an A+ in my book would be adding a hot tub to their property, but that’s just spoiled me lol. 10/10 would recommend to anyone needing a place to stay on their through the eastern sierras!

Nice little gem North of Yosemite. Room 11 was well appointed and nicely renovated with a modern farmhouse look. I came here with my wife and two kids (ages 3 and 5) all loved it; our kiddos loved the bunk bed. Staff was extremely courteous and can tell they take clearest care to provide a positive experience. Also, don’t underestimate Coleville as a nice little town - perfect for anglers, any outdoorsmen, or anyone looking for a chill place to absorb the beauty of the high Sierra’s.

This is a recently remodeled, sweet, cozy and well appointed room with nice details. The lock stuck and we got in late, but luckily someone was up and helped us unjam the lock. Other than that it was perfect and gorgeous to wake up to that view in the morning!

Historic West Walker does a great job at making its economy, well-aged lodgings safe and clean. It felt great even for a single traveler arriving after dark. The room and bathroom demonstrated a mix of the new and the threadbare, but regardless of age everything was clean. Its setting on the highway is convenient, but still has a rural feel surrounded by and with lovely views of the mountains.

Great little motel at the base of Sonora Pass, where the program I work for, Rogue Detection Teams, conducts a lot of back-country surveys with our detection dogs. It's always nice to come out o the field & have an uber clean, uber cute, friendly place to unwind & resupply before heading back to the woods. Dog friendly too! Oh, and the BBQ place literally across the street, or the breakfast spot within walking distance are not too shabby either. Thank you for a wonderful & affordable stay, West Walker Motel.

Adorable room (3) with a cozy Cape Cod (home) cottage feel. The bathroom renovation is fantastic, especially the niche in the shower. Great eye for design!

Spend the night here after a visit to Yosemite Park. We arrived just in time to grab some food across the street, which was good. Room itself was nice, we liked the decorations, shower was warm and there was extra shampoo. Slightly disappointed that the light in the main room didn't work and that the fridge was disconnected, but those aren't reasons not to go there!

Absolutely adorable little rooms. The pictures online do not do it justice as they have been, and seems to be currently, renovating. The rooms are very up to date and cozy. If they had Starlink internet this place would be even better. But overall, very worth the stay.
