Norma's Cafe

came here to get something to eat across the street from where my dad had an appointment and was really hungry. i got a chicken sandwich with bacon and fries and it was so good.. pretty big sandwich but i ate all of it! my server was really nice and i also got a blackberry cobbler theyre decent. will come back to try the rest if their desserts!

We haven't been here in quite a while. We only came once a few years back. It's not in our driving area so I had forgotten about it. I was looking for a place to eat that was on the route we were taking and it popped up in my history. So, we stopped by.
All the wonderful feelings came back just like when we first came. Norma's Cafe is the full expression of a "Home Cooked Meal" in the very best way.
We stopped by around 6pm. I got a breakfast plate (breakfast served all day) - Florentine Omelet (I was brave) with grits, biscuit and sausage gravy. My wife got a dinner plate - Fish nuggets, green beans and mashed potatoes (the Friday Special). They were both very satisfying!!
We were also served homemade cornbread and rolls - Wow! .. so Delicious!
We finished it off with Peach Cobbler topped with creamy vanilla ice cream. The breading had such a gourmet flavor.
Our server, Kesha, brightened our day with her delightful personality and over-the-top knowledge about everything they served (who needs a menu).
We will be trying to find more things to do this way so we can stop by more often.

First time here I’ll definitely be back! Food was delicious service was great my waiter Keysha was amazing she took the time to explain the menu to me she really knows how to take care of her customers i didn’t need anything because she already knew what was up before I even asked she’s a great asset to Normas Cafe. I’m a happy & satisfied customer! 😊

Great southern diner! Loved the CFS and the CFC!🤤🤤🤗 they give free bread which is nice too! I have yet to try their pie!

I promise you there are carrots & potatoes underneath that giant slice of pot roast.
Also, I never liked German chocolate cake. I always thought it tasted bitter and it turned me off. There is NOTHING bitter at all about this cake at Norma's!!!! It's very moist, fresh, and absolutely delicious 😋 You have got to try a slice!

Went with my wife for breakfast (was our first time here).
The atmosphere was fantastic. It was packed full, but we got in within 10 minutes .

Our server was fantastic. Had our drinks out quick had pur order memorized, and 15 minutes later, we had our food. Nothing felt rushed. Me and my wife enjoyed our breakfast. She had chicken fried 5 I had eggs , hash browns, toast, and sausage with a waffle. The food was really good. 1 order would be enough for both of us. We had food left over and we left full!. Price was not expensive with tip it was about $40. For the food and service, this is a great deal. Now I see why it's packed.

Oh, last thing their corn bread and bread rolls are next level !!! It's just as good if not better than texas Roadhouse.

always wanna go here for breakfast!! its been a while since i've dined here but nothing has changed :) food is great and service is amazing i wish i remembered the name of our server to give her a shoutout she was so sweet and on top of everything!

The food was delicious. The atmosphere was very good. Waitress was so friendly and overall great hospitality.

Stopped by to have breakfast, and it was beautifully busy as it should. I sat at the bar my waitress named was LaTisha she was so sweet, and a great Multitasking different with multiple tables. Food was good for the most part just need a little more seasoning, and the eggs on the omelet was not as yellow as I liked. Overall, it's a very relaxing restaurant, and the staff was Super Friendly 👌. I've eaten here before food was great, but this was my 1st time eating breakfast.

Last minute responsibility was put onto my shoulders. I had to bring some fixin's. Norma's was so incredible on making me look good.

First time here. Beef chicken fried steak. 😋 Glazed Carrots, Turnip Greens w/Cajun Chef Hot Vinegar, Steamed Broccoli & Cornbread. The T-shirts are True! Western omlettes, Coconut Pie, grits, fresh brewed unsweetened tea, toast, English, muffins, triple stack pancakes 🥞. 😋

Good food. Good size portions. You get your money’s worth here. Fast service. I got the veggie omelet with just onions, tomato, and bell peppers. You can add other stuff if you want. The omelets are great here! Very big! Tastes great!!!!

First time here and can say I will be back. I got the chicken tender platter with fries, broccoli and Mac and cheese. The tenders were juicy, well seasoned and fresh. The fries were basic (what you would expect), the broccoli was soft if you like that. I prefer a slight crunch but it was good for unseasoned and soft broccoli. Lastly the Mac and cheese was delicous. They offer corn bread or rolls, get both! The corn bread is sweet and moist the rolls were soft and had a buttery flavor! The noodles were well cooked, the cheese was creamy and overall it was the best side ever. The area is tight and loud but Ill be back to try other food. Overall it was delicous!

Great establishment, retro to the bone. One of my favorite places to eat good AMERICAN STYLE FOOD. They make meat loaf like Mom used to make. Highly recommend

Waitstaff was excellent, it was the anniversary day so it was great to see the fast moving diner with waitstaff in throwback designs. Food was great as usual. It was fast and hot. The rolls are always amazing. We enjoyed a late lunch and we were on our way.

Great place for great breakfast food and fun local Dallas vibes. Normas is a fun blast to the past as you step inside an get a quick glance of some of Dallas' history. The service was very good, we got our coffee delivered to us almost immediately, and wait time for food was no problem. Having young and noisy kids was no problem for them as they were very attentive and even cleaned up a big mess that our kids made. Chicken fried chicken was fabulous, as were their fluffy, delicious homemade biscuits. I love the pancakes as well, they were on the crispier side which is exactly how I like them. As a big fan of retro diners I found Normas to check all the boxes I would expect.

We were headed to a concert at ended up here soley on the name, as I wanted a low key place with good food and Norma's sounded perfect. BOY was it ever !!!! The rolls took me back to school lunches when they had the real rolls that were delicious. The chicken and dressing was life changing, I mean soooo good. The Buffalo wing bites are now my new favorite way to eat wings. The greens and mashed potatoes were also some of the best. Don't sleep on this place !!!!! Go ASAP. Oh and the prices are excellent.
