Rio Grande Mexican restauran /Purvis ms

This is a very nice restaurant; the service was super-fast and the food was hot and very delicious---and abundant in portions. I was very pleased with the atmosphere and the overall dining experience. I would highly recommend eating here and yes, I will be returning soon.

Loved this place. Staff extremely nice. Fast service and as someone who loves and has had real street tacos from Mexico City. Their Al Pator Tacos are amazing. The salsa and salsa Verde! YUMMY! Some of the best I've had! Lol and LOVED the small tea pitcher for glasses. My daughter found it quite amazing! Def give this place a try!

Staff there is very nice, always checking on you. The food is wonderful. If you have dietary preferences they have no problem with that, they help you with no problem! They don't buckle under pressure with big parties of people coming in. I would suggest the enchiladas with cheese sauce! Or pineapple fajitas!!

This has got to be the #1 non fast food restaurant in purvis. Steak burritos/steak quasedilla always good. Much better bang for your buck than petunias I think. The BBQ tends to be dry and the mac and cheese that costs extra as a side taste like school cafeteria. From now on ill keep my occasional splurge on supper at rio grande.

This is what you call so much better food in so many ways for a fraction of the cost than Robert St. John’s EI Rayo restaurant that’s ridiculously overpriced, flavorless food, & burnt.

We came here twice, we had the fajitas for two that were much better than most restaurants in town we’ve been too & the chicken tortilla soup was so good, you won’t regret it & the service was great as well.

The people were really nice and service was good . And they served ur food 2 u pretty quick not much wait 4 anything!

The food is fresh, the only draw back was the ground beef was a tad bit salty. Other than that everything was fresh and delicious. I love the drinks served in a pitcher. The restaurant is clean and well kept. The servers were professional, and very nice.

The food was great, I had the California Burrito, it was massive. The drinks are served in miniature pitchers, no need for a refill for a while. The service was decent as well, nothing to complain about. There was common decor as usual in this Mexican restaurant. Nothing spectacular, but also not the worst. Will be visiting many more times.

Stopped in with a friend for lunch. No frills atmosphere, but the food was great. I had the grilled shrimp taco salad, and it was fantastic. My friend had the chicken quesodilla, and she enjoyed it as well. Finished off with a sopapilla with ice cream and actually good restaurant coffee.

My wife and I stopped and had lunch here. The service awesome and fast.
The food was delicious.

ORDER THE PINEAPPLE FAJITAS!!!!!!!!! They are amazing! It comes out inside of a pineapple. Pair it with the horchata to drink. Trust me just do it.

This is without a doubt that absolutely best Mexican restaurant in Hattisburg or any surrounding areas. I always feel like I have a good personal relationship with the staff and the food is always so good. They have the best salsa of any Mexican restaurant that I’ve ever had.

Five stars for the staff and food. Lots of food for the price, and it was fine for what it is. The house salsa was excellent. It's Tex-Mex, but it seems like a good place to load up on fajitas to make leftovers for a few days. Drawbacks are no alcohol, and the locals will openly talk about you and force you into unsolicited interactions if they don't know you. So, expect how Southern white people that you don't know and don't want to talk to will bother you. Southern Hospitality. Otherwise this place is perfectly fine.

Great Mexican food! We are visiting family in Purvis over the Thanksgiving holiday. After a long day of food shopping for Thanksgiving dinner, we decided to treat ourselves to a meal out. We are so glad we did! Not only is the food good but all of their water, soft drinks and ice tea were served in small pitchers! Yes, each of us received our drink in a small pitcher! We were surprised and loved the uniqueness of this service. Our server was friendly and attentive.
It was so good that this week we called in an order to go. Our order was hot and ready when we arrived and the food was just as good as the first visit!!! If we lived here this would be our favorite restaurant!

Ate here many times always great service and food.
