AV Fair & Event Center

Hey at the Poppy Festival and I am having a great time, no complaints really. Prepare for hot temps, wear hats, sunscreen, etc. I hope everyone has a great time today.

CA Poppy Festival is back! No longer IN the park...but still near the 14 freeway for easy parking and access. Long lines to get in...but fewer vendors with crafts and unique items in tents outside. Community vendors and business booths inside. Long lines for food and drinks with lines stretched out across the hot blacktop midway. Bring a hat! Missing those shady trees from the days at the city park. More like a mini fair than a craft fair. No classic car show? Art displays are few and far between (see pic)...maybe the word didn't get out locally for submissions. Hope it will get better next year. Just grateful to see an event happening in town after two long years affected by Covid restrictions. Get some sunshine on your face, buy some kettle corn, and have fun anyway!

Family time, we came to celebrate 4th of July and see the fireworks, also enjoying the food from vendors, love the quesabirria.

It was great this year to be back at the Av Fair Grounds! Gives us a chance to get out with the family! Loved it this year!

We go here often for all the events we have never had . It's a fun place to go have fun, depending on what event you are going for, then pricing changes.

Always a good time at this Fair, lots of rides and good things to eat. They have animals to check out, horses and pigs. Take the kids, it's lots of fun.

Great experience. I’ve been to this fair many times for various events, but the graduation event was the best one yet. It brought a bunch of people together to celebrate their loved ones and they had plenty of seating available.

Fon place to visit and shop and eat and bring your family and friends 🙏 ❤. It is a little expensive but it is worthwhile for you and your family and friends.

Local fairgrounds. Make sure to bring your sunblock and lots of $$$. Fair prices for food and entertainment. Can even be rented out for private events. Great staff and clean facilities.

We had a great time! The weather was nice. There was a nice crowd of people and we found lots of bargains!!!

I think in my opinion the Av fairground is the best fair you can find they had fireworks yesterday 07/04/2021 it was amazing look just at my photos and tell me if I am wrong.

The food is always amazing. We like that theres always free entertainment inside and coming on non busy days with wristbands so we get to be big Kids and ride everything twice!

Love this place and the staff. I have been volunteering here for 15 years on the Livestock Council. Love working with the Board of Directors and the CEO. My daughter and son have really enjoyed showing our livestock here for the past 12 years, lots of memories! Now my daughter and son are volunteers now.

THANK YOU AV Fair for everything you have done for my family and I and letting me serve on the Livestock Council. We will miss y’all when we move.

I went here to receive the Covid-19 vaccine and I was very pleased to see that they were very organized, efficient, and safe. I was in and out in about 25 minutes but 15 minutes was waiting for any possible side effects after the shot. Great job.

We had a fun family day out at the fair.

When I was 3 years old, Mom dressed us up like little cowboys and we went down to Lancaster Blvd to watch the parade.

That was 1965. The fair lasted for two weeks, Lancaster Blvd had one lane in each direction with nothing in the middle, it was still called the Alfalfa Festival and life was good.

Now, no one even remembers that there used to be a parade, the fair is only for five days, and they don't even have livestock competition during the fair. It has just become a reason for some people to get drunk at a concert and stuff there faces with bad food. The carnival doesn't have any games from the past like the dime toss.

The one thing that is still popular is the Demolition Derby. But the cowboys are all gone and the alfalfa farmers are growing pot. So why not have a cannabis cup competition? It is legal in Lancaster to grow marijuana. Why not take advantage of that? Own it. Market it.

Think outside the box and try to bring back the past like the parade and the livestock.

They have been 25 games today at the turf club I love bingo we're having a blast over here

Had a really good time the best part was watching the Eastside high school preforming
