SRM Prints Studio + Gift Shop

GEM is my favorite stationery story and small shop in downtown Rockford, IL! Women owned, small batch beauties, unique finds, local artists….just beautifully curated! I am always looking for a good card. I find all them here, every occasion…birthday, new baby, holiday, “just because”, grief/loss, etc… Quality paper goods are my personal favorite. I’m a paper enthusiast and I get my “fix” when I visit GEM. And! I can bring my kids who are in love every time. They are always finding “little” things (as they would say) to add to mom’s quick stop. But as a mom, it’s important for me to have places “kid friendly” and supportive of women. And GEM is that place. They support our community and encourage handmade, local purchases. I love bringing friends from out of town here and finding special treasures for loved ones. The shop has a welcoming presence to all. It is just what you need on a gloomy day with coffee in hand or a sunshine filled walk to treat yourself. You just “feel it” when you walk in. There’s a very good feeling. I could go on and on….I’m just really grateful for this small shop and all it offers to Rockford. It’s one of a kind.

This is one of the cutest places in Rockford! The owner is a gem and a creative freak! The curation of goods here is intelligent, tasteful, and a little splash of weird! It’s more than obvious that SRM has worked hella hard to make all this happen! If you have a something negative to say try making a beautiful screen printed tea towel then you can say it! 🫡❤

This shop is such a perfect addition to downtown! Stop in and you are bound to find so many things you’ll want to bring home for yourself or give to someone you love. Sarah has created such a cozy and creative atmosphere that I love to visit and shop at!

The most warm and inviting shop in all of Rockford! SRM Prints Studio is my go-to when I need a gift for someone. The store is always stocked with cards for any occasion, stationary, art supplies, ceramics, candles, and so much more. I've never had a problem with hours because they are always clearly posted on facebook + instagram. Definitely visit this downtown staple!

A beautiful little building nestled in downtown Rockford packed with thoughtful, fun art, handmade goods, and curated finds. A great women-owned business of working moms. Definitely follow their social media for hours since they are on constant rotation, and the group of ladies are always making it a “new” shop feel. Tons of events & special pop ups. I love all the cards and cute notebooks. Every time I gift a card to someone, they absolutely love it.

They helped me pick the perfect earrings for my wife. She LOVES them. She wears them ALL.THE.TIME. I cannot recommend GEM enough. Three opposable thumbs up.

My third attempt to go to this establishment.. It's very hard to support a small business that is never open. Their posted hours on the website are, I guess , mythical. I had plans to buy from one of my favorite local artists, that has work there. I needed these gifts last week really. I have left two phone messages also with no response. No stars is appropriate.
