The Cigar Box Guitar Store at historic Lowe Mill is something you should not miss if you’re in Huntsville. It’s a one of a kind experience. On Sat. mornings you, too, can learn to play a cigar box guitar. It’s easy! Jeff and Tara are so welcoming and helpful. They also handle all the details of the awesome Cigar Box Guitar Festival! This year will be the 20th Annual edition! This is quite a distinction. This is the biggest and longest running one in the world and the store is the only one in the world I believe. Check it out!

This place was awesome! I never knew that cigar box guitars existed and they are so cool. The owner Luthier was so nice and friendly and took the time to teach us how to play.
We are definitely going back to visit and buy a cigar box guitar!

This store is simply amazing! Besides a place to go for all you cigar box guitar needs - it is a community gathering place where anyone can come, pick up and play an instrument, have free lessons in the most wonderful non judgmental environment. If I lived near by I would be there weekly to share the great vibe. This store is a blessing to the Huntsville community because they are the definition of community builders and sharing the love of making music. Not to mention the wonderful annual, longest running Cigar Box Festival in June they host!

Was in town visiting from PA, we heard music playing and stopped in. I was in awe because my husband makes cigar box ukes, and this store had me absolutely mesmerized! The owner & his wife were so warm & welcoming, he certainly knows his craft!!! I’ve been following them on-line since, and plan to bring a bigger piece of luggage next visit in order to take something home with me! Wish I was in town for the events. Everything sounds fascinating. I highly recommend, if you’re in the area, stop and check out the cool instruments!

Visiting my dad from out of town, he took me to the Saturday morning open lesson (he attends every week). I had SUCH a blast! They have guitars you can borrow to see how you like it and the instructions were so easy to follow I actually played five full songs by the end of the two hours!

It was a really fun way to spend time while visiting Huntsville, I’d recommend this to anyone in the area!

WONDERFUL experience. Players of all skill, or in my case, completely new to any stringed instrument. The class on Saturdays from 12-2 are so inclusive and incredible

One of a kind store. Huntsville it truly lucky to have it. Staff is very welcoming. They want you to come in and pick up a guitar and play.
