Mr. B's Bistro

Mr. B’s was such a pleasant dinner! We had the loveliest server who was so attentive and kind to us. I liked the bread service here and the mains were incredible. We also had dessert and some cocktails that were great. The atmosphere here is quiet despite the large dining area and a nice peaceful retreat from the outdoors. I highly recommend both the bread pudding and lemon ice box cake as well as the fish of the day! Very well prepared! Bathrooms are downstairs, may not be the best for someone with mobility issues!

We've been to many Brennan's restaurants and this was our favorite. We enjoyed an amazing experience there on Mother's day. Our waiter, Jeremy, was GREAT!. He was knowledgable about every nuance in each dish. He was super friendly, efficient and professional. We really enjoyed his service! The food, was amazing, as all Brennan's cuisine is! Something about the breading on the fried oyster, light/crispy/flavorful. It was accompanied with a jalapeno creamy dip. Delicious! The pork belly starter was just as good, with its Asian tones. Our main entrees were the bacon wrapped shrimp on the best grits (ever made!) which may be an understatement! The lox and bagel topped with the eggs were also good, although they could of been more generous with the salmon. Delicious, nevertheless! Our last entree was the soft shell crab on a bed of succotash corn relish. So So good. Again, the undertones of pepper and jalapeno, really made the dish unique. Our deserts were the Lemon ice box pie and Pecan Pie. Of course, yummy. The lemon pie tasted similar to a Key Lime Pie. So so good!! We ended our meals with Mr. B's special coffees. You have to try it all! I highly recommend this as a truly genuine New Orleans meal! We will return! Thanks Jeremy for making our brunch so special!

I was beyond pleased with the food and service from Christina (our delightful waitress). She took the time & care to walk us through various items as this was our first time at the restaurant. A well deserved 5 stars Mr. B's!!!!

I would highly recommend this place if you can get a reservation.

Service is top notch. Food was amazing especially the BBQ shrimp - although a bit messy but totally worth it. Other dishes were the fish, pork chop and the outstanding burger.

Dessert - bread pudding was good but not great.

Had an amazing evening at Mr. B‘s Bistro. Nice service at the front door with a much shorter waiting time than announced. Cocktails and duck spring rolls as appetizer were good. Wood grilled fish and barbecued shrimps as well as the pecan pie were delicious. Especially our waiter Justin made our evening perfect.

Mr. B’s has been on my radar for many years and finally we had a chance to visit. Glenn was our server and it was hands down the best service we’ve had in a restaurant for as long as I remember. The food was excellent and the portions not too huge. I had the duck spring rolls followed by the wood grilled fish. My husband had the crispy fried oysters and the honey ginger pork chop. We shared the bread pudding and it was the best ever. They have an extensive wine list and make great cocktails too! For the quality of service, overall atmosphere and of course the outstanding food l would definitely recommend.

In my heart, the bbq shrimp in this restaurant is the world MUST to eat!!! You have no idea how tasty it is. Give it a try and you will not regret! To be honest, I barely licked it’s plate. We also ordered the pork chop, it was so juicy and delicious.
Also high credits to the awesome service! We felt super welcomed. Want to give them 100000 stars for their enthusiasm in their work and professional service. We were only here in town for one week but came here for dinner twice - you can see how much we love this restaurant!

I picked this for Jazz Brunch as my last restaurant in the city. I made a reservation via OpenTable. Oddly, the system wouldn't let me pick 1 person as I traveled solo, so I ended up booking for 2. My seat was ready very timely, and the waitress introduced herself shortly, bringing me water and taking my order.

I've ordered the Pearl Cosmopolitan, Duck springroll, and BBQ shrimp. The food was fantastic and I had a blast during the meal. Simply put, love the food I ordered. Not a single bit of regret.

The waitress, Isabel, (I think that's her name) was very friendly and very attentive to ensure I have all that I needed throughout the meal. The Jazz band enhanced the meal environment to another level.

Delicious food! Classy atmosphere and classy waiters. Kriesten was very attentive, kind, and fun. We were very satisfied with her service and a personal touch with a photo for our memories 🤗 We tried Duck Springrolls, Seafood Gumbo, Jambalaya pasta, and BBQ Shrimp, and it was all so so good 👌

P.S. the lighting in the restaurant is nice and dimmed ✨ so photos of the food might not look very attractive. Don't let that put you off 🙌

Great ambiance, service and food. I got the scallops and they were very fresh! My boyfriend got the steak and fries which he said was very juicy and tender. It is located within the French quarters, so after a day of drinking and exploring the Quarters, Mr. B's is a great option!

Our food was delicious and our server was the best!! The pork chop was the best pork chop I have ever had. The redfish was cooked to perfection and all of the deserts were mouth watering.

Came here to say for the jazz brunch on a Sunday and was surprised that they already had a line when they opened at 10:30 AM. We ordered the bbq shrimp and the new pasta dish— both were delicious! The ambience is relaxing in comparison to the business outside the doors. The jazz musicians were talented and really set the mood. Love eating here!

Anyone who has read any of my restaurant reviews for New Orleans restaurants know that I have establishments in my personal rotation. Mr. B’s has been on that list for over 30 years. This visit once again proves why. This IS New Orleans dining to me. The staff from the kitchen to the front of the house want you to keep coming back. I’ve enjoyed almost the entire menu and absolutely NEVER had a bad meal or experience. I look forward to my next visit.

Let's start with A-mazing food! Our party imbibed in pear cosmos. Then had the beet salad and iceberg wedge. For entrees, we had bbq shrimp which was messy and delicious (hello bibs) as well as the jambalaya pasta (first foray with duck) and pork chop. Everything was exceptional and the hand baked bread was a must for sopping up all the sauces! Yes! We finished with pecan pie, bread pudding and Mr. B's coffee. The food was nothing short of awesome. Our waiter Michael was attentive and courteous. The only heads up I would give is that atmosphere was ambient but loud so intimate dinner would be a non-starter.

Tried the seafood gumbo , and raspberry butter cake for a quick lunch. Zero complaints about either. This would be my first ever gumbo in NOLA. The shrimp was ultra tender and big chunks of crab in it. The ooey gooey raspberry buttercake was all of its words. Damn good. Lawrence and his apprentice with the red hair were amazing. Shout out to them and their amazing service.

Great dinner experience. The service and food were excellent. Maybe the best shrimp and grits I've had. The red fish and fried oysters were also good.

Great food and great service. The beer selection is minimal but everything was good. The staff was very quick to help with questions and nothing took very long at all. The barbecue shrimp was their recommended signature dish and it did not disappoint especially if you're willing to get messy. The duck egg rolls were also a great starter and uniquely delicious.

First time at Mr Bs Bistro and was an amazing experience. Service by Michelle and Brett was perfect and food was amazing. We had the eggplant sticks and fried oyster appetizers which were both fresh and tasty. For mains we had shrimp and grits, bistro burger and veal and fettuccine- all were amazing and very Flavour full. Dessert we topped things off with profiteroles and bread pudding. Over all best food we had in New Orleans and conveniently located in French quarter

This is our second time celebrating my ladies bday here and yet again we both walked out with bellies full of some of the most delicious, food, desserts, champagne and hospitality.

I went there for dinner on a business trip. I heard by word of mouth that their turtle soup is great, so I ordered as an appetizer. It was delicious. I ordered pasta with seafood and sausage. The pasta was included spinach. I like this unique plate. I would like to come again with my family.
