Lakeside Trail

Beautiful lake and great fishing

This trail is not for the faint of heart. It would be an easy trail except that it is not maintained, thus making it an excellent natural trail. There were a few spots to enjoy by the lake. Be sure to wear long pants and long sleeved shirts as you WILL be walking through 8 to 10 ft high bramble bushes as it seems to be more of an unmaintained, natural trail. Also be wary of areas that are overgrown rock fields. Almost twisted an ankle four times. The State Park map marks this trail as unblazoned, however, someone must have put blazes on the trail within the last year or two. This is a good thing as you could lose your way very easily. If you're looking for a way to get back to nature, this is it.

Not very impressed with trail. Needs some new life put into it in my opinion. You walk about 5 minutes to a opening with a bench with no view of the lake. Trail continues onward but isn’t taken care of very well past this meadow area
