Rick Curtis Hardscapes

Rick’s crew did a fantastic job on our wall. They were hardworking, fast and able to do the job in 6 days total including the railing. The weather cooperated, so it worked out great. I highly recommend them!
There are Pros and Cons but nothing that should deter you from hiring them.
Pros:
- He was very fair priced overall.
- The crew was hard working and professional.
- The crew cleaned up after themselves when it was all done.
- I drew a sketch of what I wanted and they made it even better.
- They used our old stones as we requested where other companies try to make you use all new.
- They stayed on the job until it was done.
Cons:
- Rick doesn’t have his own contract but was willing to sign the one I created. I made it so the crew had a lot of wiggle room with size, dimensions and style. I know it wouldn’t be an exact science.
- Rick makes it clear that the railing is not included but I would have preferred it as part of the package up front and done immediately following the wall.
- Ricks crew came back and put the railing in but I did have to call him a few times to get it to happen. He’s a small operation, so I didn’t mind. The railing looks fantastic.

Overall All: Be patient but persistent and you’ll get a great result at the end. I highly recommend him!

Rick’s team did an absolutely phenomenal job on our retaining wall. They only spent 5 days completing this huge project, which was super impressive. They were very professional, hardworking and timely. We would recommend them to everyone! Before and after pictures below.

Rick was very responsive and accommodating in working with us to come up with an attractive, practical and permanent retaining wall rebuild. He presented several different options and was able to get us exactly the kind of stone block we wanted. His crew worked HARD and did an amazing job tearing down the old wall and building the new one. We had one small punch-list item after the work was completed and one of his crew was out the next day to address it. All in all, we're very happy with Rick and his work and would unreservedly recommend him.

Rick and his team demolished and removed a defunckt fountain from the center of our driveway and replaced it with a beautiful rose compass! From demo to completion Rick and his team were professional and courteous. We will definitely use Rick future masonry projects!

Rick and his construction team did a phenomenal job in building our paver backyard. Their work is quickly completed in two weeks and it turned out great! We love it a lot. Their construction team is very professional and is attending to our requests, made adjustment we wanted along the way while finishing the job. We loved our newly built stairs and four corner walls. We enjoyed staring at our new paver every morning through the windows. Highly Recommend!

Rick’s team did an absolutely beautiful job installing our new patio. Once I contacted him I was able to get on their schedule to begin about a month later. The timing could not have been better. Now I have room outside to enjoy our backyard this summer and the patio is going to last a VERY long time with how well built it is! (We still have to install a railing or a privacy fence on the higher side but that is an easy DIY). They even put down grass seed once they were finished to make sure our lawn will look nice. The price was very fair too, and I had a lot of quotes from deck and concrete companies. I’d recommend him and his team to anyone.

Rick and his team are amazing! We contacted Rick when we realized our project had grown into something we needed a professional to install. His team took charge and boy, did they deliver! They got our patio pavers installed quickly, efficiently and the quality is great! His workers would check in anytime there was a question and even helped us when the company we had used for pavers delivered the wrong color. I would highly recommend this company and his team for your project!

I highly recommend Rick Curtis Hardscapes for your future hardscape project. The job was completed within 2.5 days of starting. The pricing was very fair and I’m just so impressed with the craftsmanship by Jesus and the staff. Upon completion, the guys did a thorough job getting the yard restored and took clear pride in leaving things as close to the way they found it as possible and finished it off with seed, hay, etc.

RIck and his guys—Jesus, Felix and Ben are artists. They are extremely talented, hard working, on time, deliver as promised and enjoyable to work with. His quote was reasonable, we added to the job and it just made everything better. He even raised and leveled my shed—a huge bonus and recommended design changes that we are extremely happy about. They can seemingly do anything. Everything was put back together—the lighting, the sprinkler heads, the mulch. I would not hesitate to use RIck Curtis again.

An old retaining wall needed to be replaced and Rick responded quickly to my request for a quote, which was very reasonable for the scope of the project. His crew always started on time and did outstanding work! They completed the job in just three days and took great care to save the existing landscaping. The finished wall is beautiful and has added immense value to my property!

The best. Every step was well done, from the rock solid base to the final fit and finish. Jesus was a pleasure to work with as he tried to accommodate our minor changes and any concerns. We could not be more pleased. There might be some crews as good, but you won't find any better. Very talented and conscientious. Highly recommend these people.

We needed a serious retaining wall in a hurry to prevent a wooded hillside from taking out the house, which was under contract to be sold. This needed to be done prior to closing----no bank would lend on a property in peril. Rick and crew got the job done in 4 days, which included demolition of the failed wall and removal of some old-growth trees. The wall is beautiful and the house (and sale) were saved. Way to go dudes!

Rick Curtis Hardscapes redid the retaining walls on both sides of our driveway. He responded quickly to our request and, while his quote was more than we anticipated, his crew did a beautiful job for us. Their work was first rate, they were prompt and courteous, and they worked very hard cleaning up when they were finished. We are very pleased with their work.

Rick Curtis and his crew did a fantastic job of removing two retaining walls around our swimming pool that were not installed properly 14 years ago (i.e. no geogrid). The walls were leaning and bowing, eventually becoming unsafe. Rick properly reinstalled the original Uniloc blocks with geogrid and deck pavers. I would recommend this company for any hardscape project.

This review is long overdue but Rick and his crew did a top notch job on our fireplace / covered deck installation. We had an existing builder grade deck and wanted a covered deck with a 2 story fireplace and Rick's team handled every request and provided the top level craftsmanship we desired. The crew was on site daily and handled and changes on the fly seamlessly. We have already recommended Rick and his company to our neighbors but wanted to give some more praise where it is due. Needed to repair a retaining wall along driveway that was about to fall, Rick came out quickly and the quote was reasonable for the scope of the work.
