The Sycamore Inn

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Sycamore Inn and I was thoroughly impressed. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, with a charming rustic decor that added to the overall dining experience. The restaurant was also impeccably clean and well-maintained.

The service was exceptional, with attentive and friendly staff who were knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations. The food itself was outstanding - from the appetizers to the main course, everything was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The wine selection was also impressive, with a variety of options to complement each dish.

The Sycamore Inn truly exceeded my expectations and I will definitely be returning in the future. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.

One of the if not the actual best place to dine in the IE. All the classic steakhouse foods and beautiful drinks. This is the only place I know of that gets me tipsy on one martini! The creamed spinach is excellent and the oysters are very fresh despite not being near the ocean. But best of all is the service. The sort of place they remember your name and how you like your martini (twist no olive please). Also the happy hour is well priced. What's not to love?

This was our first visit, the food and service was excellent 👌!! We will be back!!

I wanted to write this review to thank Eddie, our family's server, for our dinner to celebrate my passed-over BIL's birthday. He passed away in 2017, and he and his wife and friends frequently visited the Sycamore Inn to enjoy their happy hour and sit on the deck outside. Since he passed it's become an annual thing to celebrate here in his memory on his birthday and often many other family celebrations, as coming here always brings us fond memories of him. As a child in the 80s, my parents would go here for a nice dinner out with friends or a date night. Now, it has become something much more special to us. Last night, we put my BIL’s picture on the table, my husband bought a drink and placed it in front of the photograph, and then Eddie, surprised us at the end of the night, very discreetly told me that he noticed we were having a celebration so he brought out a slice of cheesecake with a candle and lit it for my brother in law and for us to sing happy birthday to him in spirit. It's the small, kind gestures that mean the most in life. I would be remiss if I didn't mention that the food has consistently improved over the years, and we've been pleased coming here. I genuinely appreciate Eddie for making it extra special for us last night. Even before he brought the dessert for our celebration, we had a large party with some indecisive people, and he never once came across as impatient or rushed anyone for a second. His energy was enthusiastic, joyful, and kind the entire night through, and I was impressed from the moment I met him because we don't often see people as genuine and kind as he is. The Sycamore Inn is lucky to have him, and Eddie, we appreciate what you did for us last night, and we wish you well and send you our love. Everyone who helped us last night was kind, all the food was good, and they accommodated our request to dine on the patio when it didn't look like it was open when we arrived. Still, they cleaned the tables off for us and made us comfortable, and it was a good evening all around. Thank you.

This place is a Geme! The food was great, and so was the service. Our waiter was very attentive to our group of 12. The last time I ate here, I was in high school. It's nice to see it hasn't lost in hospitality.

Took my wife last night to celebrate our anniversary and I am happy to say that it was a great decision. I was able to book a reservation ahead of time, walked in and was immediately seated. The wait staff is friendly and very attentive. Our waiter, John was helpful in sharing information about the dishes and offering opinions on each. I got the Chilean Sea Bass and it is one of the best things I have ever tasted. My wife got the ribeye and it was prepared perfectly. For sides we got the blue cheese/bacon mashed potatoes, roasted Brussel sprouts, caramelized onion soup and Caesar salad. Whoever they have in the kitchen is worth their weight in gold, because everything was prepared perfectly! I didn’t even consider using the salt and pepper…didn’t need to! You will pay a bit, but you get what you pay for. Our drinks were never empty and the dining room is absolutely spotless!

This was my first time visiting The Sycamore Inn, and it was amazing. The employees were warm and welcoming. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was great. I would definitely recommend coming here for a special occasion or just because. It's worth every penny.

Went with a neighbor who suggested this place. Incredible history. Check out the website for that. High end food that was delicious. Drinks were poured nice and stiff without being too much. Atmosphere was a bit dark, lighting wise but the service was incredible.

