While out touring properties in San Jose, we decided to stop by Boiling Crab for an early dinner. The wait wasn't bad, considering it was around 3 PM and they open at 2pm, we only had to wait about 20 minutes. What i like J’s as we wait we are able to enjoy a drink of our choice while waiting for a table.

The food was delicious, although I noticed that the shrimp bags seemed to have less sauce this time around. It felt like they had reduced the amount of sauce, prompting us to order extra sauce for an additional charge, which wasn't a big issue, but it was a noticeable difference compared to previous visits. Despite this, the overall service was exceptional, as always. The waitress was consistently friendly and attentive throughout our meal.

One interesting observation was that they allowed a lady to sell balloons to customers, which provided a unique form of entertainment, especially for children. Overall, I definitely recommend this spot. Arriving earlier to beat the crowd and minimize wait times is advisable, given that they open at 2 PM.

This place has been such a great experience! I am glad we took recommendations, and ordered crawfish in ‘the whole sha-bang’ sauce! It was sour, and spicy. The gumbo with rice was extremely satisfying. The bibs, and the crab leg cracker tools were very useful. The nautical themed decor is entertaining, and customer service was great!

This place is the bomb! You’ll enjoy if you are a seafood lover. Most of the dishes are priced on their weight. I do recommend the king crab, fried oysters and prawns. Also, the fries are very unique. It’s an expensive restaurant but definitely worth the experience.

Another favourite place to eat @boilingcrab
.
It's simple steps to order:
1. Choose seafood
2. Choose how much you want
3. Choose sauce
4. Enjoy 🥰
.
The food comes in a bag and you eat with your hands, on the table that has newly sheet of paper (the paper is like a thinker version of a baking paper). If you cannot finish it, just take the whole bag home 😆

The staff/servers were kind and very attentive. They made our first time experience truly enjoyable (it was secretly my birthday even, so that was very nice). The food was also delicious and affordable, so kudos to the cooks! Equally amazing work behind the scenes. 👏 Would definitely recommend this location and come again!

Two trips in about two weeks time should say it all!!

Parking is usually not a problem as there are ample spots available. Once you get in, be ready to be in line for about 45 minutes to an hour (usually its faster than that) though the wait is every bit worth it for what's to follow.

The atmosphere at Boiling Crab is casual and lively. The rustic decor, picnic-style seating, and upbeat music create an environment that's perfect for a laid-back, seafood feast. It's a bit on the noisy side, but that's all part of the charm and the vibe that you feel once you are in there.

The service at Boiling Crab is outstanding. The staff is not only friendly but also incredibly efficient. They guide you through the menu, explain the ordering process (which can be interactive and fun), and are quick to assist with any special requests. They make sure your dining experience is as enjoyable as possible.

In our first visit Vincent was kind enough to even walk us through the process of dismantling the crab shell to get that quality meat out of the same. He did answer all our questions with regards the options available and did suggest along the way as well on what was popular vs what he liked personally as well.

During our second visit Jordan was amazing and he patiently took our orders , helped us with our questions and made sure that we got nothing but the best when it came to that fresh, succulent seafood that the place has to offer.

The seafood is incredibly fresh, and you can customize your order with a variety of flavors and spice levels. Whether you're into shrimp, crab, lobster, or a mix, each bite is a burst of deliciousness. The "Shabang" seasoning with is our favorite, but there are plenty of choices to suit your taste buds. The sides like corn on the cob and potatoes are equally scrumptious and perfectly complement the seafood. Boiled eggs too rank high in the list. In between the two visits, we did order the King, Snow (has a lot of spikes on the legs and can be a bit challenging to work with) and the Dungness crab along with Shrimp, Potatoes, Eggs, Sweet Potato fries and Onion rings.

To sum it up, its an excellent value for a seafood feast. The prices justify the volume of food that is delivered which is served every bit fresh and the sauces/seasoning are to die for.

Highly recommended for anyone seeking a seafood extravaganza in a fun and relaxed atmosphere!

