St Joseph Catholic Church

Magnificent! A beautiful church, a work of art and design! So welcoming, so peaceful, thank you for the warm feeling of kindness and love on a Sunday morning!

Absolutely gorgeous and very ornate details on windows and sanctuary. Was there for the weekday mass, novena to St Joseph and adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Provided me a peaceful and solemn space during a time of crisis. Limited open schedule but worth a visit. The church receptionist was kind and responded to my message promptly.

I loved this Church. I went to New Orleans for my graduation and could not attend morning Mass they had evening Mass with confession. The Priest was caring as were the people and made me feel at home.

Beautiful 150 year old church on Tulane Ave, near VA hospital. Father Tom Stehlik hears confessions 1/2 hour before Mass. Mass held Mon through Friday at 12 noon in chapel. Very relaxed atmosphere, coffee & donuts served on Sunday night after 8:30 Mass.

Loved seeing the St Joseph's altar. Beautiful church. I wonder how many bricks are in this structure. Anybody know how many bricks?

This church is so special to me. The beauty spiritual feeling is indescribable. Every visit is even more special than the last visit. In the past, It was really challenging to connect & understand priests that I encountered. But from the very first visit. I could understand the scriptures because Father Tom would explain and discuss in his Homily. I believe if a person can understand and connect with a priest who can deliver God's message from the Bible.. that's the experience that I have been searching for. I love how the lovely music is incorporated into the mass. I can't say enough about this church.

Love the 8:30pm Mass because it's leaves me ready to start my week on a positive note.

And they always have an amazing St Joseph's Altar.

Not so pretty from the outside but absolutely gorgeous inside with awesome acoustics.

I went to a benefit for Ukraine at St. Joseph Church, and found this wonderful congregation and Church.
They are Super welcoming and kind,
They help the homeless....a lot 💙💛
and I believe they're the largest Catholic Church Building in the South ! 1892

Always park at this place for saints games! It's nice knowing your car is safe while you're enjoying the game.

Beautiful old carpentry workmanship on there. Also Beautiful paintings, stained glass windows and statues. There is also plenty of beautiful floor to stand on. It all just accents and complement everything else. The amazingly perfect vaulted, Crawford ceilings, really make the organ pipes, sound perfect. Almost like the intro for a angelic host of choir songs. Very humbling building to stand inside of. Thanks for keeping it maintained and breathtakingly awesome building to go admire. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

It's what church is really all about. Love, unity, friendship and following the teachings of Jesus. I cried the first 2 visits just out of sheer joy. Everyone is welcoming and Father Tom brings you right in with his sermon. Music ministry is amazing. Thank you

Being a native of New Orleans this was my first visit to this beautiful church. The service was a refreshing change from the routine mass. Priest even sang his own song while playing an instrument 🎸🎸 Will definitely return 🙏 🙏 🙏

Beautiful church! Many other support services. I went to most amazing weekend retreat there. I highly recommend a visit to refresh your soul. Beautiful place for non believers also. Call for information on time open to access inside during non Mass times.
