The owner is very knowledgeable and friendly. Be prepared for a "story" of some sort while getting a service. They've got the gift of gab which I enjoyed because I had time to spare and welcomed the extra knowledge.
Selection is not as large as other stores in the area, but I felt more individualized service and attention here.

Super great staff. Very friendly and attentive. Helped me out with an emergency french horn repair. Done in 10 minutes! I recommend them over other instrument vendors in the area.

DISCLAIMER FOR PARENTS: If you purchased or are renting-to-own an instrument from here, DO NOT allow the school staff to “fix” the instrument. Your child should instead bring the instrument home so that you can turn it in to the store.

Ok, now on to the review: The staff is very helpful. I’ve gone twice to make changes on the instrument contract and my wife has gone more than that. Not once have we ever felt that we were bothering the staff or that the staff didn’t want to help us. They’ve always been friendly and courteous, sometimes taking as much as 20 minutes to help us resolve our issue. They maintain the instruments very well and although some of the instruments are a bit high on the mileage, they work just fine for beginner musicians. My son plays the clarinet and we’ve switched it out twice. The issues with the instrument weren’t even the shop’s fault – it was the teachers’. If there is something wrong with the instrument, the teachers will persuade the kids to let them work on it and “fix” it. I’m not questioning the teachers’ skills but the teachers also have to respect that the parents are paying for this instrument and therefore the instrument is the kid’s property, not the school’s. If anyone is going to be doing any kind of fixing, it should be the shop.

The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. They have always answered all my questions and given me advice on maintaining and caring for our instruments and have performed repairs quickly when needed.

I got my FLUTE there and I went about like 25 mins ago to upgrade for the other one and I feel in LOVE with it I like it better there than MELHARTS.
