Doug's Diner: THORNTON

Everything we have had here has been great. Besides great food, the servers have been excellent. We recently discovered their Happy Hour 3-5 Fri & Sat. $1.50 all drinks, I had the cappuccino, which was very good at a price you can't beat. The chicken street tacos were quite good, but their buffalo wings were some of the best I've had anywhere. Highly recommended.

Second time eating at this restaurant.
First time I ordered biscuits and gravy and didn’t like it. Gravy had a sour taste to it.
We stayed away for about a year and was convinced to go back and try something else.
Glad I did. Ordered the breakfast burrito with my choice of bacon as a protein.
I was shocked how good it was, completely unexpected.
Green chili was great! Huge portion!
The only thing I can say is because it was so big, I needed more chili on it, potatoes really soak up the chili. With a bit more chili and it would have been perfect.
My husband had Chorizo on his potatoes and eggs, which was really good as well.
Friendly service & food came out in good time, great for a quick morning breakfast.
I now have heard great things about their burgers so we will be back !😋
Glad I gave this restaurant another chance or I would have missed out on great dishes.

Great food. I had the breakfast Burritto with bacon and sausage covered in Gravy. Amazing, to say the least. My wife and I also split one of their cinnamon roles. Very good food and great time.

Love this place! We stopped in about 20 minutes before closing. The server and staff were friendly. I was worried about going in that late and the quality of service/food. Absolutely no problems with either. The server was very nice and she made a recommendation for me that turned out to be perfect. I loved my chicken sandwich and my husband wants another burger. First time there but we will absolutely go back. :)

Love Dougs and they do have gluten-free items, bread, and Gluten-free Green Chili.

Get the wimpy cowboy with gf green chili. You won't regret it.

I very rarely give places five stars, but Doug's completely deserves it. Very high quality ingredients, thick cut bacon, homemade jams, and really fresh omelets. The cinnamon roll was a little bit disappointing, but everything else was on point. Service and the outside patio were both great!

The food was delicious and the service was great. Can’t wait to come back to try something different. Make sure you get their speciality cinnamon roll! Fantastic! Soft music and a bar would put this place over the bar!

Our first time at Doug’s Diner today 7/2. Food was absolutely delicious! Hubby ordered the Doug’s club and I ordered the sweet toast and we shared a cinnamon roll. Portions were nice!! Our server, Hannah, was delightful and did an amazing job! We will definitely be back again!!

If your in the Thornton area this is a must. We come up twice a year. This place never disappoints. From the minute you walk in the door till you leave, the staff always has a smile and a kind word. Their food is amazing. Especially, the biscuits and cinnamon rolls. Our favorite is the coffee. By far some of the best diner coffee we have ever had. Scott has waited on us a few times we have been here and he is such a joy. You can’t go wrong for breakfast at this place.

Comfy and cozy family friendly atmosphere. Service is excellent, and this little restaurant is quite popular on the weekends! Definitely try the Papas!

This place is a hidden gem! The food is always fresh and delicious. They have large portions. But give you the option to get a smaller one. Highly recommend the breakfast burritos and the homemade cinnamon rolls! They do go fast and are bigger than your head! Happy eating.

Quite pleased overall with the place. The atmosphere and staff are quite chill and polite. The parking situation is the worst aspect, and completely outside of their control. The food is always very fresh and well presented. The diversity of their menu allows us to always find what we were looking for. I personally love their daily board, and it's never failed to deliver.

Finally a great diner! We just moved in Thornton area and I'm so happy we have a great establishment near us. This was our first time here and boy is it amazing. Servers are friendly and helpful and the food is so good. I got the Sharon omelette and bf got The Cowboy Papas. So so good and is a great portion size for the price. Their delicious jam is homemade as well. Will definitely be coming back to try out the other items on the menu.

A better diner to go to if you want Huge portions for breakfast! Food is satisfying, so much flavor in every bite! Perfect place for breakfast

Very good never been here. My sister said it was good place to eat. Been wanting to try it forever finally did. Very much disappointed in myself that I waited too long to Doug’s Diner!!! We will, definitely come back to Doug’s diner and eat try more of the menu. Like the humongous cinnamon rolls they look yummy

If you're in the north metro area, don't hesitate to dine at Doug's. It was our first time visiting a Doug's Diner, and we were not disappointed. The food was hot when it came out and be prepared for large portions. We had the Basic, which is as sounds. It's your eggs, hash brown, and toast breakfast. It comes with a choice of protein, and we selected the scratch made turkey green chile sausage. We also had the Drizzle omelette. The combination of blue cheese crumbles, almonds, spinach, and fresh tomatoes was perfect. If you like home fries, give them a try--crispy outside and soft potato on the inside. If you're not convinced yet, the larger-than-your-fist biscuit and French toast may satisfy your sweet and/or savory tooth.

On the service side, we sat at the counter. Kevin is amazing! He engaged us in conversation during our meal and ensured we were pleased with our meal.

We really enjoyed our breakfast. Kevin did a great job and made sure we had all we needed. Portion sizes are big and delicious. Loved the jelly. It just pours on the bread. Get the plum.

The pancakes are the size of the plate & really good! Actually, everything I've ever ordered at Doug's has been really good. Just plan ahead because finding parking can be a challenge.

Great food! Cinnamon roll is worth going for alone. Portions are big and you don't leave hungry. Usually a wait so be aware if you're starving to get there earlier and put your name in

This place is amazing! My husband and I have been wanting to try this place for quite sometime. We had someone tell us it wasn't good. Well after tonight this will be our go to place. Try it for yourself!! The portions and the homemade food are incredible. We had to try the Betty Burger. Yep, it has peanut butter, green chili, cheddar cheese and blackberry jam. Wow! So good. Becca was one of the best waitresses we have had in a very long time. She loves her job and the food. We will definitely be back soon. Thank you for making this experience amazing!! Our new local food place.