Bar tender was by herself and took care of our party over 50 people. She never forgot who was drinking what and nobody had to wait. Best I've ever seen. Food was put out quickly .I don't know how they coordinated all of that but they're tops in all those fields.
Give it a try you won't be disappointed at all.

First of all, this place is a steakhouse and oh boy, can they make a steak! I have had the privilege to eat and several top notch steak restaurants but none can out do the Sycamore Inn!

This historic place started as an inn in 1848 and has evolved to be the premier steak restaurant in Southern California. It out does Flemmings, Duane's, Ruth Chris, and more. You will enjoy the best steak ever in a classic, retro-elegant setting with excellent staff discreetly rushing by to run out Devine meals. Do have the ribeye, the peppercorn steak or the prime rib. You will be sorry if you miss out on the sides (au gratin is to die for). The desserts are good but not the main draw. Be prepared to sit back and relax, quality takes time.

My wife and I celebrated our 38th anniversary at the Sycamore Inn. We've been in Rancho Cucamonga for 29 years and have never been there. The food was beyond amazing, and our server, Eddie V. was attentive and helpful. I would highly recommend the Sycamore Inn!!

One of the best restaurants in the area featuring a premium bar program with a great happy hour. This review will cover the drinks a d I will update after I've had a chance to document the food. First off all of the bitters and shrubs are made in house which is very impressive. They have an excellent selection of high-end whiskeys. And the bartenders are very helpful and create some amazing cocktails. The bar area is very nice, dimly lit, with a very intimate setting. There's also a nice patio area and seating.

Excellent dinner and dessert. Also Very nice place to use celebrate a birthday or anniversary. Very elegant place.

First time going there tonight. Food was hot, fresh, flavorful and delicious! We went early enough for prime time menu prices so the bill wasn't too bad. We will definitely return in the future!

I've lived in the west end of IE, mostly all of my life, and seen or driven by this place a ba-jillion times. Ate there for my first time. It was AMAZING! Nicole was our server, she was a kind, patient (I ask alot of questions 'bout my food) consumate professional. Peppercorn steak ftw. My wife got the prime rib which was great, too, but there can only be one winner. We both agreed that the peppercorn steak was it. The sprouts had an outstanding balance of bland veggie and POWERFUL flavor. I am a salty person (wit' yo salty-azz!) who likes strong flavors, and I salted things minimally. By the time the sycamore special (crazy dessert) came, I was already full. It didn't detract from it at all. Fresh fruit all over caramel-drizzled pastry puff, all sandwich-ing vanilla ice cream. 💣

Came here for to celebrate a birthday. I had included in the notes that it was our first time dining there and they took great care of us. The service was prompt and fast and the food was delicious!! We had the calamari appetizer. The NY strip steak and the ribeye steak with two sides, baked brushless sprouts and some fries. The food was so good. The steak cooked perfectly and everything came out at perfect times. We weren't gonna get desert because everything was really filling, but they surprised us with a slice of birthday cake with a candle. It was a very sweet gesture and it shows how much they value their customers!! We ended up spending a bit over $200 so definately plan/save accordingly. The sides are a bit pricier than your chain steakhouses but they are larger portions. But definately will come again in the future!!!

A place that takes you back to Hollywood days of steakhouse lounges. Great fireplace on a June gloom night. Service is attentive and friendly. Smoky Manhattan is fun cocktail presentation. The fresh made rolls are so yummy. So much history that you just feel in the atmosphere. Love their happy hour offerings which originally got our attention.

I don't have pictures to share I gobbled up all my food it was so delicious. I had their Chilean Sea bass, it was cooked to perfection. My boyfriend had the rack of lamb that was also perfect. Also for dessert, they're Grand Marnier souffle, so seductive!!!! All throughout dinner all I could say was, Mmmm, mmmm mmmm!!! Also, love the old world charm and the dim lighting.

I.worked there when I was 19. I was a bus boy. One day while working the chief allowed me to eat some prime rib, with Aujus sauce. It is the best prime rib I have ever eaten.
