This park is a giant labyrinth of paths with ponds and streams and forests. It's becoming my favorite park in Dayton. It's GREAT for running many miles.. like 8 or 10.

It also has a cool history that's described on the signs; apparently it was a dangerous race track for people and their Model T Fords about a hundred years ago :-O

We went to Possum Creek to go fishing. They had plenty of small shelters around the pond.

This was my second time camping here and I was able to get the lakefront campsite which is amazing! You had your whole setup your picnic table your fire ring your wood for burning. And a perfect little area for pitching your tent! In the rates are more than reasonable! There were a lot of people there during the day fishing cooking out just having fun great group of people as well! The place is very clean and well-kept. That night we had the whole place to ourself it was heaven on Earth!

I went to this place it was very cool I love the idea of being able to drive right up to the edge of the water unload your vehicle and then go and Park I did not see a playground but I'm sure there's probably one somewhere around there I was there the fish sorry I wasn't looking for a playground however the bathrooms were nice and clean and have plenty of toilet paper the picnic areas was really awesome they were right next to the lake where you could take the whole family and enjoyed the day and the smaller children to stay under the awning totally awesome

In my top three metro parks for taking a long walk. Varied environments (wooded, prairie, along little fishing ponds). Scared up a deer, a hawk, saw a ton of butterflies and dragonflies. Very few other folks on the trails, despite going on a weather-perfect late summer weekend. Pretty wet in the spring, but peaceful.

Update, still few fellow walkers an a beautiful spring day.

The bathrooms are clean, as well.

Great year round.

The weather was great this afternoon. I love walking through the prairies, the tall grass Prarie is especially beautiful closer to sunset.

Always a nice place to visit for an enjoyable hike any time of the year. Beautiful butterflies, dragonflies, and other wildlife during summer.

What a peaceful experience. We love the mindfulness trail signs. Bathrooms were still open and clean. There was even hand-sanitizer in the stalls! We are looking forward to applying for a permit to camp in the springtime. 💕

The fishing is great if you have a little patience! The Possum Creek Park is kept clean of trash and offers great covered areas to enjoy a barbecue or a simple picnic with family. All areas open to the general public are also peaceful and well maintained by an amazing crew of employees. Great place to come unwind and relax or to enjoy a family outing 😀!

This is my go- to spot when I need some time to disconnect. It's so peaceful, has a good mix of forest and open meadows, and it's a great place for fishing.

Their fly fishing classes are outstanding. The teacher is patient and willing to give 1 on 1 time while in a group setting. The teacher is thorough and very nice. The volunteers for the classes are knowledgeable and solid people. The park itself is well-maintained.

Lovely trail system, well marked and maintained! Lots of history in these woods! The old bridge structure, pool structure, dance hall, and the street cars make for an excellent informative walk! Many options for loops.

We camped over the weekend and had a great time fishing and hiking. The sites wasn't too far from the road. If you wanna wake up with a view, get the lake camp, but please note you don't get the privacy you do like the larger camps. One of the best things about camping with 5 rivers is the they provide 4 bundles included, $6 for additional bundles of wood. Compare that to say Walmarts $7.49 per bundle, it's a steal.

My family has been hosting our family reunion at Possum Creek for decades now. It's great because we have a very large family and need the space to accommodate us all. They have picnic tables and you can bring grills. Great place for the kids to run around and act a fool and the grown-ups can have their fun woth8any worries. Always love my family reunions at Possum Creek!!
