I've been marinating on this review for a while. I came to Mr. Mason's hattery in September, placed an order for a custom hat, and did not receive it until the following year in March. I paid for expedited shipping, not that it mattered when it took 7 months to show up. When I got it, the customizations I asked for were not present. I requested a feather (I don't recall if there was an extra charge for it), there were no feathers at all, so I had to order my own from Amazon. I placed this order as a present, so I was disappointed that it took over half a year to finish, AND showed up missing what I asked for. I paid in full and made no remarks on pricing ($300+), so I expected a better product than what I received. The hat itself was fragile and thin, made of stock material. The edges were not well finished. I've picked up more substantial hats from Walmart or Target. I'm all about supporting small businesses and handmade products, but this was not a worthwhile investment. To say my disappointment was immeasurable would be an understatement.
