So glad we stopped here! Reviews were great and we weren't disappointed. Crap Rangoon✔ The best we've ever had. The sauce was great. Crab cakes✔✔ We came for the crab cakes. The Best EVER! Crabby patty, literally a patty of crab. "Where's the filler?!" There isn't any. Try them, you'll see what I mean. Don't dishonor the crab cakes with sauce, they don't need it. Definitely on our list of favorite eateries. 👍👍

Love the hard shell crab, and the soft shell crab sandwiches. Always enjoy going here. Parking available in the back. Some seating indoors. Would be considered "cozy."

I thought about their food for days after having it. We went on a Tuesday afternoon and parking wasn't a problem. The service was good and the prices were reasonable compared to other seafood places in Maryland.

While heading to Frederick, my wife spotted the sign for JB Seafood. So we stopped in for lunch. JB is a small place ,but don't let it stop you from eating there . They have a very good menu, from seafood to pizza . We got some steamed shrimp and some BBQ . Both were fantastic. We very much enjoyed the food, and we will definitely remember the little gem of a place right of interstate 70 . Thanks for a very, very nice meal .

Exactly what you'd expect from a place with such a long standing presence in the area. Fantastic food, great friendly, local people running the place, comfortable, casual atmosphere...just perfect Americana all around!

Incredible! It is one of those hidden, local gems that one wonders why such high reviews. Local joint with history and friendly staff. The seafood is excellent. I love raw oysters. They had 3 different kinds to choose from! Seating is limited, so to-go might be a better option during meal rush hours.

This is my seafood time ordering from JB Seafood and it was still as good as I remember. Since they are so far from where I live, I only get to enjoy them when they vend at the Linganore Wine Festival.

The crab dip in a bread bowl is a HIT every time. Over the weekend, I ordered that and a soft shell crab sandwich. For my first time having soft shell crab, I was utterly impressed. And it was considerably big from what I’m used to seeing. Can’t wait to visit the festival again just to visit them. The staff is always king and accommodating.

Great selection of seafood set in a beach type restaurant, nice atmosphere. Each day they offer food specials such as taco tuesday, pizza. Night, and $5 burgers. Some of the best crab cakes around, it's worth the trip just to try to maryland burger.

We saw they had really good reviews and they were open on our way north so we stopped In on a Tuesday about 5 and ordered crab cake sandwiches(2) /a side of slaw/ side of pot salad/ cream of crab soup/ Maryland crab soup/ and a burger for the pup/ it came to about 80 bucks/ not so bad for fresh crab... food was overall really good and they lived up to the rating. I really liked my Maryland crab soup( just like I used to serve at Finz waterfront grille in Stuart FL) . The cream of crab soup was very white and very thick, it was lacking flavor in my opinion / it was just okay/ seemed they used cornstarch to thicken it maybe/ I don't know but I've had much better at a couple other places in Maryland. That was really the only complaint because the crab cake sandwich was delicious and the slaw and pot salad were very good / everything was very fresh/staff was friendly and professional/ the locals here are very lucky to have a great seafood spot like this/ definitely nothing comparable to where we live in Vermont .

We ordered a large takeout order for a party. They had such a diverse selection of food that everyone enjoyed. I placed the order a day ahead and knew I could trust them with getting the job done. Highly recommend.

You found it. This place is great: has fresh seafood with an excellent service and price point! Crabs, oysters, scallops, calamari! It all tasted great in my two visits here. But wait! They also have a full menu with sandwiches and pizza! Will be back, worth the drive.

The blue crabs are always delicious, meaty and well seasoned. Same for the steamed spiced shrimp. JB is our go to for seafood.

Wow! So good!!! Wish I could give a sixth star. Delicious crabcakes, definitely fresh. Great fried fish po boy sandwich, my son loved it. We ended up ordering a second round of Wow Wow Shrimp (the shrimp are not breaded, loved that!). Perfectly fried fries and sweet potato fries. We were passing through, so the only downside was we couldn't try even more, it all looked so delicious. Loved that it was such a casual experience, similar to a diner. The service was just amazingly friendly and attentive!

New to neighborhood and decided to walk to JB and try something delicious! Friendly young ladies working there and although they were extremely busy, my Hawaiian pizza was ready in a good time and with smiles! This will definitely be a "go to" spot for my daughter's and me! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Went here for the first time last weekend for Mother's Day. I had the shrimp salad hogie and their homemade pasta salad both were delicious 😋 Also tried the MD crab soup, baked beans (best I've ever had with real chunks of bacon and smokey flavor), and snow crab legs. Highly recommend, and will definitely be back to try the crab cakes and other amazing offerings.

We dined in. It's small but super cute with a costal atmosphere. The service was amazing even on such a busy day. We spent about $115 for everything mentioned above, a fair price for the quality and potion sizes.

We ordered close to closing time and service was still excellent. I can't say the same for other restaurants. And I know it's a seafood restaurant but the pizza is great. I love the variety on the menu.

After reading all the great reviews, we stopped here on the way home from our son’s baseball game. Everything was super tasty, fresh, hot, and service was top-notch. Kid loved his wings and the Mac’n cheese was awesome. Highly recommend the cream of crab/MD crab combo soup. They even sell beer, wine, and liquor to go. Can’t wait to come back! 👍🏻

Stopped in for $5 Burger Wednesdays, but decided to try the local fare. Had the local seafood instead, and was not disappointed! The Maryland Crab soup was full of flavor, and had a great amount of crab, and the shrimp on the Po’boy were HUGE! And the potato salad was a perfect addition to the meal.

Amazing food, wonderful staff in a quaint, and beautiful location. Definitely a recommended spot off the main drag for a nice little relaxing sit down joint to eat and enjoy your time

Food is pure Maryland! Beat crab cake I have had in ages and they have Gluten Free ones also. Crab Fries were huge and so good. Expected just old bay seasoning not lump crab meat!! Simply delicious. Will be back.

I placed an order for pickup at 11 and it was to be ready at 3. Upon pickup my order wasn't quite ready, but the staff was so kind and apologetic and awesome, it happens!
The crabs I got were so good, I will definitely be back.
