The Local

We went for lunch on a Friday afternoon. Place was busy, we parked in the back. We were seated right away. I ordered a creamcicle crush which was good. To eat I got the Big Mike and fries. Its basically a big patty melt and it was delicious. The strawberry shortcake dessert was tasty as well. It was big so I took half home. All staff were very friendly and our server was was attentive and just all around great. I like that the menu isn't huge but has a good variety of items. My one friend got the Caprese flatbread and enjoyed it. My other friend got the pasta and said it had good flavor. Noodles were not as soft as she prefers but most people don't like pasta noodles overdone. I would definitely recommend.

The food and service was amazing! The atmosphere here is wonderful. Not pictured is the burger and spicy honey crunch which both were delicious! They make a good drink as well. Our server Megan was friendly and helped us with recommendations. I have dined in twice and positive experiences both times. I will return!

I'm so glad I got to try out the new restaurant in Hollywood, The Local! It is beautiful inside, and the food was delicious! I had the seasonal salad and the French onion soup. The Purple Potato Chips with blue cheese appetizer was so good, and the desserts did not disappoint! I can't wait to go back to try more items on the menu, and get more the the French onion soup!!!

Visited the local today, I had the Valentine’s day dinner menu. I tried the Cherry sour vodka drink; very good. I had the broccoli and cheese soup, so hot it burned my mouth!! Loaded with flavor. I had the side salad with balsamic vinaigrette, lots of veggies included, very delicious. For my main entree I had the sirloin and heart shaped crab cake, for my 2 sides I chose mashed potatoes and asparagus. Everything was very delicious. For my dessert I had the raspberry donut cheesecake. The service was as good as it could be considering they were slammed and seemed to be short staffed. The staff was very friendly, and although we did see some disgruntled customers, we remained patient, and it paid off in the end! Will definitely be returning! Keep up the great work!

The Local is such a cute spot! The atmosphere is so homey and hanging with friends is so easy there. We got breakfast and the eggs Benedict, chipped beef, and breakfast burrito were all winners between my friends and I. Totally recommend with how friendly the service is and how good the food is!

The portions were great! The food was delicious!
The cream of crab soup was thicker than expected but tasty.
The steak bites were amazing. Even the bread they came in were flavorful!
The bulgogi rolls were good especially dipped in the sauce. They were about the size of small spring rolls but there were a good number of them.
The beefy melt was essentially a steak and cheese. It tasted like a classic one you would eat at the diner.
The Italian was amazing. The sweet Hawaiian roll was a nice twist that balanced it well.
We also got a kids quesadilla with fries which was what you expect for a kids quesadilla.
Homemade purple chips were great!

Love this restaurant! The food is delicious! Service is outstanding! Wide variety of wine and beer options! The vibe is 👌🏽👌🏽! Can’t recommend the local enough!

The food was great! Loved the Crabby Tots. My daughter tore them up! Generous portions and they didn’t skimp on the crab meat. Crab cakes were meaty as well. Our server Sydney did a fantastic job taking care of us! Cute and quaint little spot with good atmosphere. Will definitely recommend to others. Thanks you for the great dinner! Will definitely be back.

First time at Local. Shared Garlic Herb Steak Bites and Beefy Melt. Both were good but Melt was a little too salty. The homemade purple potato chips were terrific. Nice people who care served us well!

Enjoyed my 1st meal at the Local tonight. Was pleasantly surprised at the neat clean contemporary feel of the place. It's not cozy in the traditional sense of the word but the atmosphere was warm and friendly. There are 2 seating sections, one predominantly a bar area with high table seating and a side room with regular height seating. While the tables and chairs are slightly Spartan, there is cushioned bench seating along the wall for those who want a more comfy seat. The wait staff were very attentive, refilling water at least 4 times while we were there. When asked , food suggestions and descriptions were provided. They had a specials menu along with what I would call a regular menu with a nice variety of offerings. Some intriguing appetizer choices included a soup flight, loaded blue cheese chips, and avocado bites. I had a BBQ boneless beef rib dinner with pasta salad and sweet potatoe wedges that were great. The desserts were extensive and the Pecan cake slice we shared was huge, delicious and supplied by a local baker. All in all, I would recommend this place. They even have some vegetarian options so don't hesitate on that score.

I had the best time. The food was very good, my server was so sweet, the people are so very friendly. And they had music, which made the experience even better!

I hope the local has a long and prosperous life !!!

Food was amazing! I love the menu options, wish I could have tried more things. We had the signature shrimp salad, house made blue cheese chips and the"big Mike". Food was fresh and delicious, service was fast and attentive. Great staff, kind and friendly. We will definitely be back to try more menu items and stop by for breakfast.

If you haven't tried their cream of crab soup get ready for your mouth to enjoy! The staff are friendly, attentive and their customer service is unmatched. If I could afford to feed my family daily here I would as everything seems to come out consistent every time I pick up food or sit to eat. This quaint little location is definitely going to be a family favorite so swing by and give them a try. You won't be disappointed.

I have eaten here several times and every time the food is amazing. My favorite so far has been the cream of crab soup but also their shrimp wrap. Everytime I try a new item I’m impressed. Everyone there is extremely nice and friendly. I would recommend this place. It is always packs which speaks volumes about the food and service.

The Local is a nice addition to the local restaurant community. It is not in the typical expected areas of California or Leonardtown, but off of MD-235 in Hollywood. The food was very tasty, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was nice. I highly recommend taking a visit to The Local. I hope to see it stick around longer than other restaurants that have used that location.

My husband and I decided to finally stop in and try the food. It's been a little hard to do since they always seemed to be packed. (That just tells me that the food and service are amazing if they constantly have a packed house.) We chose to set at the bar rather than wait on a table the night we went in. I will say that Rick, the bartender/host, was amazing. I had the fried shrimp platter for and entrée and the caprese salad as my appetizer. My husband had the crab cake platter with a bowl of cream of crab soup as an appetizer. Everything we ordered was delicious and cooked to perfection. We decided that night that we had found our new go to place for seafood that night. I plan to visit again as soon as I can for the food and company.
