El Jalisco Johnston City

Was told to give this a place a try by my sister. Came in for lunch. Was sat quickly, drink order was on point and quick. Server gave us enough attention. Not to little or overly attentive. Ordered Chimichanga, Carnitas and Chili Relleno. All were very good. The Carnitas today were the best I've ever had. Very very good. The sides that come with each plate pretty much the same as everywhere. Beans, rice, Pico etc. Nothing new. They had a special on Margaritas. Ordered a small pitcher. Flavor was good, not to limey and tart, to sour. Everyone said they were good. Ordered single glasses. Still same flavor. Margaritas not notch. Will be back for sure.

Love el jaliscos every single time on Herrin and now Johnston city tio. Complimentary salsa & chips is included in carry out too! Who does that? These awesome folk do. The packaging if the carryout was spot on and definitely reheatable-friendly. 4 thumbs up everyone!

The food here was incredible. We went on a busy Sunday after church and were shocked how quickly they got our food to us. I got pollo Jalisco and it was great. We will be back!

Found this little spot online. We were traveling from Charleston South Carolina to Golden Colorado. What a treat! Service was great. Food was amazing. Glad to have found this little gem on our route to Colorado

Mexican white cheese is liquid gold. ChoriPolo, with cilantro, is the most amazing meal of my entire life. Final meal worthy for sure

I was surprised at how great our experience was! The service was super attentive, kind and patient. The food was sent to the table quickly and was so good that two of us did our happy food dance. The fajita burrito, Pollo Loco, and chicken Yucatan were delicious. The guacamole in specific was incredibly delicious and fresh also. The salsa has cilantro so if you're sensitive to cilantro just ask for it without. Overall, best dining experience our family has had lately. Thank you!

Great food. Reminded me of my time in Texas. Legitimate, good Tex Mex food for anywhere, exceptional for the Midwest.

Good rice and refried beans. Fajita nachos reminiscent of a RGV Botana platter, though not quite the same thing.

The service and food were great.. Who doesn't love margarita specials..

Had a hard time finding good Mexican food around here after living in Az and visiting Mexico on a regular basis. This place is very good.

Excellent food, excellent and friendly service! Every time we dine at El Jalisco in Johnston City, we are greeted warmly, served promptly, and the food is wonderful. Every. Time. Don't second guess it... just go and treat yourself to some great food and great times!

This was a very nice, kid friendly restaurant. The staff was so pleasant and the food was delish. Highly recommend.

Staff was very energetic. Food was great. Can honestly say it was the first time a Mexican restaurant had perfectly cooked rice! Love how they converted the mechanics shop into a restaurant, but the parking lot is a bit small. Recommend car pooling.

Food was excellent. The restaurant was very clean and well kept. Portion size was nice and the employees very friendly.
