Max Mendiola the guitar tech for MelHart is amazing at his job man. I'm always left amazed and astounded by the quality of his work. I very thankful we have such a talented individual in the RGV. Highly recommend!

Had a very good experience getting my Guitar set up by the Guitar Tech Max. Fixed issue with rising frets and polished them to look like they were brand new. Will definitely be a repeat customer!

I have been going to this store for a decade now, for both the lessons and services they offer. The staff has always been friendly and helpful which keeps me returning for supplies and guitar upgrades. The guitar repair department is most reliable than any other store you can visit in the valley, I trust Max 100% with my guitars and you should too!

Max the guitar tech is very helpful and knowledgeable on guitars and has done amazing work on all my guitars. He can also provide recommendations on guitars. I also take guitar lessons with him, and I have learned a lot and improved my guitar technique. Highly recommend.

I always bring all my guitars to Max for setup here at Melhart. The employees here really know their stuff and Max is a very talented guitar tech. He helped me with a full hardware swap on one of my SGs and fixed a bad fret, completely transformed and improved my guitar. I highly recommend taking your guitars to the shop. No one else in the valley will do it better.

Great service. Even there were about to close. I arrived 10 minutes before they close the store, but the guys helped me as if it were earlier. The guys at guitar section had an excellent attitud to help me make the best decision.

I like the quality of their Mexican/Tejano instruments. I drove from Houston just to buy a bajo quinto

Took my clarinet to get fixed, and they were pretty friendly and knowledgeable! Was able to pick it up a week later, and it sounds beautiful. Would recommend to fix your instrument here!

Melharts has been a part of my life growing up. Taking guitar lessons from Roy, and drumming lessons with Ed. A place of comfort, and great musical knowledge. Art, Ralph, Rick, Max and the other staff, thank you for always making me feel welcome, and tending to my musical desires ~

Never have any trouble finding stuff for my violin, they sell rosin, chin rests, shoulder rests, strings, and they also have a luthor to fix string instruments. I'm not too sure of the extent of what the luthor can fix but I know he can fix violins. Will for sure come back if I need something for my violin.

Great vibe, people playing music, fair price, went in for an XLR cable, they have options for sure.

Max replaced the pickup on my Charvel guitar. Seymour Duncan had the wrong wiring schematic. Max did some troubleshooting and he made it right. I cant say enough about Max and his guitar repair abilities. Awesome service all the way. I highly recommend taking your guitars to him.