We stopped by around 2pm after a field trip with my family. They had a line still and it was a good 35-40 min to get a table, party of 3 on a Saturday. But, totally worth it. Excellent customer service, friendly staff and above all, food was amazing. We had shrimp & crawfish and fried shrimp & catfish and pfffff!! Tasty, fresh & well prepared. The Michelada was also a nice surprise, give it a try!

12/13/2023 update: There was no line at 4pm on a Wednesday. Everything tasted great. Fried shrimp $14, fried oyster $12, onion rings $8.50, 10 wings $17 for 10 pieces and whole sha-bang medium spicy sauce at $16 a pound. King crab ($70/lb) were out of stock. I was going to order some dungeness ($30/lb) but they were frozen. Service was excellent as always.

Original review: There was a 30 deep line at 12pm before they opened. People that got here after 12pm had a 45 minutes wait. We had 5x bags of shrimp $15 each, fried oysters $10, wings $15 and fried shrimp $13. Paccifico beers $6. Rice $2.50. The medium heat shrimp bags weren't that hot. The XXX spice level ones were enjoyable. Everything there were pretty good. I did enjoy watching the football game on their TVs. Service was excellent.

Always busy so be prepared to wait, but its worth the wait trust me! When you check in they will give you a time and text you to return. I recommend getting the whole sha-bang sauce with what ever seafood you like. Your order will come quickly and the service is always on point.

The food was amazing. The spice level also increases the flavor. I loved the shrimp and Dungeness crab. The lobster was a bit tough and chewy. The margaritas were fantastic.

Just a heads up, if you want to get a table , make sure your entire party is present. They won't sit you until then. However, everything else was great. The seasoning in food was chefs kiss. It is quite pricey, but honestly, it was worth it. It was almost $300 for 8 adults and 2 kids.

The queue is crazy (you can save some time by making a reservation on yelp though) but the food is amazing (fresh and sweet). The service was excellent (lots of smiles and checking if everything is good). To top it all, we were so surprised when we received the bill - it was so much cheaper than we had expected. This is really good value for money, and I highly recommend it.

Insanely delicious Cajun food. We got the shrimp by pound with shabang sauce. I added corn and boiled eggs for flavor and it turned out to be an fitting combo. The Cajun seasoning and butter garlic acted as an excellent marinade for shrimp as well as the corn. Food is pretty much spread on the table mat and eaten like the medieval times 😀, which I personally enjoyed

The crabs were expensive. So, shrimp or crawfish is a great starting point if you are interested in visiting.

My family liked the seafood and its pricey as it states market price (ok to ask the price before ordering). The leamon chicken wings were crispy and tasty. The Cajun fries had a spicy kick and delicious. We recommend this restaurant.

Food was great and reasonable price. Love the shrimps so much that we ordered a second serving of shrimps. The clams and hot wings are good as well and we would have ordered a second round for both as well if not for the fact that we had too much food. We had similar food at juicy crawfish in Vegas but we found the food in boiling crab better. The shrimps were also definitely fresher and we were able to peel off the shell easily unlike some of those we had in juicy crawfish. The price was also reasonable and we paid~$80 for 4 pax. Overall, definitely worth the 30 minutes wait before we get a table.

My third time been here this store… but I didn’t come here within last two years due to the pandemic. We got some shrimps, clams, also with snow crabs legs, and one big Dungeness crab. We love Cajun styles mixed with spicy garlics. Though little bit expensive, we would like to come back in the future.

Perfectly cooked seafood. No one else gonna give you such amount of seafood with that money. Loved every thing.. caution reserve online before or wait for 2 hours to get a table.

You must visit this place if you like spicy and fresh seafood. We have been there for twice and the combination was of seasoning and spicy source is perfect. You may add corns and sweet potato fries for inside of shrimps and you would know that is great in a sec. You can order butter or limes and make it less salty if you like it. Staffs are great and friendly.
