Patoka Lake Modern Campground

Clean campground and gorgeous views of the night sky possible with not much light interference! The children's fishing pond is huge and the trail there is worth just going and sitting for a bit.
Incredibly peaceful and paved the whole way there for easy access! It's located right between the camp store and the fish cleaning house which is clean and screened in for convenience!
I can't wait to come back in the fall!

To the lawn care people who started mowing Tuesday morning at 7:30am and were less than happy to be dealing with campers who quickly and willingly tried moving their possessions out of the way so you didn't run things over like dog ties or hammocks or chairs or even bikes, if you don't like people camping on days you mow, then maybe block that day off so you don't get angry at the customers. Thanks so much!

250 series’s is wooded. Sites 70-90 and 120’s have shade. Lots of boats.
Asphalt pads, many are sloped
Site 20 had 1 tree, pretty much full sun next to entry road. Level site. Fire pit area was all grass but not level for chairs.

Showers, men’s had 3 stalls, decent, separate area to dress and shower, fair amount of hooks to hang clothing.

Cell service for TMOBILE was terrible in the campground. Had to walk around to find 1 bar LTE.

We love camping at Fishermans camp ground! Everyone including employees are always friendly. This was our 1st year for Thunder over Patoka and we absolutely loved it that we could watch the fireworks on the water from our bass boat!

We stayed at the primitive campground last weekend and had a great time. For some reason there was hardly anyone there. I think we had spot 14, which provided coverage. The majority of the spots do not provide coverage, so pick carefully. The trails were great for hiking and would recommend.

We love camping there its soo peaceful and relaxing. Its pretty empty thru the week- but still quiet at night on the weekends too

Really nice campground! Showers and bathrooms were clean with good water pressure.

Had a great weekend at our modern campsite. It wasn't super flat, but good enough to get a couple tents set up in addition to the camper. A little path ran down to the lake, which was nice. The bath house wasn't far away, and was pretty clean.

Only real concern was the racoons, which I know can't be helped. They were brave and mean.

Excellent State Park and campground. Clean bathrooms, with free, hot showers. Friendly staff who always seemed to be working. Large, level sites with picnic tables and fire rings. No water at sites, but no big deal! Plenty of spots to fill up. Spent three nights with our two dogs during the Eclipse. Lots of children, so be careful driving. Would visit again!

Excellent place to camp. Loads of trails, bike paths, nice camp store. Clean park, restrooms, and fire pits. Roads are in good shape. Lake is fantastic. Picnic tables are in good shape also.

Very nice campground, all sites are asphalt and mostly level, clean bathrooms and spacious camp spots, nice bike trails, clean beach, easy hiking trails and huge lake for all your water needs.

A very nice, usually quiet campground. Reasonable prices and very nice camp spots whether you like a spot by the main drive or your own out-of-the-way nook. Beautiful sunrises and lots wildlife including deer, skunks, racoon, beavers, and different bird species. Love to watch the sun rise over the lake.

One of our favorite destinations. Great trails for bike rides and hikes. Beautiful views and places to experience the outdoors.

Ticks were on us within the 1st few minutes setting up camp so be sure you put repellent on as soon as you get out of your vehicle!
The showers are hot & have great pressure. That's really important for us when we camp. The restrooms were well stocked & relatively clean. We stayed 2 nights on a site with electricity. The lot was spacious. We camp with a 12 person tent, a 6 person tent & a screened gazebo. Our site had enough room for all our stuff. Most of the other campers were respectful of quiet time in our area.
The camp store is stocked with the basics. Their prices are reasonable for the convenience.
I will definitely make another trip over.

Always a great place to camp. Nice campsites with clean restrooms and shower houses. Lots of hiking, fishing, and boating.

The campground at Patoka is super clean, spaced out and has a lot to offer people from young to old.
We live nearby and come here to bike ride on the paved trails as well as fish from our kayak. The lake is super clean.

Great place to camp. The on-site store has good prices and is well stocked with things you may need. The campground is huge and is clean and well taken care of. We spoke to a couple of different hosts and they were very friendly and knowledgeable. We plan on going back.
