El Charro Mexican-Grill

Stopped in after visiting brasstown waterfall nearby. Nice atmosphere. Friendly reception when we walked in. Was checked on multiple times to see if we wanted anything. They customized my tacos differently than what was on the menu that appreciated. The sauce that came with the street tacos was good!! Queso was good and the salsa bar was different and had a variety to choose from. Enjoyed our experience. Cute little bar in the back.

El Charro never fail to warmly welcome you, and make you feel like a valued patron. I got the enchiladas pictured for around nine and a half dollars. In my opinion, this is a pretty good value. The food tastes great and wasn't a long wait, either. So if you're in a rush or on a budget, I say go and enjoy.

I tried El Charro for the first time tonight.
Hector and his staff were very friendly and took care if my order promptly. I found the restaurant decor to be a nice western theme.
I ordered the #11 and was a large portion.
The Salsa Bar was a welcome addition and was stocked to anyone's liking.
The bar was not open yet but it had a nice atmosphere to it.
The restaurant was clean and roomy.
I recommend it to anyone looking for Mexican food in a quaint setting downtown Westminster.

This restaurant is magnificent. The service is fantastic. The food comes out quick it's always good it's always hot. We ordered takeout once also and because it was for my infant child they gave me a metal spoon because I did not have a plastic spoon. I would definitely order the oh my gosh it's rice with cheese and chicken and you get tortillas with it it's so good my children order off the kids menu and they're always happy this place is magnificent oh and try the dessert you have to have to have to try the desserts they are magnificent beyond any other Mexican restaurant

Pleasantly surprised that the food was great. I ordered the Carnitas. Zero complaints and my parents agreed. The only thing I wish they had was homemade chips. Guacamole and salsa were good also. Our waiter was fantastic! We will be returning.

Best chicken soup on the planet! Fresh avocado, tomato, red onions, spices, big chunks of chicken, and rice...all in a generous bowl! :) Also really love their homemade salsa bar! Reasonably priced. The restaurant is also very clean which is nice. Waitstaff also very nice. It's the best Mexican food I have had thus far in the upstate! Highly recommend.

I don't love Mexican food and this place is consistently good. Fresh guacamole is a favorite. Salsa bar with fresh chips is great. Margaritas are on point with a nice happy hour. Haven't had a bad meal and has a comfortable atmosphere.

Best piña colada presentation I’ve had at any restaurant I’ve visited (in multiple states). Topped with fresh blueberry, pineapple, and orange, plus the obligatory candied cherry. I ordered the grilled spicy shrimp which was a welcomed change of pace from local Mexican cuisine. Friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. Only suggestion would be for servers to bring drinks before food 😉

I had a delicious lunch at El Charro Mexican Grill while on vacation in the area. If you're looking for well-priced, delicious Mexican cuisine, then stop here!

Love the decor and the positive vibes. Got there a little late in the evening received great service and excellent food. Didn't feel rushed at all

Excellent food and Excellent service! This is hands down the best food around. You will not be disappointed in your choice of food. We enjoyed the seafood fajitas which had fish, shrimp, and scallops. The fried ice cream for dessert was beyond amazing.

We tried this place on the recommendation of a friend and it was delicious! Between the country music, salsa bar, and great service, we felt like we definitely found our new date night spot. Can’t recommend enough!

This is the only place I go to eat Authentic Mexican Food and I haven't been disappointed in over a dozen times I've been there

Thank God this is in Westminster!! Awesome food, service and fun atmosphere. So freaking friendly. Make u feel like family 💘. And, did I say the food was delicious 😋 If u haven't hit it yet do so. Support our little town. Prices are spot on so very affordable.

We go here a lot. It's not always perfect, but when it isn't just let them know. The food is excellent, the place is always clean, they are active in the community.
Their specialty Tacos and Burritos are outrageous good (look for the ones with ham, bacon or mushrooms), their street Tacos are just like baja and they cook an excellent steak.

Best burrito I had in a long time (California Burrito). My daughter was pleased they had fries for the kids option.

In town for Bigfoot festival. Walk around for a few and then headed inside to eat. Had some drinks and food. It was awesome. Place was packed and busy. Lots of people were walking around and taking care of the diners. Great place.

Visited while staying nearby and was pleasantly surprised. New Years Eve we ate in here, and we were greeted with a busy restaurant, which is always a good sign in my opinion.
Good selection on the menu, and good Margaritas too!

Excellent service and my party of 7 had no complaints at all
